Besides being a partner at Latham & Watkins, Mr. Peter M. Gilhuly also played The Joker in 1989's "Batman". Well, that's not really true. However, much like his doppelganger Jack Nicholson, Peter seems to enjoy his "rock star" status. Representing debtors, buyers, hedge and private equity funds, lien holders, creditors' committees and boards of directors, he has worked with some interesting people. Guitar Center, Kendall Jackson, and Comtel Investments; that's at least two-thirds of the old adage about sex, drugs, and rock & roll! He also represented EMI/Priority Records against the rapper Master P., as well as a $550 million refinancing of a Las Vegas development. "That's straight up gansta style." Is it any surprise Deal magazine called him a "Top Bankruptcy Lawyer"? Having served in the Peace Corps in Nepal from 1983 to 1986, this guy is no "Joker"; he's clearly one of "The Best Lawyers in America."
