Richard Shaw practices in business and tax planning and estate planning. He serves in business, stock and tax litigation matters. Mr. Shaw is a nationally established business and tax attorney and head of the section of Taxation, a council of over 20,000 members. In the year of 1985 Mr. Shaw was awarded "American Bar Tax Section Distiguished Service Award." He has been a professor since 1978 and has lectured at the University of San Diego Law School for Masters taxation program. Mr. Shaw has given many years of his time to community service of San Diego. He is a former member of the San Diego Museum of Art and Business Circle.
