what's interesting about Anne?

If you're looking for a teacher who is involved with her school at all levels, you're looking for Anne Clark. Her background is prestigious: she is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Harvard/Radcliffe College and has a Master's in English and American Literature and an A.B.D. in secondary literary theory and instruction from University of Wisconsin at Madison. For the last several years, however, you can find Clark teaching English or serving as the Curriculum and Special Needs Coordinator at the Boston Arts Academy in Boston, MA. Yep, she does it all, and she has filled both teaching and administrative roles since the school's inception. But all her hard work paid off in 2007 when she was recognized with a $25,000 Milken National Educator award. Says Boston Arts Academy Headmaster of Clark, "I think what most defines Anne as an excellent educator is her ability to think beyond her own classroom and her own students." That's certainly true, as her innovations in education have extended beyond Boston Arts Academy to schools throughout the Boston Public Schools. One such example is her literacy-across-the-curriculum model, a fitting achievement for an educator with a background as varied as Clark's.
