Marion Weiss has had a distinguished career as both an architectural student and professional. She currently teaches at the University of Pennsylvania's Penn School of Design as the Graham Chair Professor of Architecture. Ms. Weiss has served as a judge in architectural competitions as well, but her forte remains the poignant and unique works for which her firm has become so renowned. The bulk of her work appears on the eastern horizon, from New York to Massachusetts, but she has received national acclaim for projects on the West Coast as well. Her Olympic Sculpture Park for the Seattle Art Museum was winner of the national competition and Progressive Architecture Award, and her firm's Whitney Center, a retreat for the United Nations, was inaugurated in May 2006 with a conference hosted by Kofi Annan.
