what's interesting about Frances?

Frances Forbes' Web site will tell you that *98%* of people buying a home do so online. The figure I had come across once before told me it was closer to 85%, but either way, no one can deny the importance the Internet has on real estate today. And that's why success in the industry, I find, is so dependent on creating the type of Internet presence that Forbes has. The first step is always going to be to create a personal Web site for yourself, which serves as an outlet to broadcasting your presence to the world. Forbes' site is really no better than most other realtors, but it's the fact that she is out there. And she's created a little logo with her name in it for herself that graces the front page of her site. It's such a little thing, but this is what creates emotional attachments between realtors and clients to keep them coming back. It's called salesmanship and marketing. I just rather enjoy Forbes' claim that she will literally do whatever it takes to sell a home, because I'd be interested to see to what lengths she does. I've seen some realtors bring magic tricks to open houses they had become so desperate. I'm sure Forbes wouldn't stoop to that, but you never know. If her site is any indication, there really is little that separates Forbes from the rest of her like-minded competition--those that also maintain an Internet presence, that is. Her mission statement is rather bland and cliche, and she doesn't impress me on any one front. Would I keep looking? Most likely.
