Joseph Ankus has lived in sunny Florida most of his life, and despite the hurricanes, he's managed to stay firmly rooted in the Sunshine State. He was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida before he went north to attend the University of Pennsylvanie, where he graduated with honors and received a bachelors in Communications Systems and a minor from the Wharton School in Marketing. Like many other legal recruiters, Mr. Ankus is a law school graduate. He returned to his home state, graduated from the University of Florida College of Law, with honors, and was a Senior Editor of the Florida Law Review. After law school, he entered the legal profession as an associate of two of the nation's largest law firms before finally settling on a career in legal recruiting. Since 1991, when he founded his own firm, Ankus Consulting, Inc., Joseph has maintained an active professional life, networking throughout the nation with his fellow colleagues. He is the current Executive Director of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC), a former Board Member and member of the Ethics Committee.
