Housing crisis? BAH! The Dynamic Dou of Real Estate - Jill Eber and Jill Hertzberg, collectively know as The Jills - doesn't see any recession. In fact, they've not seen a buyer run to the hills at all with the maintained confidence in the Miami market. Of course, finding a hill to run to in the flat lands of South Florida is nearly impossible...unless you count sand dunes. For the Jills, the luxury home market in Miami and its surrounding areas appear to be soaring. And while most of the country is off licking its housing bust wounds, South Florida continues to be a hot-spot for the wealthy. As a result, Eber and Hertzberg are very busy - as they have been steadily for the past 20 years. In just a couple of months they moved 7 properties each with a value in excess of $10 million. In the past, they found Mets all-star catcher Mike Piazza and his wife's dream condo for them, and helped Maurice Gibb and Ricky Martin sell their copious, upper-crust homes. According to a Coldwell Banker report, in 2005 Eber and Hertzberg were responsible for about $300 million in residential sales and today, their partnership accounts for .5% of Coldwell's total sales worldwide. Together, The Jills say they have an energy exclusive to their symbiotic relationship. But humbly, they do mention that the South Florida scene attracts people who know what they want to buy before they even pick up the phone.
