Rob has been a partner at First Round Capital since 2006. As one could probably deduce from the name, First Round focuses on providing seed capital for early stage startups. He currently sits on the board of MINT, an online personal finance site. Rob has invested in companies like Digg, Krugle, Wikia and Metaweb. He joined First Round from Omidyar Network where he led most of the firm's initial venture capital deals. Prior to Omidyar, Rob worked at Palm and GoCorp where he spent his time building simple, intuitive, integrated applications for handheld devices. He also built Palm's corporate venture fund. Rob holds a MBA from Columbia and an undergraduate degree in political economy from UC Berkeley.
