what's interesting about Gregg?

In 1978 when legal recruitment was a burgeoning field Gregg Ziskind joined with partner Michael Greene to establish Ziskind Greene, a firm which claims to have essentially created the legal search business in California. With offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orange County and San Diego, the firm of Ziskind Greene quickly became the largest legal search firm in California with as many as twenty recruiters before Michael Greene's death in 1986. In 1990 Ziskind Greene refocused its efforts from the placement of associates in law firms to the placement of senior lawyers and lawyer groups and law form mergers and acquisitions, a focus which continues to this day. While his firm Ziskind Greene continues to concentrate on high level placements, Ziskind himself continues to aid attorneys at the associate level with the establishment in 1991 of the website Emplawyernet. The site provides a distribution network of information for job and career development for lawyers and the law firms, corporations and government agencies which employ them. Ziskind was a founder of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants, and served on its Board of Directors from 1984-1988, drafting the industry's national Code of Ethics during that time. He has also written and spoken across the nation on issues pertaining to legal search and the industry as a whole.
