A good gauge of any profession is whether they are liked by their staff. Keith McKellogg was voted Attorney of the Year by the San Diego Association of Legal Assistants. Not too shabby. I have to wonder if he offered them a casual Friday for the vote of confidence or perhaps free ice cream; I'm sure it was all above board. Mr. McKellogg is regarded by his peers as a highly ethical advocate. That might be a good or a bad thing depending on what side of the law you happen to find yourself when you call on his services. There's a certain amount of moral flexibility that most lawyers need to put forth a zealous defense. Too honest and you'll get something like, "How does he plea, your honor? Guilty as sin, your honor." Case closed, right? All this may or may not apply to you unless you're the head of company or some other such entity as he only works in the corporate sphere. All is not lost though. If you had your heart set on McKellogg or one of his ilk, there are others in his office who I'm sure will take your case and provide that zealous defense you were looking for. Which makes me wonder, what exactly did you do that you need a lawyer of his caliber?
