Phil Tuggle is the Senior Vice President Information Technology Services with Southwire Company, one of the nation's leading wire and cable manufacturers. He's been with Southwire for over 16 years, currently leading the company's IT efforts with responsibility for all of the company's information and communications systems. With 77 employees and a budget of $15 million he's overhauling the company's IT infrastructure to shift services over to a new application architecture in order to improve the company's application delivery and increase project management efficiency. He's been with Southwire's IT unit since 2003, first as director of applications development, then moving to his current position in 2007. He's active in several industry organizations, serving as a member of the board of the Industry Data Exchange Association and on the advisory board of Omnicron Atlanta. He's also a member of the Society for Information Management, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and the Carrolton Lions Club. His efforts in the Southwire IT department has gained the company a place in the InformationWeek 500 for 2008, a list of companies considered to be the most innovative in the use of IT.
