It's quite a challenge living up to parents' expectations. It's even harder when those parents and previous generations have established a family legacy. Coming from the iconic "Hart" family, Natalie Katherine Neidhart has quite a challenge ahead of her and so far her results have been mixed.
As the daughter of wrestler Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, and the granddaughter of the late Stu Hart, it's only natural that Natalie had an itch which could only be scratched by wrestling. Natalie was trained by her uncles Ross and Bruce Hart in the Hart family Dungeon where her uncles and other wrestlers were trained. Adding to her physical background, Natalie took up amateur wrestling and mixed martial arts. After her training, Natalie began wrestling for Stampede Wrestling which was founded by her grandfather, and while there she achieved noticeable success. After seeing action in England and Japan, Natalie signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on January 5, 2007.
While wrestling in Ohio Valley Wrestling, used as the WWE's developmental league, Natalie and her cousins Teddy Hart and Harry Smith were dubbed "the Next Generation Hart Foundation" which was a nod to her uncles in the original foundation. On the April 4, 2008 edition of "SmackDown," Natalie, re-invented as Natalya Neidhart, developed an instant heel persona by attacking well-liked female wrestlers. Since debuting, Natalie has only had one defining moment which saw her become a finalist in determining a new women's champion. Between Natalie's frequent use of low-cut tops and the fact that lately she's been used as non-wrestling arm candy, the day of her becoming a champion and living up to the Hart legacy seems like a long way off.
