The name Hancock is pretty synonymous with another famous Hancock: John Hancock. Or at least it is to me. On Hancock’s website, the main banner is comprised of his signature and the line: “a name you can trust.” It reminds me of John Hancock’s signature on the Declaration of Independence. John Hancock’s name alone has become another synonym for signature, and this certainly is not lost on James Hancock.

Likewise, in his ‘about me’ page, John points out that he specializes in referrals, which harkens back to the selling line: “a name you can trust.” When you project yourself to the public like this, it’s definitely no coincidence. It’s always good to get a third party’s perspective that is independent of who you’re conducting business with. But for all intents and purposes, Hancock wouldn’t advertise being something that he is remotely not. If he boasts that previous clients have enjoyed working with him, Hancock is likely being truthful in his assertions that he is a salesman that you can trust.
