what's interesting about Boris?

Boris Collardi joined Julius Baer in 2006 as COO and a Member of the Executive Board.  He arrived at his new firm after 12 years spent with Credit Suisse Geneva, rising through the ranks of their Private Banking division to CFO.  It was a fairly quick journey to the top at Credit Suisse for Collardi, and he’s shown no signs of slowing since joining Julius Baer, already being promoted to CEO of their Private Bank services.  He topped the ranks of Wealth Bulletin’s Top 40 under 40 as the number one rising star in European wealth management at only 33 in 2008.  A good advertisement for Credit Suisse’s Career Starter Program where he got his start, unlike most in his industry he’s made it to the top without a university degree.  And while he says he’s happy where he is with no plans for a move, many in the banking industry have their eye on him for a future as CEO of one of the big name Swiss private banks.  As a new CEO at Baer, Collardi is faced with implementing new rules that loosen bank secrecy requirements, rules created under pressure from the U.S. and Europe.  Collardi has shown himself to be the adjustable type, and with strong backing from the Board at Baer, it’s expected that he’ll continue the traditional nature of the firm, providing a sense of continuity for Baer during a period that promises more change than usual.
