Randy Landis took a roundabout way to get to his position as broker/owner of EXIT Realty Premiere in Tupelo, Mississippi. Like a lot of agents, real estate was probably the furthest thing from his mind when you really start having to think about careers in the latter years of high school. Randy's thoughts brought him to joining the Navy and somehow or other, he served with the Naval Weather Service while at the same time earning his degree in business. After leaving the service, Randy's weather-related experience influenced him to a 25-year career working with the National Weather Service. Desiring a change, Randy left that career and played around with a number of other options which included restaurants, nightclubs, construction, and home remodeling. Randy found himself as the Tupelo City Carpenter and was preparing to take the state General Contractors License. Finally, Randy decided real estate was going to be his ticket and in 2001, he became licensed and embarked on his new career. Things quickly clicked and reached a climax in 2005 where he finished in the top 5 of all agents in northeast Mississippi with over $8 million in sales. Randy has since obtained his Broker's license and opened up an EXIT Realty Franchise serving the area. Its good to see that Randy "weathered" the storm of career choices and is forecasting smooth sailing ahead.
