It's about time someone wrote a review on an earthworm supplier. Earthworms actually are fairly integral to green living, being the chief engineers of the decomposition of waste for use in all kinds of gardens. My personal reason for appreciating a good earthworm site is that I have an infuriatingly choosy box turtle who refuses to eat anything that doesn't move or is in any way crunchy. Many crickets, superworms, and vegetables have curled up in the corner and dried while Hatch turned up her nose at my pitiful offering. To those readers who may be concerned that I am bending to the whims of my obstinate reptile rather than considering her health and well-being, she does eventually eat the kale or whatever else I toss in there. I just figure it's only fair that she gets what she likes every once in a while, and a little protein is still good for her, even as an adult. So, Northwest Wigglers is a good resource for live turtle food, though the worms themselves might have more fun chomping wilted lettuce in an organic garden than twisting down the gullet of a hungry turtle. The NWW site is earthy and gorgeous, exactly how I would expect a worm website should be. They also have a tab off of the front page entitled 'Worm Info,' which is a niche concept I never considered before reading it. 'Worm info' consists of everything one needs to know in order to compost with worms, from the bin construction to the care and feeding to vermicompost tea, which is a concept I still do not comprehend. Regardless, for everything related to composting with worms, and for my own less lofty purposes of keeping my attitudinal turtle happy, the Northwest Wigglers site is a blissful web experience.
