I'd be lying if I said there was much substance to Haley Skerrett, the Creative Property Services realtor in Santa Rosa, CA. And that's because, well, she's still kind of new to the job. Skerrett joined CPS in 2008, which all signs point to being her first real estate gig. Now, in the down California real estate industry, that doesn't exactly instill confidence in your typical nervous client looking to buy or sell their home in the frame of mind of knowing that the waters ahead are going to be just a little rough. Because you want a seasoned veteran who's been through the trials and tribulations dozens of a times over steering your boat. Not a green recruit still getting their feet wet. But still, with that being said, Skerrett does have a few "veteran" merits to her credit. For starters, I'm impressed by the fact that she owns an Internet domain name. Even if this personal Web site of hers is virtually useless, since it's just a copy-and-paste job of her bio page on the CPS parent site. But still, the initiative is there. Now it's up to her to take it the extra step and turn that site into a marketing production to be proud of. And secondly, I'm impressed by her property listings. She's already working in high-priced, middle-class, single-family homes. We're talking upwards of $700k, which is a great sign for a new realtor, because it shows that they're making headway and establishing themselves as a force in the industry. I see potential in Haley Skerrett, but I still see the newbie realtor shining through, and that makes me nervous as a hypothetical home owner.
