I can’t even imagine how many units the Chief Engineer of an air conditioning and heater company has worked on. Too many to count, I’m sure. But I’m sure that his plush office job as a Vice President doesn’t require too much hands-on work anymore. Rob Penrod has held the positions of Chief Engineer and Vice President for his Northern California business, Beutler Corporation, for nearly two decades. This Berkeley educated engineer has been with this company helping to offer heating and cooling services for commercial and residential clients alike for a long, long time. I particularly like that fact the Beutler Corporation is now turning towards the emerging ‘green’ industry where high precedence is placed upon healthy, eco-friendly materials, technologies, and systems. A few staff members of Beutler are even Certified Green Building Professionals (CGBP), which indicates a sincere interest in sustainable solutions. Maybe Penrod is too far removed from the real action in the HVAC business, but a ‘green-thinking’ Vice President would be nice to see too.
