what's interesting about Mike?

Mike Belshe is a software developer with Google and co-developer of a popular add-on utility for Microsoft's Outlook email client. Though Belshe had already established himself at a variety of tech startups over the past decade, it was his work on a small Outlook add-on called Lookout that brought him to the attention of Microsoft, who some say bought Lookout just to bring Belshe on board their search engine team. Such was the reputation of Lookout, a search module that offered a vast improvement over Outlook's built-in search tool as well as customization options and  a powerful filtering system that gave users the option to search by a variety of different parameters. Microsoft was so impressed that they purchased the product and brought in Belshe, whose talents were subsequently recognized by search engine giant Google, who hired him to work on their celebrated Chrome browser. And while Chrome is mostly noted for its speed, this happens to be the very area that Belshe has been assigned to, as well as its evolving plug-in system. In a nutshell, Mike Belshe's mercurial career as a developer has seen a successful arc from independent developer to working on flagship products for some of the biggest names in technology, and reflects a developer who used his ambition and creativity for the benefit of both a top software product as well as his own career .
