Boa Constructor! Ha! What a great name! I don't know who came up with it, but a simple, playful, and witty name like that says a lot about the company. My suspicion was that this business was a collection of people who love their job enough to have some fun with it...and I was right. One thing that really caught my eye, though, was the back-story of this cleverly named design-build company. The story of this company began over ten years ago. In 1996 Michele Landeggar and her partner, Dedrae Lopes bought a huge plot of land in the California Mountains with the intention of designing and building a straw-bale house. And then, what do you know, 13 years later they have formed for them a professional green building business. Though they're small, Boa Constructor prides itself on producing highly sustainable and "green” homes that compete with the big-builders that have a green building department.
