what should Anonymous do to dispel the myths that surround it?

they can start by loosing the masks.

Jen Powers comment
Jen, When the IRA made the offer to disarm and act in future in purely political and democratical manner, some of their opponents said: "When IRA really wants to disarm, then the must agree, that we make a public video of the full disarming, that shows every people in an IRA unit." IRA responded that this is humiliation. https://encrypted.google.com/search?q=IRA+humiliation+two+churchman http://republican-news.org/current/news/2004/11/paisley_wants_ira_humiliation.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/northern_ireland/4283444.stm Maybe now you can understand a little bit, why anons can loose their masks yet and now!

comment Hasan Bassrah

Sometimes little bit more thinking before posting or acting. I know, this is difficult, I don't do it myself. For some people they can do nothing, cause they have so much fear of changes

Hasan Bassrah comment

Show the blind people who you truly are. These news forecasters lie about Anon, and say things that aren't true at all whatsoever. Anonymous is the super-man behind a mask, and a name that can NEVER be taken down.

Luryan McDowell comment

im not saying that they should stop but... maybe start making it obious you're trying to good? I think the stupid people that watch and read this happen, that dont read between the lines cant see the truth in anonymous, or how they are just and right. I suggest they stop something obious, something everyone knows;ie the general public) knows is a bad orginazation. I dunno, just saying, i hate to hear about the idiots that think anonomous, because personally... everyone in anonomous... is a hero to me

Fred Buddemeyer comment
what would you like to ask Anonymous?

How can we get the big guys at the top of NWO?

Jackie McGinnis comment
Jackie, Steve Nash was the biggest of the NWO guys. Hulk Hogan was at the top of NWO though. Scott Hall was in between.

comment john zeppe

Are you proud of yourselves for bringing about a Stalinist, Hitleristic and Marxist ideology to the USA? God WILL NOT be mocked! You are the ones who need to be afraid.... VERY afraid!

Challenged Identity comment
Challenged, Why do you think it's Stalinist, Hitleristic and Marxist ideology?! It seems to me like libertarian/anarchy ideology - and its opposite. I hate Marxist ideology too but i think anons are OK.

comment Martin Doesntmatter

what are sum things that are legal that wuld be helpful to ANON?...ps. don't jerk me around or i'll put my foot in yur azz. {please}.

Michael Francis Ortiz comment

Who are those masked men and women? How will you be able to differentiate yourself from any hacker who also calls himself anonymous? It has already happened.

Andrea Mearls comment
is Anonymous trustworthy?

maybe but probably not...not becuase i think they are bad people...i think that they are young people...i just feel maybe they don't have all the intel they need to do the 'right' thing.

Michael Francis Ortiz comment
Michael, I they are bad people, what they have done to you? If you are not in government or in a company with stupid policy (like Sony) you shouldn't be afraid. They fight for us!

comment Martin Doesntmatter

Yes,and always will. What have they done us wrong? They've brought truth.

Luryan McDowell comment

trusting millions of people you dont know? yes i like it

Tyler Christopher Roberts comment

???

Jackie McGinnis comment

Probably not. People fear what they do not understand. Maybe yes if they come out from behind the curtain.

Andrea Mearls comment

Absolutely NOT! Satanic and evil people are NEVER to be trusted.

Challenged Identity comment
Challenged, thats quite a acqusation...on whut do yu base this conclusion on? whut makes yu think they are evil and even more so 'yur slander' "SATANIC?"

comment Michael Francis Ortiz

i heard that sum are and sum aren't

Michael Francis Ortiz comment
what do you think of Anonymous?

i think illegallity is like lying...hacking is illegal...so are a lot of things...its ok for a person to lie while they hold themselves accountable for their actions...with a name like ANONYMOUS...well 'God Be With Us'...no offense but i think i'll put my faith in a higher power.

Michael Francis Ortiz comment
Michael, No, hacking is not illegal. Only cracking could be illegal - sometimes. (if you crack your own property, it's OK)http://catb.org/jargon/html/H/hacker.html
comment Martin Doesntmatter
Michael, oh yeh! and also hold themselves accountable for any consequences that might come from the decisions they make

comment Michael Francis Ortiz

when we remain silent, anonymous speaks, when we are weak anonymous fights. Yet if WE are also anonymous than that same courage lies in all our hearts. SO What do i think of Anonymous? Well i think we are all pretty great :). Why? simply because we are human
Tyler Christopher Roberts comment
Tyler, So true!

comment Martin Doesntmatter

Batman in real life.

Luryan McDowell comment

They're amazing! (im not a kiss ass, im just loyal and honest) they're not frightened, they would go to depths to do what all of us would do if would could for all of us that neither have the balls or skills to do it. I have no god, but anonumous is pretty damn close to being mine

Tristian Batch comment

So far has provided needed information to expose a lot of lies.

Jackie McGinnis comment

I am fascinated so far. It looks like some are patriots, or Robin Hoods but some are loose cannons. Those patriots need to come out and run for office. Maybe Anonymous had to happen first. Stay safe.

Andrea Mearls comment

unless you acquiesce to living in a totalitarian society the actions of groups like anonymous are imperative. they are correct in that you cannot arrest an idea, nor should we seek to. the government is fallible as are the systems we have created. anonymous may not be "right" but they are "necessary" for society to continue to evolve.

Jen Powers comment
Jen, i don't know about "necessary" ... but its nice to know that yu all don't like to take it in the azz :) from tyrants.

comment Michael Francis Ortiz

Anonymous to FBI: You Can't Arrest an Idea -http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2388938,00.asp

Jen Powers comment
Jen, (and to ANY of you Libtard, misguided, Marxist wannabes) But... anyone who shares an idea MUST take responsibility for that idea! Just like the First Amendment (that is the freedom of speech for you Libs that don't know the US Constitution!) that you libtards espouse to know! Your freedom of speech (and mine as well) comes with responsibilities. There IS NO freedom of anything without responsibility. But that is exactly what's wrong, isn't it? You all have NO IDEA what taking responsibility for yourselves even means! That's why you want ALL the money and do NONE of the work to EARN it! You hypocritical idiots!!! Tell me... which of you have been hired by a POOR person? You blame the "rich", yet you take food from MY child to feed YOURS! You take money out of MY families pockets to provide health care for YOU and YOURS! YOU take, and give NOTHING back. You all are NOTHING but leeches upon the face of the Earth, and we who take responsibility for our lives have NO time for your ideology, dogmatic demagoguery, your "stuck in the 60's" attitude or NOTHING else!!! Get over yourselves and GROW UP!!!

comment Challenged Identity

Anon have proved they can invoke sufficient chaos by simply letting a few marbles get loose and allowing others to attempt to clean up messes with bigger messes. The less seriously they take themselves, the more effective they become. The more political they sway, the more they resemble their own targets in both vulnerability and intent.

Raven Wilson comment
Raven, proof of the above: http://www.geekosystem.com/syria-hacks-anon/

comment Raven Wilson
does Anonymous frighten you? why or why not?

No. But I'm kinda scared for you.

Jackie McGinnis comment
Jackie, There's no reason to be scared, they fight with people, they ARE people!

comment Martin Doesntmatter
Jackie, why?

comment Jen Powers

No, Anonymous fight with us against censorship and other bad stuff. They are allies, not enemies. I like them.

Martin Doesntmatter comment

Yes, I'am not afraid of any anon, I was scared by the reaction of people: Once I had a bad dispute with some anons, cause I was appalled by a specific for me dangerous published hack. I cursed them (anonymous) in affect in public forum. I have 2 children, but I was not afraid of any anon. The day after this, a friend of mine, a little hacker sended me fun mails into the company, also to the support mailbox, where I worked. I deleted this mail quickly, cause I was afraid that people became paranoid, cause of the dispute yesterday. I said nothing about it, my direct chief asked me, what this was and I said nothing. Later he asked me again, and I told him the story. He reported all to the CEO and the CEO thought that my little hacker friend is "THE ANONYMOUS". The CEO already wanted to call the police, that he has information about anonymous and threated me. I assured him, that this will never happen and if the police comes, I would take everything on my shoulder. The CEO believed me not really, he was very afraid of anonymous: 'They easy can hack each system and destroy in cyberspace everything, what they want.' But maybe he was afraid, that police could very angry, if they noticed, that they have caught a harmless hacker and also that the company is not so pure and shiny.

Hasan Bassrah comment

No. Not at all.

Luryan McDowell comment

No, you are all powerful, just, and right. why would I be scared? if anything... I rejoice at the thought of anonymous

Tristian Batch comment

mostly no...i think they mean well. mind yu meaning well doesn't do well...they wuld do better to think out the consequences of their actions before they actually committed them...but hey...who knows right...maybe they won't fukk everything up or make it wurse than it already is.

Michael Francis Ortiz comment

anonymous are against coorporations and governments, they do not attack individuals

Gijs Eijkelboom comment

anonymous is on to something. we're all just too scared to admit it, feeling more comfortable being manipulated by the establishment, be it twitter, BART, paypal and the like.

Jen Powers comment
what advice would you give to Anonymous regarding the iowa caucus?

show them what you can do in a good way, if possible.

Jen Powers comment
inevitably where is Anonymous going to lead us?

Towards the truth,and justice.

Luryan McDowell comment

Inevitably: the will to keep going and bring our faith around and give us the will to fight for our rights (or so I hope, I myself would love to help)

Tristian Batch comment

Another world is possible.

Jackie McGinnis comment

that is up to all of us.

Jennifer Hazard comment

Luryan McDowell comment

comment Tyler Christopher Roberts

the masks, at first got me hooked and I already looked into it... but mainly now... is the fact that nothing will stop them and they're doing it all for us. (and the lulz of course, but i do that all the time)

Tristian Batch comment

You've accomplished what I didn't think could be done

Jackie McGinnis comment

Their ability to bully the bullies. Their ability to crack the mind wide open and to be among the first to truly dare to stare into the eyes of the abyss and say, "we are not afraid".

Glenn David Barres comment

The fact they can actually bite back.

Cameron Dresden comment

their amusing combination of childish pettiness and maddening efficacy.

have what are now mainstream protests across the u.s. legitimized the perception of Anonymous?

Legitimized, I don't know. Raised awareness, for sure.

Jackie McGinnis comment
will Anonymous' efforts to bring down the drug cartels legitimize them in the public mind?

The more the people are assisted in being free from all cartels the more people will side with Anonymous.

Jackie McGinnis comment

guud luk...don't get killed..don't get me killed either!

Michael Francis Ortiz comment

Because the public mind itself has no legitimacy beyond doing what they're told/conditioned/threatened to do, it will distrust the angry-little-man, reactive mentality of anonymous for the same reasons that it distrusts each other, while continuing to secretly empathize with them and envy the attention that it gets.

Raven Wilson comment

legitimacy does not seem to be a priority for them.

Jen Powers comment
why has the media purposively excluded Anonymous from their coverage of protests across the nation?

Because they don't want to admit they have met their match.

Jackie McGinnis comment

Yes, Why? Why is Breaking News now about athletes?

Andrea Mearls comment

that's none of yur business...know of the wurld...know anything and everything in it...when yu understand the nature of a thing...yu will know whut it is capable of (marvel's BLADE)

Michael Francis Ortiz comment

perhaps they feel anon needs to be packaged and presented as something slightly more nefarious than herds of passive-aggressive protesters.

Raven Wilson comment

coverage of crowd mismanagement and celebrity appearances sells more copy.

Jen Powers comment
what is it about Anonymous that is so polarizing?

Secrecy is unsettling and feels wrong but it's come to fighting fire with fire.

Jackie McGinnis comment

I am so curious!

Andrea Mearls comment

it arouses the sheep or the wolf within us.

Jen Powers comment
where is Anonymous going to lead us?

Anonymous is doing good shining light on the lies. This info will reach tipping point so there is nowhere for deception to hide anymore.

Jackie McGinnis comment

they will be left behind but not forgotten...i really don't think they know how to change a wurld...they had better either EVOLVE or DIE!

Michael Francis Ortiz comment
what should Anonymous do next?

I'm most concerned about SOPA and NDAA.

Jackie McGinnis comment

isnt that obvious?
wall streets veins

Fred Buddemeyer comment

Michael Francis Ortiz comment

IDIOTS! Anarchists! EVIL!!!

Challenged Identity comment
have what are now mainstream protests across the u.s. legitimized the perception of Anonymous?

there will always be haters, but the evolution of the social movement certainly brings the issues, rather than the group into the spotlight.

Jen Powers comment
what do you think of Gawker publishing the photos of the Anonymous members arrested in the paypal attacks?

i expect nothing less than yellow journalism from gawker.
