Little Joey is son of Melvin Laub, and together they make up the firm Laub & Laub. (Joe Laub is mainly one of those Injury Lawyers that make loud commercials in suit and tie; the ones that make me wish I was hurt so I could get in on some cash! I know my rights!) Because of his health, Melvin handed over operations to his son. In turn, Joe is responsible for both Laubs on the signpost outside and that must surely be daunting.That being said, it may be that Laub Senior felt even more of a sting as both father AND partner of a lawyer cited for professional misconduct in 2002. Joey faced a six month suspension for charges including misleading costs and disbursements, failure to attempt to reduce medical bills, using a nonlawyer in an initial consultation and violating the attorney-client privilege by giving a certain sneaky medical affiliate, Charles Perez, access to his clients' records.The charges stem from only two distinct cases, and Laub has no priors or post disciplinary actions against him. Perhaps t'was just a big stumble. However the panel described a 'lack of candor' in his testimony, and I'd hope my lawyer should at least be a good liar. In the courtroom anyway
