1oz of trim for $55 is an absolute bargain! Quality is decent, with only a few tiny stick bits ... no more than you'd expect with trim, really ... and it smells like my beloved amnesia haze, too! Came well-packaged and sooner than I could have hoped! 10/10 for the whole experience start to finish. Wouldn't hesitate to order from here again! 😁

I was so pleased with the quality and effect of this trim in my recipe, that I thought I would share it.

You will need:

A kilner or mason jar
A slow cooker
A flannel or small tea towel
A baking tray or tin (or container 10cm x 5cm) to decarb your trim
Greaseproof paper
Tinfoil
Cheese cloth (for straining)



14g of GC's trim.
165g Porridge oats
130g Coconut oil
120g Honey
50g Ground Almonds
50g Peanuts (soaked in water for at least 2 hours)
75g of your sweet choice (I use dark and white chocolate chips, but can be dried fruit).

Stage 1 : Prepare the oil.

1. Stick your kilner jar on the scales, tare, and weigh your coconut oil, being careful not to get any on the edges of the jar, as this will break the seal.

2. Seal up your jar, place on a flannel or tea towel inside a water-filled slow cooker. Don't let the water level rise above the jar opening.

3. Turn on your slow cooker to high, ensure the jar is secure and place the lid on. We are going to melt the oil while we decarb our trim.

Stage 2 : Decarb your trim.

1. Preheat oven to 110 degrees C
2. Line your tray or container with greaseproof paper. Evenly distribute your trim in / on the container and double wrap with tinfoil.
3. When the oven is heated, place container in the middle and leave for 25 minutes.
4. Remove from oven and allow to cool.

Stage 3 : Infusion

1. Use rubber gloves or a teatowel to remove your jar from the slow cooker (it'll be hot). Place on your work surface on top of a folded tea towel so the coldness of the surface and the hot jar don't combine to crack the jar. Bop your decarbed trim inside, stir, and replace in the slow cooker.
2. Leave to simmer for 4-5 hours, stirring hourly.

Stage 4: The Protein Bars

1. When the oil is infused, strain into a large mixing bowel using the cheese cloth.
2. Preheat oven to 170 degrees C
3. Add honey into the warm oil mixture and stir.
4. Place some hot water into a bowl, place mixing bowl on top, and continue to stir. We want to merge the oil and honey as best we can.
5. Add oats and stir to even coat them with the mixture, and allow them to absorb it.
6. Add almonds and nuts to the mixture, stir until well mixed, then add your sweet option.
7. Line a baking tin with greaseproof paper and transfer the mixture into it. Mould it into shape ensuring the mixture is well packed and evenly spread.
8. Cook for 18-20 minutes (or until light brown on top and edges).
9. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
10. When cooled, cut into 32 pieces. 1 Piece is tidy, 2 is a nice stone. Depending on strain, effects can vary!
