PGP stands for Pretty Good Privacy and is better to use it because is an asymmetrical cipher algorithm.

Only the vendor has the key to decrypt what you encrypted with his *PUBLIC key, so if some bad people (government) will snitch on LB, their only way to decrypt your address (if you used PGP) is to know the *PRIVATE key of the vendor.


Public key = can be safely shared and it's used only to encrypt
Private key = MUST be kept secret and it's used only to decrypt
