Bitpanda problem
Does anybody know why bitpanda is saying i do not have enough funds when i clearly do? Im new to lb so any bit of advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Toni, not sure when your post is from but I am having exactly the same problem with Bitpanda. I click button to send BTC, input the recipient address, at that point a message displays saying 'wallet balance is too low',. The alert is not correct as I know I have enough BTC in my wallet for the transaction.
I am really frustrated as this is before the stage where I input the amount to send so how can Bitpanda know whether I have enough funds?.
I have contacted support at Bitpanda support but it's annoying as I am keen to place my order.
Actually before completing this post I read some of the replies below to Toni's post and I feel a bit reassured. I'l have to wait for Bitpanda support to reply or for fess to reduce. Was a bit alarmed at first thinking that I would have to top up my wallet with another £25 to cover fees then realised that as I didn't enter the amount to send there is no way that the issue is related to my BTC balance. thanks to the responders, fingers crossed things improve very soon. cheers

Have a look how much Bitpanda is charging to send bitcoin.....last time I wanted to send btc they wanted £17....I waited till the next day it came down to £6, still not great. The traffic is high at the moment with bitcoin making the headlines, hope this helps.

It is very helpful milfhunter thankyou. Is there any way of understanding when rates will be high and when they will be low?., or is it just chance based on how many transactiona are happening? And is there any way of calculating the fee beforehand. I made a 35$ purchaser the other day and the fees were 20$.......

sunday 18 april - its about EUR 37 at the moment to send via bit panda. Usually drops to single figures later on sunday evenings. Fingers crossed as i don't fancy paying those fees!

No worries Toni, It`s all based on traffic/transactions, so it`s changing on a regular basis, i could not find a way of finding out charges before hand either, only afterwards, i had to make a large transaction and stock up for the month, otherwise would of cost a fortune to order multiple items. i think the site needs to look at alternate crypto payments....It`s getting silly now.

A large transactions sounds like the way to go alright, I only ordered a small amount as it’s my first time and although everyone here is very honest and helpful, buying buds on the surface web is one of those things you have to see to believe. Is the fee a percentage of your transaction? if I made a 200$ transaction would the fee be 20£ or much more than? Cheers for the help mate.

The fee is not linked to the transaction amount.
You could be spening $40 and have a $20 fee or $4000 and fee would still be $20.

primarily dependant on the time of the day you go to make the purchase

It will advise of the fee amount before you confirm the transaction every time so you can go to send and see each time, alternatively, you can check this webpage that lists the transaction fee in BTC, under Wallet Withdrawal Fee column.

https://www.bitpanda.com/en/limits#transactioncosts

Other reason could be your funds have not confirmed yet

Welcome bigga! The quality of product on here is pretty immense in comparison to street imho and the review system is really useful to if you're not sure what to go for.

Thank you

Only thing that has put me off is the charges
transferring bitcoin, a simple draw could cost £60

Is their any seller here who accepts other
payments other then Bitcoin?

To a newbie with not much interaction with PC's,
It's utterly baffling

Far simpler if I could just buy BTC and transfer
it straight away without it going into a wallet.

Any suggestions for how to do this in pigeon steps?

Cheers

Don't blame you, the average fee for transferring have gone up now since there is more traffic and interest in bitcoin has risen, your best bet is to see what exchange has generally the lowest fees and then see what sort of time of day it drops somewhat when less traffic online.

I'm almost certain all sellers on here will be BTC only as it's processed with transaxe as the payment processor / escrow system.

Theres quite a few topics in and around here:

Or here:

Have a good read through for other peoples experiences and advice, some say it's better to do bigger purchases now to avoid paying more in fees for each smaller quantity purchase.

I noticed that it would be handy if they just told you the fee beforehand instead of leaving you to guess. I ended up using exodus in the end, think i paid the same if noy more in fees.. Thankyou queenL thats a very useful link!

I left bitpanda and did my 1st order with exodus, it has a friendly user interface and we can choose the transaction fee which is great! Bought the btc from bittylicious, its nice but it took 24h to be available to spend, but thats ok i guess...

Exodus is a very user friendly app and I too enjoy it for that reason, but beware of its transaction fees also. I made a purchase just today, I sent 120€ to the seller and he only received 88 euro. That’s 32€! On transaction fees. Ridiculous. The sneaky transaction fees are making LB a Not financially sound website.
