I just had a close call last night, I was super focused on changing the song on my phone cause I fucking hate what it was playing and really pissed that Spotify was playing the shit again after I had already skipped it several times in the past, really it was an insult to begin with suggesting I would like Katie Perry - because who knows why? Maybe she had a track with somebody else that I liked but I can't figure out who AND WHOAH I am driving through a red light and SHIT there is an suv headed towards me and already slamming on the breaks. So then the good magic powers side of the weed kick in and I do this swerve to the left while I jam the accelerator I don't even know where the hell I got the idea still I gave up on the Fast and Furious like 5 movies ago but goddam it worked. Has this happened to anyone else?
This is a good thing and another example of why Lb is the safest place for customers. I came here from a dnm and my seller insisted that I finalize early so he could get the coin, he even insisted on positive reviews or he would blacklist people. Of course he wound up fucking me and a bunch of other people in the end and there wasn't anything we could do.
I like the LB concept, the rating system however is painfully slow, as a result LB get's boring as topics stay the same till the point that you have read whatever or posted whatever without being able to access other content. Without any further incentive this makes new users leave LB.
Neither. Let's say that the possibilities to explore LB are very limited with the initial set of rights. To have better ratings I could drop a shitload of articles, the kind of articles that anyone likes per human psyche. For example cats :) or puppies. Great for me but bad for LB, that would become a lame image board.
I think it would be beneficial if:
To have a 'topic and response' rating and a vendor rating. To require a certain treshold, prior to having the option of becoming a vendor to weed out scammers and such.
Rating topics and responses is a difficult exercise as many downrate content they object (but is however useful content).
I just throw shit out there. I've never been concerned with the ratings or pissing people off. I've voted a lot when l find something that catches my attention. I've never voted down once, even when l come across something that pisses me off. I only buy from one source, so l'm never concerned with having to file a dispute. I do understand what you're talking about. I still believe in the first amendment. Last year l watched it being torn apart, especially on college campuses where they no longer believe in letting someone speak if you don't agree with what they have to say. This is very much the same thing. Say what you need to say to get what you want. Sucks, but it is what it is.
I don't really have much concerns either when it comes to content, only where I put it and how it is accessed. So I'll see what has precedence: rating or account age. To some extent I agree that people who instigate hatred, violence and racism are pushed back, the alt-right movement in the US became the victim of extremist right. They kept on pushing the limits to see how far they could go and the alt-right should have avoided to side with them.
The same applies for Antifa and extremist left. Whatever protest where you see them, you will find a couple of idiots waving a communist flag.
Bring them together and its tribal war. If Hitler, Mao, Mussolini or Stalin would see them, they'd command to execute them all.
There's space enough on the internet and if not there is always some dark net, to make whatever online mental institution/website to meet and share.
But to have all of that shit plastered all over the place ... nah.
Be careful about content and curiosity. I heard about three young men who decided to throw away their humanity, if they even had any to begin with, and go out and murder 21 innocent people in 20 days. They fucking did it to entertain themselves. It gets A LOT worse. They used their cell phones to record some of murders. God, l wish l would have listened to that little voice in my head, telling me "Do not go and look for this. It will damage you if you do." It's hard to do when you're told exactly how to find them. Fuck Fuck Fuck!!!!!!!! I didn't listen. It could be the worse thing l will ever experience in my life. It is definitely one of the biggest mistakes l've ever made. I can only say l have listened to that voice since then but it was too late to reverse the damage. Now, I only use the internet to buy shit and l only converse with people on this website. I can't be found on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. I have no use for any of them. In case you think l'm being overly melodramatic, go ahead and see for yourselves. I won't tell you where, but it's easy to find. Don't go looking for trouble. There's plenty to be found on the internet.
l don't get it. Everybody knows communism doesn't work. You still end up with a few people at the top deciding what's best for everyone else without any Input from said people. The only reason China is doing so well is because they kept a free market economy. If people think it's so great, go spend some time in North Korea. They better bring their own food.
There needs to be rankings, not just ratings. Most of the sellers have scores near 9/10 but some seem to have a lot more sales than others so the rating is more meaningful, same thing if the reviews are newer.
if you get what you ordered why would you not rate it a 10? As far as strains go, it is easy to find online reviews of each one. But you want people to start rating on personal preference, what got them the best buzz, then it will get f'ed up. We don't need those ratings; we need to know if the seller delivers what he postsPERIOD
I'm getting used to it after a while, it seems that whatever powers that exist are distributed and they not abused from what I can tell so far. It also seems that the ones I thought about like mod or admin functionality have increasingly been put in my own hands. Why they aren't laid out I can't completely figure out but it is clear there isn't much that can be gamed in the hands of people with little rep.
