We've always used Bittylicious- not had any major issues aside from a few long waits etc. Think its one of the best value too.

Ive made a couple off orders on here using coin base but the fees are extreme anyone suggest better sites to use with lower fees?? that are also beginner friendly

Today i bought with coinbase pro which cost 0.15p then transferred to my coinbase wallet for 1.15 then transferred to vendor for 4.30 so a little over a fiver from start to finish so buying from an exchange can save on fees.

congratulations you have found something that does not suck at coinbase. the fees go to the computer network that runs the bitcoin blockchain, they are called miners.
when btc exchange rates goes off or when their are network issues the fees go up like a sold out event.

Blockchain.com

Does blockchain still put a week long hold on btc bought from them? Stopped using it in August because of this.

Yes it is. Took 3 days to touch the BTC I bought, but I’ve ordered twice successfully using blockchain.com

Hello everyone
My account on coin base is: Restricted. You are currently unable to buy and sell crypto on Coinbase. Does anyone else have this?

Yep real pain at the moment. Put my id upload as requested and continually comes back as can’t verify, even though it’s really clear in what I’m uploading. Contacted them twice now and still no response.

No photo ID. Please help!
Hi guys. I had been happily using Bittylicious last year but now I can't buy any BC without photo ID. Can anyone recommend other methods for someone who can't provide verification. I have looked at many of the methods, including localbitcoins. I'm starting to think that I will be unable to make future purchases here :(. Thanks.

You could try a bitcoin ATM if there's one close to you. Usually fees aren't high depending where you are and which ATM it is.

Thanks for the suggestion but according to https://coinatmradar.com/bitcoin-atm-near-me/ there aren't any remotely near me lol. However, to add to earlier suggestions, I went ahead and tried getting a PASS card as I know Bittylicious accepts these and maybe other exchanges too. I paid £15 to get a Citizen Card https://www.citizencard.com/ but I have hit a stumbling block in the process (can't think of a suitable referee). Anyway, I will give localbitcoins another bash. Love LB.... hate BC!

No worries I found some extreme difficulty in first buying bitcoin myself. Just easy for certain people I suppose

What about buying a provisional license. Think it's like £20. Save so much hassle.

I might look into that. Thanks! Edit: It's a good plan but I may not be able to on medical grounds. It's £34 for anyone interested.

Advice on bitcoin wallets
Hi there, I hope everyone is having a great day. I'm totally new to bitcoin and am wondering does it matter which bit coin wallet I use? Will the vendors on LB accept any of them? Sorry if that's dumb question. There are so many to choose from I don't want to pick the wrong one!

Electrum works for our week to week to cash flow. Its a software wallet so not as good as hardware but still far more secure than an exchange wallet.
I recommend you only keep your btc in an exchange for the shortest amount of time possible. Then keep a software wallet for spending and a hardware wallet for savings/ large amounts.
Hope this helps and this is just how we do it, I'm sure lots of people have different methods too.
Best of luck

any bitcoin wallet will work just make sure you are using btc not bch (bitcoin cash).

Awesome thanks man. Just one other thing, I was reading some people buy bitcoin and send it direct to the vendor without first putting it into a wallet. Is that a good idea? If I buy it then send it to a wallet, then make a purchase am I then paying more in transaction fees? Sorry if I'm making this sound more difficult than it is!

Absolutely Never use exchange wallets for transactions! They are not ‘real’ wallets that you own, they are ‘hot wallets’ belonging to the exchange. Generally you should always store your own crypto. Mobile and desktop wallets are perfectly fine for smaller amounts provided your device is reasonably secure. But It’s definitely worth reading up on the practicalities of bitcoin so you can transact with confidence (:

Can I ask if this has been done a few times what happens as exchange just asked to disable vpn or proxy on future purchases and said sorry can't do that. As off where I am employed use proxys? Can't disabled at all unfortunately

Yes its an extra step of security theater, doesn't do much for entropy and adds fees.

RE: is there a cheaper way?
Hi guys,
So I’m new to LB and bitcoin so sorry if I sound like an idiot.. Made a purchase for $69 (roughly £57). I completed the whole transaction through CoinCorner meaning I deposited £ money into it, bought the bitcoin and then transferred it to the vendor all through the one app. My issue is that with all the fees I ended up paying about £72 (about £15 In fees it seems). Is there something I’m doing wrong and is there a cheaper method? I’d appreciate any advice. Many thanks

Coinbase or blockchain man , localbitcoins.com

Thanks for getting back to me mate. Isn’t there an issue with coinbase and transferring directly to vendors? Should/Do you need to transfer to your own wallet first? If so, is there a wallet you recommend? Many thanks

Thanks for the reply but I think there is an issue with coinbase banning people for doing transactions directly from them. I’ve seen this mentioned a few times in the threads below.

My Coinbase account has just been restricted

I've used coinbase for ages never had any problems.

First time receiving g a refund s
Sup guys. So after nearly 30 orders I have my first no show and the seller has agreed to refund half, which is fair enough I guess. He says he's contacted transsaxe and suggests I do the same. Where the hell can I contact them from? There's an escrow suisse link in my order page which takes me to the escrow page where it says contact them privately for refunds etc. Seems the right place but they are not transaxe so a bit puzzled. The seller reccomends I contac transaxe to keep things consistent. Any help much appreciated!! Thanks.

Sup biggaz. Wonder if anyone can help. Received my refund in coinbase as mentioned above and want to put in an order using that balance. However, the balance doesn't cover the order wanna make. Am I able to place an order, partially pay with the counbase balance, then pay the remainder via say bittylicious? Coinbase is shite but I ofc wanna use the unspent balance in there. Cheers.

That’s what your looking for. Send them a chat message (including your order reference)

Also, I'm buying for the first time of a seller and they've asked me to send them the funds directly because of high fees for him.. I've read that you shouldn't but I'm not sure why?

Is it better to use a bank trnsfer or a card?

(There's no fee for bank trnsfer but a 2.5% fee for the other)

best place to buy bitcoins? I'm in the UK
hi jbrootan..how you doing today mate...!!!just a quick heads up on bitcoin..I use Bittylicious virtually all the time mate..have you seen the price of them atm. £12,643.40/BTC..highest ive known them.in the 9 months ive been on here Crazy prices jbrootan .you agree???...!!!

That's great thanks. I'm struggling to open a bitcoin account coz I've only got mobile and I've got no idea how to verify I'd, so really gutted at the moment. I want to order something!!

Give BitPanda a go if you’re in Europe (they’re expanding global too). BittyLicious is good for U.K. I hear but prices slightly higher. LocalBitCoin too.

A lot of ATMs in the UK use coinatmradar.com to find the closest. Online I would say coinhouse.io or bitpanda.com they both accept cards and bank transfers.

Hi, I’m new and haven’t a clue about Bitcoin. I’ve just created a account on localbitcoin but it will only let me buy 1 but coin which is like £6000. How do I buy a smaller amount?? And do I need a wallet to keep it in?? No worries I’ve sorted it, won’t be long before I’m endulging myself ?

I use Cryptopay.com very easy and straight forward with Visa card if you want with chip and pin and contactless. Although there are fees but I don't know how they compare with others. I also have a coinbase account.

dont forget to send the BTC to your desktop wallet first before spending on littlebiggy. never send direct from an exchange.

Probably better-using Coinbase https://www.coinbase.com

You should have an option to choose the currency amount like £50, or have the choice to buy part of a coin I.e. 0.001 bitcoin.
I use coinbase but also have a BRD account.
I use coinbase but also have a BRD account.

I am also using Coinbase but feel the fees are still too high if anyone knows of a cheaper option in the UK i think everyone would like to know. ?

crypto.com when you sign up to their card you the charge 0 fees

Wish I could - still half way though filling registration in and stuck on question... Source of funds, but only gives me the options "employment" (in which case, it asks for employment info), "investment," "inheritance," and "mining."
Even asking what my job is, giving a long list to pick from with no other option available.
Even asking what my job is, giving a long list to pick from with no other option available.

Blockchain has already come through so I’ve placed my order. Excited now!!! Thanks for all the help!!!

Any time dog :)

I’ve bought two lots now, £50 from block chain an app on my phone and £50 from another site on my pc (someone suggested the site on here earlier) Both have said I’ve gota wait 48 hours for my payment to be verified?? They haven’t taken any money yet but I’ll give it a couple of days and see what happens.

LBC is a lousy place for a noob especially with a small transaction mate. Coinbase is easy to get started then move on to something better.

There are many traders on lbc, with much lower minimums than that. It's possible to buy just a few quids worth. PM me and I can take you though it step by step if needed.

insufficient funds message
insufficient funds message
Using Blockchain.com
I'm trying to send funds from my "BTC Trading Wallet" (which has funds) to "My Bitcoin Wallet" (which is empty), so that I can pay seller.
I am continually getting an "Insufficient funds" message no matter the amount I put in - what am I doing wrong?
This is what I'm doing:
From the Blockchain dashboard.
Go to "Send"
Select from "BTC Trading Wallet" in the drop-down. (This has funds in it)
Go to "To"
Select "My Bitcoin Wallet" in the drop-down. (This is empty)
Enter an amount in the "Amount" box.
Immediately flagged with "insufficient funds"
It doesn't matter what amount I enter.
Any help appreciated, can't find eff all on line.

Yeah you need it in your Bitcoin Wallet not your Trading Wallet. I found it confusing at first and underpaid because I didn’t know about the mining fee. For what its worth I find C.Pay to be the easiest app to use having tried a few.

Hi mate. If you used blockchain's own crypto service to buy Bitcoin, it's an absolute ball ache. Even though everything appears to go through ok they still hold the funds for about 7 days before you can actually transfer them out of your "Trading Wallet" and into your normal wallet. It's a massive pile of wank. Next time just use a third party service live Bittylicious or something like that instead of Blockchain's own crypto market :-/

Well today I got an e-mail saying funds were now accessible (a week after putting them in). I was able to transfer from one wallet to another, but now the whole lot has disappeared from either wallet. Hopefully it's just a time thing and they'll show up eventually. 24 hours later - funds appear and I can spend. There must be a better way.

High charging fee for sending.... Try at a quiter time , cheaper fees , could have enough then

Quiter time = 12 - 1 am in the morning uk time for me ..

Coinbase won’t clear my payment for 3 days although I’ve verified myself twice now, I’ve made 3 orders from here without any problems but now for some reason Coinbase won’t send my payment through straight away like it usually does? I’ve had to cancel two orders and apologise for being a nuisance to the vendor because I felt like I was messing them around ordering and cancelling my orders..
Am I missing something or doing something wrong??
Am I missing something or doing something wrong??

I’m having the same problem, I can handle the delay but my order here’s expired so I’m stuck. Really angry with Coinbase for doing this!

There is no good reason to keep using coinbase there are so many alternatives that are respectful of customers and their privacy.

I’ve managed to set up a blockchain account and move my funds from Coinbase to blockchain, I don’t really like Coinbase after all this.. it’s made me feel like a bit of an idiot tbh

Glad you got it moved man

thank you so much, just made a purchase using blockchain, wasn't my original purchase because of all the fees that were taken up but nonetheless i've made a purchase, so thanks for the help!

Niceone man good job , Sorry to hear you couldn’t get what you originally wanted, but if you do order again your set up now on blockchain,

i can not express how thankful i am for your help, i honestly thought my funds were stuck in coinbase -.- thank you so so much!

:) it’s all good man

Do not send directly from the brokerage service(Coinbase) to a LB or other illegal shopping ! These brokerages exist with the knowledge that crypto isn't being used for anything illegal. Transfer to your own wallet, then move your coin to the market. It's always adds an extra layer of security. Blockchain is good.

Ok thank you for the info, I’ve opened a blockchain account and it seems simple to use, will try and get my head around how it works, thank you again.
Also can I send my ‘trapped’ funds from Coinbase to blockchain?
Also can I send my ‘trapped’ funds from Coinbase to blockchain?

Its simple. Buy crypto from Coinbase or likewise agency(Binance,Coinmama) and transfer funds to blockchain. Blockchain is your online wallet where you store crypto and then pay for your purchase.

Oohhhh, I understand now, thanks! I’ve managed to verify myself with blockchain and move my funds from Coinbase to blockchain so hopefully I’ll be able to make a purchase some time soon, thanks for the info and help

Could send it to another wallet and try from that , don’t no if your doing it on your phone or computer or true the app or site ? Try the site rather than the app , I’d that don’t work send it to another wallet and send it from that one

I’m using the website on a computer to purchase bitcoin and items from this website, the only reason I used Coinbase is because I’m a bit new to bitcoin and purchasing items off a site like this and it seemed really easy to use..
What other bitcoin websites are easy to use? Or are as easy to use as Coinbase?
What other bitcoin websites are easy to use? Or are as easy to use as Coinbase?

I understand, I use Coinbase to and if there’s problems I use blockchain ,

Ok, I’ll look into that, thank you so much

No worries man hope you get it sorted :)

Thank you, I’ve opened a blockchain account and it seems simple to use, just wondering if I can send my ‘trapped’ funds from Coinbase to blockchain?

Hi! I’ve been using Coinbase with a Blockchain wallet and have more recently been using the Blockchain trading platform too. Both are great!! However I would like a way to buy bitcoin that doesn’t show up as such in my bank statements. Buying with Blockchain is better than Coinbase in this respect because it shows up as transferring money to yourself on any records, however it takes so much longer to transfer to the wallet than Coinbase. I’ve been looking for somewhere to buy bitcoin with PayPal (can pre pod my PayPal account and pay through that) but have only found E-Toro (had a bad experience and not a fan) and Paxful - unfortunately you have to buy from other users, meaning you lose a (quite large) proportion of what you buy.
Does anyone know of any other PayPal-accepting bit coin vendors/anywhere I can buy bitcoin that doesn’t show up as such on bank records?
Any help greatly appreciated :)!!

One of the easiest and most private ways to buy bitcoins is at an ATM. This will help you find one of the increasing number of bitcoin ATMs worldwide.

Btc atm review
I had to use a Bitcoin atm awhile ago so thought I'd share my experience with you all.
Coinbase was messing about an couldn't use my card, I tried my partners card an my mum's with no luck. I couldn't be dealing with signing up to other sites so looked into an atm and how far I would have to go to use one. After finding one which was 20mins away by train I thought fuck it I'll try it as I really needed to get some nice weed n hash as not going on the street to score anymore. I was up all night thinking about my journey, going throu everything that could possibly go wrong an how I would work around any mistake I made. So the big day is here an I'm on the train feeling nervous like that feeling the first time your waiting for your smoke from the site so I keep going to the toilet to vape but that made me very paranoid which was my only mistake of the day. Now I'm off the train I get my phone out for the map and start walking into the unknown. After about 10mins of walking I find the shop which to my surprise is a small shop selling middle eastern food so I go back online an make sure it's the right place. After seeing it was the right place I go in an ask "is your satoshipoint working" and he said "yes but it won't be switched on untill 9:30" so I went to McDonald's and waited bout 40mins. When I got back to the shop it was up and running so nothing was going to stop me this time :).
First off I set up my btc wallet to receive then on the machine I choose English as my language then less than £500. Now I start putting the cash in the machine an after I put £150 in there I choose btc then it asks for an address so I held my phone up to the scanner and done so simple and no I'D need. After walking out the shop I had a massive grin on my face, the kind you have after your first ever BJ.
The exchange rate was right just had to pay 7.5% which is bout 4% more than coinbase but worth it for not showing ID ect. I didn't really mind the extra 4% or the train fair as I sold abit of smoke so that funded my trip an a McDonald's :).
So all in all it was fun and a good experience, I can now say iv used a btc atm iv used the future of money.

Hi. Can you talk me through purchasing bitcoins at my local ATM, as i am unsure of the processes? Thank you.

sure
Step 1 - Prepare an address to send the coins to. If you are buying something on littlebiggy with all of the coins you can click the pay button here to get this address. If not you will need a bitcoin wallet and address to store the coins. See separate posts about this or just ask me if you need help.
Step 2 Go to the ATM, note the store hours and bring ID (don't worry too much about this, if you are super concerned see the info about coinmixing)
Step 3 Pay cash into the machine and enter the address you want to send the coins to. Done.

Is Coinmama broken?
I've been using coinmama since I joined biggy. The first time I used them to buy BTC, I had to call my bank and tell them the transaction was not fraudulent. Ever since then when I'd buy BTC on coinmama, I'd get a text from my bank asking me to verify the transaction. I'd reply that the transaction was legit and then it would go through. I've been trying to buy BTC on coinmama today for the past 12 hours, but it's not working. I don't get a text sent to my phone asking me to verify. Coinmama just gives me an error message telling me to contact my bank. I just called my bank and explained the situation. My bank says they aren't blocking the transaction and that they have no idea why it isn't going through. Suggested that coinmama might not be working right now. So I guess I'm stuck for the moment. Is this happening to anyone else?

time to throw momma from the train, if you have experience with bitcoin there is 0 reason to use them. without knowing your situation i would say kraken, they are just as intl, with much better rates and better customer service.

Blockchain App for me. From memory i had to do a £90 minimum 1st purchase, but after that I've been able to do any amount by Card, with the funds cleared to use within 30 minutes.

I’ve heard a few stories like this so don’t use them to store anymore! Still OK to buy from, BitPanda is really good and simple like Coinbase. LocalBitcoins is good but the rates are super terrible on it in some countries. Sounds racist but I think they call it Kimchi tax ha! Bittylicious is another buying platform I have heard of.

yeah that kimchi tax stinks (jeez i cant help myself). paxful is a good substitute for lbc, especially as they have become so compliant to the banking cabal.

There really isnt any good reason to use coinbase anymore, Besides being antiethical to little biggy and freedom in general they are also shitty with customers. They dont even take credit cards anymore. There are dozens of better substitutes these days.

Please name 1 or more that services the US?

square cash app is best in us for non credit card, with cards cex.io is pretty good, kraken as well.

what I do with coinbase is I use them just for purchasing. Then I move the coin to a wallet on a different site and I use that site to buy from. That way coinbase's 3 day delay (or any other rule) can't hurt me and my "spending" is simply a transfer to a different wallet.

You defined half of the problem. Been using them for 6 years, and at least 2 transactions every year have been "delayed", and NONE of those were justified or necessary. The last one, 2 weeks ago, bought BTC from them, went to send it to my wallet, and got a 72 hour "clearing" warning. Why? To "protect" me. Their answer was "it's a new address...". Why the f**k should they care what BTC address I send to??? So yeah, 3 days is great, but not when you want it TODAY and you paid for it TODAY.

They booted me this month. Denied advancement to next level due to my coin going to places they don’t approve

There are legitimate sellers on Paxful doing this now https://paxful.com/buy-bitcoin/paypal Do make sure you check the reviews.
You need to have a verified paypal account and expect thorough ID checks.

cryptonit.net is the best of the worst here, I recommend cash, card, or bank unless you are hell bent.

No passport or driving license. Still possible to buy bitcoins? Help!
Hi
I have never used tyhis site before and know nothing about bitcoins. i've joined three UK/EU recommended bitcoin sites and none of them will let me buy bitcoins without verifying with my passport or passport number. I don't have a passport so I can't do this.
Does anyone know any ways around this or if there's any other way I can pay for things on here without having a verified account on a bitcoin site?

Bought coins from Coinbase. Placed order here, copied address to sent my BTCs and Coinbase is still pending after 1 hour! Purchase expired and now I can't buy anything since my BTCs are blocked! Now?

This can happen a lot on coinbase. Good platform to buy but maybe send and store you coins somewhere else, ready for that last minute order haha! I use a website to store my coins that pays me 4.08% interest annually and I get free satoshis every hour. I hold here as it’s cheaper to send too, can be slow but have different options. Message if you want a referral link, you only need an email address. I’ve been using it for about 3 years now with no problem.

Coinbase has imposed a 3 day delay on me (so no LB purchases). The company I used to use won't let me buy any BTC but I can send from there so I send the BTC from COINBASE to myself at the other site. 3 days passes and then I place my order on LB. easy as 1-2-3

Depends on the status of your bitcoin transaction. Highly likely Coinbase will show confirmation of the transaction in which case it's not going to be a problem even if its expired on lb, contact the seller as soon as you have a blockchain confrimation url. If it can't be confirmed coinbase will return coins to you so either case it's not to worry.

Got confo from Coinbase, just contacted Mr Coffee. Hope this goes well, as it is 1st time through btc

If you have a confirmation url it's impossible to go wrong. It's like the system works on the same info you have, that's the beauty of btc versus the banking system.

Well it's been 4 days now and I am still waiting confirmation by seller. These bitcoins are really convenient e? NOT!!

If you did the transaction directly from coinbase then they are banning you. You should have transferred your coin to a wallet first and then do the transaction from there. Coinbase is for buying and selling of bitcoin itself, it is not a platform for buying and selling goods with bitcoin, especially the kind of goods sold here. That is how I got banned. Now I use Gemini to buy bitcoin and Blockchain as my wallet.

You should understand this guy is here to help people buy bitcoins not help you with public threads about your order.

True this and if he is going to bitch he should follow up and let us know how it resolved.

It's ok, I try to help people any way I can. I'm not privy to orders though and can't really say much that helps. My experience is that everyone is sorted around here. One thing though - I'm not a guy ;)

Hi for PTSD I am desperately trying to buy some cannabis. Only thing is I've been trying to buy Bitcoin since Sunday. I've been reading all the excellent info on here. I've only got a debit card and no photo ID. So have had no luck. Is there anyway I can or should I just give up ? Oh yeah have PayPal acc as well. Thanks nice to meet you all you have all created an amazing place here

That’s a very difficult one as many/most bitcoin wallets need to go through their security measures meaning that you will need to have an ID present e.g. passport to verify that it’s you. Like bit easy really stated localbitcoins is the best site for that or at least it is for me. You can use your debit card on there or Paypal. The fees vary as well but are usually quite solid.

This is a tough ticket since you are paying the trader via funds that can be reversed - credit cards, paypal, even bank transfers. Unless you have a reputation with the trader that's too risky. They will either charge a lot to cover the risk or they themselves are looking to rip you off.
A cash transaction with localbitcoins.com is the most consistent way to do this. There are a few bitcoin atms that do this too, try bitcoinatmradar.

Feel free to do what the button says and Ask Me Anything. If you're looking for a tutor to help you get through any of this I recommend the bit cromwell bitcoin starter kit.

Hi I accidentally sent BCH rather Thant BTC is it possible to get funds back ? Or what are my options? Thanks

That's a tough one. Bch is a different coin with different wallet holders for any given address. You must contact the owner of the address and that's a pretty anonymous thing.
If there is a place to seek an answer it's from the bch community. They have a subreddit and they are also responsible for the bitcoin.com site.
Sorry this happened to you. If bch doesn't fix this problem they will devolve into a scam coin.

I see they take cards, paypal and are fast. The scheme seems a little strange though so I though I'd ask you all.

Yes it's a daft scheme, you are technically lending, not exchanging but that's regulatory window dressing. This is good exchange for the reasons you point out. Give it a try, and as always if you have any trouble come right back here for help.

Coinbase is out of the game, they still work with debit cards.
EU & UK card holders are still well served by coinhouse.com and bitpanda.com
US cards are still accepted at cex.io
World wide card acceptance at coinmama.com, higher fees there but also higher starting limits.
Charge away!

Part Payment
Hi, i made my 1st order yesterday and used blockchain (my first time for any of this bitcoin stuff) My issue is this: i only paid in the amount of my order plus their fee, so when i came to pay the vender i didn't realise you have another fee to send bitcoin so i have paid vendor but i am 6 cents short. I have tried to go back in the add more funds but blockchain say they need to do 1 time verification and this will take 7 days and after that i can buy again. What can i do to get 6 cents to the vendor?

Trivial amounts don't block transactions for most sellers, did you get this sorted out?

I lost my own post! Yes I did, my vendor has a sense of humour.

yes little biggers, there is a santa claus!
kids, if you happened to have bitcoins in a wallet or exchange last august 1st you have an incredible surprise waiting: free cash. no kidding it's bitcoin cash!
on that day bitcoin "forked" into 2 coins, original btc and the new bcc. anyone that was holding btc got the same amount in bch -for free!. support for the new coin has come right before the end of the year on coinbase, blockchain.info and others. i expect someone will make a payment processor that even works here.
enjoy the coins folks they are already worth thousands a piece. and you keep believing!

bitmixer has proven to be a good mixing service over the course of several years now.

Be extra, extra careful with urls for bitcoin mixers, always double check sources, google results are not safe, fishing sites often come up first.
