I would just like to add my thoughts if I may Thom on your thread

I think everyone in the world has something they are addicted to...which could be ANYTHING ... edible or not ... drama addicts are best in groups with others who are of the same ilk, just like a hobby club or something.

I am addicted to nature, and cheese ! ... I could not be indoors for to long, also was addicted to being alone...so literally a human can be addicted to anything...best leave everyone to it ... and just worry about you and yours. Addictions come and go. Some take a hold of you. And others are just a 'binge' session that caused the addiction etc

As for anger... I would like to say that if you do not feel anger after grief... it can lead to severe depression... anger is a natural emotion, that is often not 'allowed' .... BUT ... after grief and sorrow and loss...there is an anger period that must be embraced...so that it does not turn inwards, then comes the peace and understanding...but if anger is not tolerated (even in natural circumstances) then we are heading for a very mentally ill planet. Anger must be safely expressed so that the healthier emotions/feelings can surface...and set the brain straight !

I also recently found out that Tinnitus (that ringing in the ears) causes depression and anxiety, to the point where millions are seeking help through the mental hospitals, because of low funding for research into Tinnitus.

I have it... and it drives me mad sometimes... there is no known cure at the mo... I have learned to live with it...and now I barely notice I have it... last week the estimate was 3.6 million sufferers in the UK alone ... who have no where to turn. As very little funding for them to find a cure.

I would like to hear from anyone else who has any solutions for this, or something that works for them in order to cope with it. I have done alot of research over the years...but it would be great to hear from real people about this ?

Just thought I would mention that briefly, as it may help some people understand what they are going through!

Wow what dose did you taper from? I was an etizolam addict for around a year. 10 to 20 mg per day. Didn’t even know I was addicted until I just stopped and experienced severe withdrawals;( I did a two week taper which was not too bad considering

From 3x 10mg per day (that's as high as they start on prescription, I was using much more via online suppliers) Down to 1x 0.2mg then clean Oct 2018. Recovery groups helped a lot, and managed to keep my job despite a year off! I did fully relapse six months in and started again. Dr stuck with me and was really great. Big respect for quitting etizolam! Two week taper sounds a lot more reasonable. I had been using intermittently for a few years up to when i sought help...
So thankful for the natural way!

I think that you are smoking too much of the same stuff and the stuff you smoke now is too high in THC with only little CBD. I experienced about the same at some point in time smoking Super Silver Haze.

That stuff was so strong and contained that much THC that I got completely hyperactive and smoked a whole ounce in one day. Whatever else I smoked then was like smoking grass. It did not do shit.

So I drove to my 'Guru' near Amsterdam that introduced me to fat Indica dominant strains with a THC/CBD ratio of 40-50/60-50. And after smoking 2 or 3, I was sleeping on his sofa. I returned home after 3 days of testing/tasting and the urge to keep smoking was gone.

Lot's of different pills and powders have been spooned to the millennials by parents that were taught that there's a pill for anything.

The DSM4/5 provided the label for the illness to be cured with another novel SSRI/SNRI/DRI or variation on amphetamines, to use as happy pill.

Big Pharma's made a enormous amount of money for these new diseases and cures. Eventually it became clear that a lot of these drugs were as addictive then some illegal drugs. Sole difference is that they name it a long term necessity to use their drugs while the illegal counterparts are labeled as addictive.

Benzos are so fucking dangerous to use in a college environment where kids are still using the amphetamine prescription they worked in high school. It's what I did and I wound up in a up and down addiction every semester. Was worse when drinking inevitably became part of the equation and I'd black out for like 8 hours. Im lucky I didn't wind up dead. Now I'm in grad school and 'Ive learned to get exercise and good food and zero pills and when I do still party it's always real recreational drugs like booze and weed. If you have real anxiety find a better way to deal, if you want to chill find a better way to to that too.
