The dynavap is great. As you use a lighter to heat it up it still feels a bit like smoking. I’ve stopped tobacco and use dynavap for weed and a pipe for hash. It works for me and I’d smoked tobacco for 30 years on and off and I’ve not had any since July and am not missing it.

Thanks for this. Now im seriously considering the dynavap instead - sounds like the most joint like and perfect for camping etc as its flame powered and robust.
Is hash no good in it?

I’ve been researching hash in it but everyone seems to add roisins and wax in using the dyna coil which captures the melting liquid. Some people add hash in and use hemp fibre. As I’m not 100% on what works best I just pipe hash! Dynavap has a bit of a learning curve but there are loads of YouTube videos showing how to get the most out of it.

I was exactly the same! I bought The Mighty a couple of weeks ago and have not smoked a baccy joint since. I'm still getting used to it but it's doing the job. Lots of advice out there for using the Mighty like doing a burn off before you first use and using the dosing capsule. I would recommend it even with its hefty price tag. Unfortunately I'm still craving rolling a baccy joint and probably always will lol!

Mighty owner here. Honestly it’s one of my best purchases. I still smoke spliffs as I love them but when I am travelling for work or out and about it’s unreal. Quite stealthy and packs a punch.
Only thing I would say is it’s only as good as the material you put into it.
10/10 would buy again if I had to

Personally if you have the budget for a storz and bickel whatever I would suggest the tinymight as a alternative 👍 don't get an arizer portable vape as they won't extract quick enough

My main is Mighty plus I use dosing capsules with ground herb and my Xmax Pro V3 that I use as a backup for whatever reason lol. I'm an ex smoker about 15 a day and joints 20 or so a day. Now just vape weed.

Another Dynavap fan, small bong, tip and coil kit for wax / shatter. Edibles add couch lock if required.

I smoked for decades but quit maybe 5 years ago and don't miss tobacco at all.

You can negate much of the vape coughing if you filter it through a water bong. If you buy an adapter that matches the size of your bong stem- (one with an upright stem is better so it slots in and you don’t have to hold it in place) to fit the mighy- you shouldn’t cough- can take bigger hits, and it will definitely get you high

Big waste of money, don’t bother with dry herb vapes. You won’t get as high, will cough like a mofo because of the excruciating tickle throat effect of vaping dry herb, and will be back on the joints feeling like a mug for wasting money after trying to convince yourself dry herb vaping is alright and worth all the cash you have thrown at it. Can’t speak for the carts….perhaps they are better, but some seem to think they may be just as carcinogenic…..

Don't buy arizer portable products

Its like taking a pint you normally drink in 10 minutes splitting it into 3rds, then putting one third in a sippy cup and drinking it over 30 minutes, then wondering why your not drunk 🤷🏻

I’m required to perform lung function tests every three months- as well as have cardio and pulmonary based mri, blood tests, 6 min walking tests, and a whole bunch of other things.

My rabid affection for the Mighty (and Volcano) comes from the fact that over the last three and a half years, my stats, including lung function have dramatically improved.

It seems quite a special thing moving from an incredibly short life expectancy to becoming a long distance swimmer, and having a method of cannabis intake to thank for that.

Advocates of S and B can come across a little culty, i’m happy to admit that.

The results do speak for themselves though! I’m not sure why in my situation it would be worth trying anything else when the Mighty and Volcano have literally saved my life- hence the OTT praise for them. :-)

I have used a few different top end vapourisers just purely out of curiosity and the S and B have been the best devices all round.

Moreover, I did briefly receive a cannabis prescription at the start of last year to document the experience, and provide a justification for possession should i get a knock on the door.

Having dealt with a handful of weed clinics in the uk i can confirm that every single one of them advised that medical cannabis was for vapourisarion only to maintain legal status, but that S and B were deemed the medical industry standard, having been tested for safety.

That’s not to suggest that other vapourisers are unsafe- but it seems sensible to stick with something that works and recommended by medical professionals.

As for the medical professionals I too have been down the medical cannabis perscription route and am fully aware of the lack of knowledge in the industry around the products and vapourisers in general.
They recommend it cause they are the only company that's bothered to pay the money to get stuff classed.

They are a great vapouriser if it suits your needs and the only thing I'm trying to suggest is there are other devices on the market that might suit others.

It's a bit niche and definitely doesn't suit everyone but you can run a 7th floor elev8r in a way so it's a full glass airpath with nothing in it, the heat is produced by the quartz and with the original bowl you don't need screens. Useful for people who are sensitive to the various metals and plastics used in other vapes.

i did neither- i made the purchases beforehand before doing a bit of research and trying a few other products and it was fortunate that they happened to be the products that were universally recommended.

Once again, i’m not stating that other vapes are ineffective or unsafe- but they do happen to be the ones recommended by medical professionals, have the best reviews, and in my experience have been the easiest to use, maintain, and provide the best highs.

You will time need adjusting to vape. It will be less (throat) hitting, but I am surprised you don't get good taste. I think you get better taste with vaping. Keep it to a lower temp though. The higher the temp, the lesser the taste. Also make sure there is no ABV left in your device. My experience is if you have only a little bit of old vaped bud, can make the taste very different and unpleasant. I agree with other biggaz you might like the Dynavape the best if you are a ex smoker.

If you have sufficient calories in the extraction device a high temp extraction can contain more flavour as it gets the whole terpenes range in one pull, it only tastes naff of it takes a while to get the heat through the flower meaning the first few pulls are just getting the herb warm,.I find things with lots of hot balls work well 😉

I have a mighty and a crafty. Both are good but if getting just one definitely get the mighty. The battery lasts a lot longer and the cooling chamber is bigger. The crafty, for me at least, is a luxury item that enables one to craftily vape where one ought not to be doing that, like outside the office for example. The mighty is your loyal and dependable workhorse.

The mighty is so far away from the joint experience which is positive in every way

I'm with Sam on the SCL carts there pressed rosin so a whole flower extract and while not as "strong" as the disty carts at 90plus percent THC they feel to me more balanced.

I would give them a message and see what they recommend to you.

Other than that vapes xmax v3 pro is great and under a £100

Flower CBD definitely worth a try few vendors on here do it, look at cheesemaster they had a balanced flower not long ago

Has he tried cbd? If your worried about him getting too high or not wanting to smoke etc due to his age, cbd might be the one.. I have a number of people who come into my shop for the same thing.. 🙂

But then if he liked a bit of a smoke maybe some oil, but that hits like a train. Lol. Failing that maybe one of Serial Chiller Carts to vape.. or little hand held dry herb vape like an Arizer Solo or Pax. Etc.

The most discreet non smoke non vape type solution would be Cannacaps taken in the evening. There are quite a selection to be found on here- Mad Dabber & Hashishin have hash oil varieties at the moment. Some give a very gentle lift, pain relief and sleep assistance and others get you completely stoned, but just check the descriptions, always start with just one and remember they take an hour or more to kick in.
(As an example Hashishin’s hash oil caps are beautifully made. The Lebanese are gentle floaty and relaxing whilst the Moroccan blast you into orbit, probably not ideal for the old boy!🤩😂)…

This happened to me last week. It turns out Royal Mail are back to requiring signatures for some parcels to be able to deliver them. I just ordered a redelivery via their website and it arrived without issues, signature required.

I’ve picked up from the sorting office loads of times. If you get a new postie or one that’s anal about getting a signature then they’ll send it back to the sorting office for collection. Just remember you can’t be held responsible for what someone else sends you in the post.

A Scanner Darkly is a great pic. I only learned recently that Phillip K Dick wrote this (along with the book Bladerunner is based on - 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep' and also 'Minority Report' to name but a few. He is the Don of sci-fi.
