Most people agree that combustion (joints, bongs etc) hit the biggest but imo definitely not the best. In fact, combustion is the 👹
Quality vapourware that lets you dial in the temperature and savour a full entourage effect provide the best hit for me👍
A highly knowledgeable Bigga (🐰) provided me with a V-Leaf vape pen combined with a custom glass J-pipe, and the hits are immense. 😶‍🌫️🤤

Mighty for bud and a glass bong for hash;) I find that although the vape does provide all the cannabinoids I find on the first hit of the day it can make me anxious for 10 mins. I theorized because thc and terpenoids get vaped first, you don’t get the full entourage effect until like 10 mins after you finished the entire hit. This is why I like to have a bong of hash first;) does that make sense?

Yeah, kind of….the Mighty is my go to vape and I don’t find any downside other that it’s an ugly baby😂…what temp. do you go in at? I like the idea of a little hash to start with mind😋🤤

👍👍…I think it is, I have 7 or 8 different vapes but the Mighty is still my daily ‘go to’ choice. It looks like a big ugly lump of dated nonsense (compared to some latest beauties) and you can’t switch batteries but other than than it does everything perfectly, dosing capsules work great and you can vape green, hash, & liquids (even at the same time!🤩🤤)…

I always use the capsules, you can preload them so you’re always good to go👍…there are two types-one has a mesh pad inside for concentrates, the other is empty. I make sandwiches with weed and hash- I’m about to have Ice Cream Cake weed with Cereal Milk rosin crumble in the middle 😍🔥🤤
Those high temperatures do work well for hash though…

Another good way is to put the hash in the grinder with the weed and that makes the hash in small enough pieces to vape well;)

To be honest most of my vapes don't have temperature control in a typical manner so 🤷🏻 anyhow I'm off to set the vapdong to 11.6v and let it heat soak and settle to 11.1v , my DC elev8r is currently at 600f as PID's only seem to come in freedom units and my silver surfers "knob" is turned to just before midday 👍 I find all these settings work well to avoid 🔥 but provide plenty of ☁️ and flavour ☺️ here's a picture of its ceramic heater and glass that probably needs a clean soon 🤔

Interesting, and goes to show how nuanced our individual experiences of being ‘high’ are.

They should have also tested for the ‘placebo’ effect, telling users they are taking high and low THC levels and recording their experiences when in fact it’s all the same. It was also interesting that edibles are different- the more you take the higher you get apparently- and yet many Biggas claim to be virtually immune to the effect of edibles!

I think there is a ‘race to the top’ with THC levels with buyers assuming bigger highs and better value which isn’t necessarily the case. For me it’s occasion driven (as with booze): if I feel like getting blasted out comes the 32% Jungle Boys, for a morning lift I love the 10% CBD Euphoria from The Cheesemaster. The highs are NOT the same! 😜

For me the higher THC levels don’t necessarily mean a better high. The entourage effect is real for me, distillate and rso don’t mess with me as much as bud. Yes I might feel “higher” buts it’s not a “complete” high for me, it feels like there’s a missing part

Don't hold it in, you cause more damage to you lungs and any extra effects felt will be from holding your breath not additional cannaboids being absorbed.

Good to know, I shall adjust my method;) what am I breathing out though if all the cannabinoids and terpenes have been absorbed in the 1st second? That cloud must be made of something? Surely I am not hallucinating. When I get good weed it has loads of vapour and when I get crap weed it doesn’t. Also if I get crap wet weed then I don’t get much vapour either, which points towards the visible vapour being cannabinoids and terpenes, not water vapour. I found if I hold my vapour in for a 5 seconds count and then breath in a bit more air without breathing out any vapour to expand your lungs even more for another 5 seconds, making 10 seconds in total, then exhale. This gets me more stoned and I breath out less vapour. Obviously do not do this with tobacco or if your terpenes concentration exeeds 5%.

Hi! to my best understanding, and I'm definitely not an expert on this subject, the vapor you exhale are as potent as the ones you inhale it's just that your lungs receptors capacity is limited to absorb matter per time. if I understand it right than the best way to use the maximum potential of your vapors is vaping/smoking in as small and sealed as possible space and stay in there for sometime after finishing - or in short "hotboxing". just my 2 cents :-)

Have you considered 510 carts? My tolerance due to my illness varies day to day, so 1 day it spanks me, next day it doesnt touch me...so I'm always careful.
Look at Serial Chiller Labs, their carts are like pure flower spliffs....get the full cannabis taste and effects without the messing about and burning etc. Really great pricing and they last a long time.
Some strains quite mild and wont tear your head off. Message them and ask which current batches would suit you may be.

MJ- Nerdz is great, nice mellow buzz. 5- 10 second inhale and job done!

Only problem with them is they add terpenes but don’t say what terpenes and what concentration. Terpenes over 5% is a no no and also phytol has even been banned in Canada I think. I stick to weed and hash now. Thanks for the suggestion though;)

No worries, Serial Chiller carts are Rosin, so no added anything inc terps. its the just pure plant extract and the natural flavour of the strain.

I’m not adverse to terpenes. Just unknown terpenes in unknown concentrations. Above 5% is not safe and a lot of the liquidisers are not safe imo. Buds and hash have about 3% max terpenes I think. I am sure they are probably ok but I stick to hash and weed now;) thanks for replying though

I also have very little THC tolerance, try some of the CBD rich strains, like CBD bomb from The Cheesemaster or Hawaiian Haze from The Green Team. You can always mix in stronger strains with these if you like.

When we were at school it was literally some gold wrapping on the hash, we also got red seal.

Red seal had the red wrapping but I used to buy gold seal and it had a gold colour on the actual hash.

Exactly what i was going to say, it was the colour of the wrapping. The gold seal was kinda yellow and the red seal was red. Just coloured stickytape wrapped around each bar basically.

I remember a gold left star stamped on them too. I also remember red seal and golf ball black look like it had a golf ball rolled across it.

Back in the late 80's early 90's it was just the plastic wrapping on squidgy black hash. This hash was not always superb quality and sometimes was polluted with all sorts of shit but if you got the good stuff it was lovely. Then came the gold stamped hashes from Afghanistan I think - Lucky Strike logo was a common one and it was always amazing quality - the logo was done in gold paint onto the hash and it looked cool as a bit like gold leaf. It was black on the surface but inside was lighter with a yellow or green tint and tasted amazing with a proper strong high.

What is the gold though? Can’t be real gold;)

I also remember up until the early 2000's a very high quality afghani black hash with gold stamp pressed onto the hash itself. we used to treat the golden stamped part of the hash as a bit special because of it's shiny top :-) considering the era I don't think gold food coloring was available in the remote places where the hash was made and though I was never present in a gold stamping of hash bars my best guess will be that the stamps where made of real edible gold leaves which are quite common especially in India are are fairly cheap. as I've mentioned above the gold stamped black hash that used to arrive here was of high quality, so it's not unreasonable to spend one gold leaf to press on it to give it a prestigious appearance. one crucial evident (imo) for it to probably be real edible gold is that it burnt perfectly clean with no residue as much as I can recall and no nasty smells or harsh taste to it. it was actually a bit of a fashion not long ago using gold edible leaves as rolling papers for special joints/blunts, cute. thank you for posting this subject! fun time remembering...

Sorry guys we would love for that to be a permanent listings but unfortunately it's so hit and miss importing flower we honestly couldn't figure out how others do it and are still profitable if memory serves me correctly it was something like 3 out of 10 shipments arrived and the rest were all intercepted we have tried various methods to the point where we are scratching our heads thinking how are the other vendors pulling it off some must have a very nice system and others but uk flower and call it imports.
We personally know its possible as we know someone who imports from the USA regularly his prices are just ridiculous but his method unfortunately won't get past our customs, we have just decided to stick with what we know as disappointing as it is that we can't have the flower but we are hoping to add to kief to our menu in the new year hopefully this will be a welcomed substitute :)

To be completely honest guys between all the seizures between UK and Canadian customs it has us a bit shaken and without given away any trade secrets we are just sticking with what we know for the moment.

No it would be UK sourced terpenes but we would always source quality without saying too much the distillate is very different compared to shipping carts we wish it weren't so as it will be a bit of a headache to transfer the distillate into the carts but if the result is happy customers it should be worth the effort :)

Just thought there are a few cart sellers here and as you are Canadian imports I thought you potentially could come up with something special;) like htfse in syringes like your distillate. Then we could just squeeze that into a c cell and happy dayz. Would the importation of htfse not in carts be that different than distillate which isn’t in carts? Both are oils and you sell live resin. I respect your right not to answer if you feel you are giving some secret info away;)

No it's not a issue we will always answer when we can the issue with the htfse is a bit hard to purchase in bulk from our supplier where they mostly offer smaller quantities it becomes difficult, messy and expensive so we have always just left it be but you have planted the seed of thought and we will be discussing this with our supplier again and we may see some new products on the menu in the new year :)

I was referring to dispensary v black market weed. Although in my experience in California which I've visited numerous times over a 30 year period there's just as much quality on the black market as found in a dispensary and in this country black market weed can be much better than dispensary.

If you haven't seen it already Nick, there's a really good documentary on Netflix called 'Murder Mountain' which talks about this subject (amongst a load of other crazy stuff).

There's far too much to this subject for me to explain in a brief post, but essentially the plant's environment (temps, CO2 levels and humidity) will affect the "tightness" of the buds. Also not just light intensity, but the spectrum of light used at various points during the flowering process will affect the end result.

Bottom line is; with the correct genetics, the same cannabis can be grown anywhere in the world to the same standard.

Many people don't want to break the law so you're automatically reducing the talent pool of people who are willing to grow in places like the UK where it's illegal. Also a lot of UK grows are setup with cheap equipment on the basis that they could potentially be busted.

No point spending £40k on a light setup if they think it's going to end up in the incinerator, when they can buy cheap crap for £5k.

Like i said, there's so much to this subject it's almost impossible to explain in one post but hopefully this gives you a bit of an idea of the reasons why cannabis seems (in some cases but not all) to be better from countries where its legalised.

Those Canadians do that hanging vertical hps in their grow room . I think that maybe gets more consistency in potency and density top to bottom. IMO that only a guess. Also another point is access to many different pheno’s

BB has already answered your question, but I will add it even goes down to the pot size, nutrients used, PH level of water, stress, how often you feed etc. can play a massive role in the crop. I personally look at growing as 50% the genetics, and the other 50% is the environment and grower. If the grower can get most things spot on and they start with good genetics, they're on to a winner.
