Hey Biggas,
July has been a decent month for me smoke-wise, having been on a bit of a budget previously. I figured rather than individual reviews I'll stick them all here. Some have been reviewed in depth by other biggas so I'll breeze over them and focus on stuff that I haven't seen reviewed yet.
Honourable mentions go to Tescrow's Putin and Casa hashes. My opinions largely match what I have seen from others. Both really nice, the Casa is more malleable but the Putin packs more of a punch. Putin has dislodged DGT's Sunset Sherbet as my favourite commercial hash on LB.
I also finally tried one of Sensi Mart's 100% live resin carts. I've now tried all 50/50s and the 100% carts from them. I found the 100% cart didn't have as strong a flavour as some of the 50/50s, this is likely down to the strain not being as flavourful. The effects are great, really smooth on the inhale and exhale, I can take bigger hits of this than the 50/50s without coughing. I'd say it rivals the gg4 50/50 in terms of strength, I definitely feel the effects for longer from the 100%. I would love to see a Rainbow Belts 100% cart.
Finally I bought an Oz from The Gentlemen Dealers and they kindly split it so that I got 14gs each of their Mimosa and Berry Burst, you can find pics of both below. I was going for a nice sativa/indica mix and this seemed like the best bet.
Mimosa - I now understand why Pollypuff raves about this strain. The citrus smell is insane, never found a strain that smells this much like oranges. I mostly vape this as I feel like the flavour comes through better, I'm usually more of a spliff smoker but this is noticeably better through the Mighty.
Like a lot of sativa this is a great 'do stuff' weed, it's quite energising mentally. It's the perfect weed for a long, sunny walk with headphones on. A good daytime weed, you feel the effects nicely without it overtaking you.
Berry Burst (Blueberry X Cherry Pie) - This is probably the most unique weed I have bought on LB to date. It had the oddest smell when I first opened the bag, really earthy and almost coffee like, this seems to have mellowed in the jar but it still has a unique smell to me. If anyone else bought this, let me know what you think. It's not a criticism of the bud at all, just sure there are people who could describe it better than I can.

It was your evangelising of mimosa that put it on my radar in the first place. I’ll be sticking with it as my go to daytime smoke.
I really hope there will be more 100% carts to come from Sensi Mart, although I’ll never give up the 50/50s either. The rainbow belts cart is the nicest tasting cart I’ve bought. Hope you enjoy yours and let me know what you think, interested to hear your thoughts on it.

I use a Honeybee with mine. I was a bit of a cart cynic until I tried the Sensi Mart 50/50s and I am now a total convert lol. I hope you enjoy it.

I was lucky enough to win RealD's reverse Auction last week and did a little write-up as a thanks and to let biggas know about the hash I received. For some reason it has never appeared on the Topics wall so I think only myself and RealD have seen it lol

I am definitely learning something new here everyday! I understand the algorithm having an effect on the items wall, but this is the first time I’ve seen it in the Topics. I figured Topics was an ‘anything goes’ environment, but clearly not.
As you said, how many good topics get buried by the algorithm? It’s a shame that it puts off people from contributing.

The topics wall can behave as weirdly as the items wall. In fairness, since the migration to .com it’s actually easier to use as posts appear in a less random fashion. Before you could see two topics of interest, read one and then go back for the second and it had simply disappeared!….some topics only ever appeared if you logged out!
Some topics fall away very quickly if they don’t get traction ie votes and comments but this doesn’t explain why others with zero traction hang about literally for ever🤨
Generally voting and commenting keeps a topic on the wall unless it doesn’t, for reasons often too hard to fathom.
The Algo generally likes reviews, particularly with photos. It likes non commercial posts and strangest of all it likes posts in a foreign language. I can only assume from this that it has aspirations to be an international centre for creative thoughts 🤷♂️. Why as a weed site it openly hates the word ‘Cali’ is one mystery too far….😵💫

Interesting points. This is the first time I have posted a topic that has never appeared on the topics wall at all. Even now the review has votes and responses it is still invisible. We did go through a period where some Biggas were denouncing ALL Cali as basically fake- fuelled by the fact that the empty branded bags can be bought online for pennies. It raged for some time and I think “fake” and “Cali” might have become intertwined in the magnificent brain of the algorithm 🤓
A few bigga’s and myself actually thought topics where getting removed and in the archive 🙄
If it really is still the LB algorithm vs the word “Cali” (as stated by CleanUp Borg some time ago) then I simply despair 😞

Next time when topic goes archive, message cleanup borg and mention that your posts are not getting seen on the wall. Give it 2-3 days and it should all be fixed. That happens due to algorithm guess. Cleanupborg also should be able to give you the reason. It might not be you affected but RealD , so RealD just message the cleanupborg for your topics to reappear! Hope this has helped.

Ha! My luck can't keep up dude, it's like in those old Fighting Fantasy books where you lose a lucky point each time you check your luck...surely?
You kept your finger in the page just in case it was the wrong decision, right? There's an app now! It actually gives you the option of an easy mode where you digitally put your finger in the page, but you can also roll digital dice and stuff (as I don't think many people actually used it like that, back in the day).

First order with CC and while I can't attest to the quality of other things on the menu I can say for sure that this AK is up there with one of my best buys on here!
this stuff takes me right back to when good clean UK weed was cheap and abundant
right out the bag this stuff is slapping you in the face with the most textbook, pungent kush terps, really properly stinky, like REALLY stinky! perfect cure, perfect trim (UK style) smokes and tastes bloody lovely, clean ash and smooth as you like! plenty strong enough for most people's needs
I'm honestly still a bit shocked that I got this fat bag of wonderful, deliciously stinky nostalgia for such a cheap price, thank you very much CC and if you grew this you deserve a massive pat on the back!

i love that i don't have to worry about having an existential crisis, as i do with some other modern strains and potencies. the afghan kush just turns me into a cozy melted blanket.
Here's my Afghan Kush, day 83 of the grow, 35 days since flipping to flowering. Starting to smell really nice.
Had to switch from using rain water to RO water for the first time as my water butt is empty, so a few nutrient issues but still looking pretty good.
This is for personal use only, so should have plenty of supplies for a while 💚

Looks good, add some nutes don't use just ro water as that will strip the nutes from the plant.

I started adding calmag along with my usual nutrients, my grows don't usually yellow this early when I use rain water.

If you're already adding nutes then it might be nute locked so the roots don't take up enough or any at all. That yellowing should only happen in the last couple of weeks of flushing and is a sign of the plant running out of nutes.

After a long 15 weeks flowering, finally harvested the Afghan Kush.
Pretty happy with the yield for 1 plant, buds are dense, trichomes are milky/amber, smells delicious.
I'm hoping for 6 - 7 ounces

Went on holiday for 2 weeks & left my auto-watering system to take care of my Afghan Kush, expected to come back & get ready to harvest her but not a single amber trichome anywhere!
She's recovered from the nutrient lock-out & the buds are really fattening up.
117 days growing, 69 days since flipping. Smells beautiful, I think another couple of weeks to go, maybe more, still not seen an amber trichome.

Looks like an unlucky dip you got a "bad" pheno there. Ours finishing at day 60 with swallen buds and orange brown hairs.
I had similar phenos from the new strains we popped from seeds and they just look like they never finish and we just harvest it at week 10 max. They take too long to finish and even after 10 weeks they still have mostly white hair but big buds. They are just not keepers, we are hunting for phenos that completely finished by day 60 with nice swallen buds, visible thrichome cover and amber/brown hairs.

Median for a bud ounce is about £180, so under £120 is properly cheap. The MKK2020 OG Kush that Blazin_Esx and MightyRux were talking about is back up with 1g to 28g sizes today, oz at £166, though worth reading their recent reviews first given what Warriorrob found further up. Have you tried any that are infused with RSO? Bald Eagle Bakery do top notch RSO/D9 gummies and Rocket Dog Ronnie has some great FECO/RSO edibles. C…

So back again, have tried a few reccomended vendors for edibles and unfortunately still not a single one that seems to work for me. Ive tried shatter based, d9 and d8 based, and finally just tried some live resin based and again, nothing. Background info, i have been able to get high off of edibles before, and just recently had a T-break, so i have no idea whats going on. Any advice or further reccomendations welcomed, also curious if anyone else is still having the same problem?
If you have an 'acidic' stomach edibles may not work on you. I would suggest having a Rennie tablet or similar, or even some Kefir yoghurt, before you take any. I had a similar issue, 125mg didn't do a thing, but I've adjusted my diet & now 30mg gets me nicely mellowed out. My go to edibles are the 'Full Spectrum 30mg gummies' from Dr. Distillate for the evening & the 'Concentrate Capsules' from MJconcentrates for daytime dosing. I gave up smoking in November after about 40 years & these have been my saviours. Hope this is useful, cheers.

Havent gone as far as FECO/RSO yet as its the area i have least experience in, and from my understanding if they arent processed correctly they can be dangerous? I need to research some more i think.

I find the FECO/RSO mix is great for sleep. I think with RSO it's not safe to vape or smoke but it's fine for edibles. Give RDR a try, I think you can grab a nerd rope for less than a tenner.
Don't think there's anything dangerous about FECO. It's just decarb weed tincture that has been reduced down to concentrate by evaporating the alcohol.
rocketdogronnie has great FECO edibles and is a top fella to boot. i imagine he'd gladly send you a wee sample. (by which i mean a small sample, not piss.)

Hi mate the only ones it do it for me are radarbreeders gummies and I am the same done loads a different ones and these are the only ones that really fuck me up lol read the review on them on his page got loads on it good reviews one bear is 60mg I have a high tolerance 2 bears gets me wasted hope this helps

My thinking is your "dose" of cannabutter may contain a lot higher thc % than the edibles you are trying? Also, cannabutter is fat based and if you also had success with chocolate (also contains fat), then is it possible you need a certain amount of fat to help activate the thc? As far as I am aware gummies don't contain fat, or at least, very little? So, maybe a little chocolate/fatty snack with your edibles would help?
