Hey guys,
No shade to the sellers on here, but after getting into carts recently, I’ve been doing some research on the dangers. Apparently, the fake cart industry is MASSIVE. And counterfeiters are able to produce almost identical packaging and labels using 3D printers etc.
Honestly, I’ve been down a massive rabbit hole reading about this and I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s a very slim chance that what I’ve been buying on here can be real...why would licensed and legal companies risk their business by selling on the black market? I could be wrong, I dunno. Just sharing my thoughts.
Legal carts bought from dispensary’s have to be lab tested so we know there’s no banned substances in them. These carts could have anything in...and that worries me. Most of the reported cases of ‘vape lung’ were linked to fake THC cartridges .Plus they’re from America where there’s even less regulation on this kinda stuff. But yeah, know it’s always a risk when you buy like this. And also vaping - vaping hasn’t been around long enough anyway for us to understand the long term dangers, right? ...ehh just riffing here.
But there’s also the sensationalism in the press (particularly in the US) regarding vaping illness. Is it as bad as they make it out to be? Is this all just a ploy from big tobacco?
And of course there are the sellers that make their own - containing ‘only distillate and terpenes’. Again, how’d we know that these are clean?
I’ve read a few horror stories and I don’t think it’s worth the risk. I enjoy the stealth and the strength of vaping but not the paranoia I get when I think “I don’t know wtf I’m putting into my body”.
Just wondered what others think?
