This is purely a crypto/banking issue and not directly related to Little Biggy just looking for some advice. i know enough to buy stuff off here thats pretty much the end of my cypto knowledge.
So I've been with Kraken a good while now and until now had no issues , my debit card ran its coarse and I was issued with a new debit card beginning of the month
same account number sort code , only change was the last two digits of the big card number on the front of the card.
So I attempt to add my new card ... the usual details card no, exp date CVS number , does the 3d secure, calls my phone, give them a number goes successfully as in the number has been accepted at the end of the call.
but I get a big x with "UNABLE TO ADD YOUR CARD " (on kraken website) try adding your card again or contact support if this issue persists
so I tried again
same results
and again same result .
I contact my bank (Lloyds) explain situation , go through to fraud team specialists confirm card has 3d secure and there are no limits restriction on account and that Lloyds debt cards can still buy crypto.
she says try it again, so I do .... now says Card limit reached
You have the maximum number of cards. You can add a new card on June 11, 2026 at 1:39 PM
So I contact Kraken

Upon checking you have tried to add your card 4 times today.
Your first attempt failed to validate which most likely means that Visa/Mastercard is not providing the required 3D Secure authentication when validating your card.
Your other three card adding attempts also failed to validate. This most likely means that your card issuer does not allow crypto purchases.
A maximum of 4 attempts to save your payment card is allowed within a 30 day rolling period, which is why you are now unable to add any more. We have forwarded your query to our technical team to see if it's possible to get this limit reset for you.
This may take a couple of days, but we will update you as soon as we have further news."

"As a one-time courtesy, we have now reset your saved card limit to allow one more attempt to add a card.
You can add a new Visa or Mastercard that is 3D Secured and in the same legal name as your Kraken account. We do not accept Maestro.

next day I read the above but
Before I tried again , I made an online purchase , a cash withdraw from cashpoint and in store purchase all worked fine.
tried again ..you guessed it exact same thing happens.
So I contact Lloyds they basically say the same stuff and try say its some sort of kraken issue everything's ok there side.

Unfortunately we can only reset the card limit as a one time courtesy and as we have done that already, we are not able to do so again.
I said ok but what's stopping it from happening again in a months time ?
"If your card isn't validating, it's likely because your card issuer doesn't allow crypto purchases. We weren't provided with the error, please contact your card issuer directly for further details"
So what they hell do I do ? what would you do ?
I don't send to a private wallet straight to LB But I've not received any emails restricting/banning my account.
My kraken account is verified , I would just open a new account with a new exchange but my ID just expired. Take ages and ££ to renew (looking into doing that now but expect it to takes weeks ) want a quicker solution.
and like I said to the kraken person whats stopping it from just happening again next month...? no one seems to know whats causing it ? any ideas ?
should I open a new bank ? if so which is best ? what exchange would you recommend ?
any help/ advice welcome wondering if this happened to any bigga's?
