You are absolutely right, BTC was not created with the purpose to be anonymous, but, it is also much harder to track down a person based only on a BTC transaction. Anyway, yes, you can make it even harder to track you by using a BTC tumbler service.

If you know that address X is owned by Mr. Y, then yes, it is perfect for tracking all his activities, otherwise not much helpful.

No, it is not, you can't pick an address and just find the IP linked to that address. Unless who owns that address used a compromised wallet which added in the header chunk more information about the sender. But this would be a little bit difficult to happen because the tx would have an invalid header.

Retrieving a IP from a tx would mean that an attacker got access to a third party website which acts like an wallet.

BTC it is safe from this pov, the main problem is that the transaction are not layered (like TOR browser does), apart that. The average person should really not worry about.

just don't have KYC connected to the wallet and you should be fine. Really any website engaging in illegal activity should have monero as a payment option, literally a no brainer
