Part 1 of a two part review from a big old Hans selection this week.
In this particular place order we had the two mentioned here, as well as the pink candy and the frittlez. I’ll cover those other two in my next review, probably tomorrow.
As usual first things first. Some desperate last minute back and forth left me placing my order slightly after cutoff - no worries with Hans - he snuck my order into that days run. It arrived 24 hours later. Usual 5 layers of stealth, nicely packaged - my missus thought it was something she’d order off ebay...it wasnt!
Weighed up, and we landed at 7.3g on the gelonade, and 7.5 on the ginger ale. I’ll say at this point, thats consistent with Hans’s orders. Including the two other strains that came with this order, ive had 9 off Hans now, and every single one has been on, or over weight.
So first up, the ginger ale. Quite dark looking, floral smelling, tight little buds - nicely trimmed. Very little wastage with Hans’ stuff as well. A little bit spicy on the inhale, and a little harsher than other strains ive had from hans, but decent, and not unpleasant. If that sounds critical, its not meant to be - its just an indication as to how consistently good this guys stuffs been.
I’d say medium strength - definately not a light effort, but didnt bash my face in like most of his other strains. Overall a solid effort, glad i tried it, but not turbo like his best efforts
The Gelonade on the other hand...fuck me this one hits prefty hard, pretty quick, and is a lovely high. Clear statement of intent from both the sativa and indica elements, it smells fucking gorgeous, and tastes really, really nice. Its absolutely top drawer, make no mistake. Once again, Hans’ description of the effects are spot on - its too heavy to be a clear sativa, but too functional to be indica dominant. It feels right down the middle but it does it with style.
I usually update my top 5/10 strains from biggy, but will do this after the second part of the review tomorrow. For what its worth the gelonade will definately be competing right at the top end, no question.
Anyone debating it - get on that gelonade before it goes out of stock. Its superb.
