Firstly, i don't like his music. In fact, I find it outright offensively bad.
And I've never met him, so can't give an opinion on Ed as a person.
Secondly, the events in the Middle East (and elsewhere) are atrocious and need to stop.

My point is, i actually feel sorry for Ed.
I think he has every right to distance himself and his shows from current events.
His repertoire is feel good music, and his shows are safe spaces for folk to unwind, let their hair down, and sing along to his shitty songs.
WHILE LEAVING THEIR WORRIES AND FEARS OUTSIDE THE VENUE.
