Cannabis vendors might make 100% profit but the mushroom vendors are making 1000% profits minimum. Considering rye grain is £2 a kilo and spores cost as little a £5. Cubensis have around 200% BE . And only takes 6 weeks to start to finish. It’s very surprising IMO.

Hello everyone!

Unfortunately I recently received my first negative review (3/10) - super disappointed and unexpected!

Just wanted to quickly address it and reassure everyone of my procedures as the review states that the mushrooms were 'out of date' and made him/her sick. I personally think its very unlikely that the mushrooms being 'out of date' caused this but regardless, massive apologies to whoever left the review!

This is my procedure:
All my mushrooms are harvested when the veils have just started to break, they are then dehydrated/dried to <10% weight and immediately vacuum packed until needed for orders. Also each harvest tends to sell out fairly fast so the shrooms you receive, most of the time, would have been harvested less than a week ago so I can assure everyone that no mushrooms from me are out of date!

Don't panic all your other reviews are 10 out of 10. Shit happens and nobody can say if it was the mushrooms or not. Buyer gave you the benefit of the doubt but a 3 out of 10 despite also not knowing.

Totally your call, but if you have an idea of who it was perhaps reach out and offer some compensation, either in the form of refund or reship in return for an updated review.

The buyer has the ability to edit their review and score for quite a while after it's been posted.

They really should've contacted you first before leaving a 3/10, but some people don't, which is their prerogative i guess.

I do wish they had contacted me before leaving the review as I will always try my best to sort any issues (although this is my first) but it is what it is.

hey bud, you sound like a genuinely nice vendor who is here to help. We were sick not so long ago on some mushrooms but we rarely feel it's 100% down to the shroom's themselves especially if its from a reputable source (all yours reviews give you massive credit :-))

As the other advice gives, all you can do when someone leaves a review like that is hope they get in touch directly so you can offer to help. We did have one review for 4/10 and left a comment "not" and that was it - both made us laugh but :-( at the same time as we have no idea what he/she meant!

One thing to ponder, a past Sharman once said to us that the mushroom always brings to you what you need, so when I asked "I needed to be violently ill?", they said very calmly - "a clearing out was needed"

So who knows?! we are firm believers that the universe is on your side and what happens to you is what you need - whether or not it makes sense or you perception of it is negative / struggle

Do you use a hydrometer? Is it possible you vacuum packed a not completely dried mushroom? Which may of gone off.

I don't but I use a dehydrator for 8-12 hours until all shrooms have lost AT LEAST 90% weight. I find it very unlikely that any shrooms would have been packed not dry but I will definitely be adding a good hydrometer to my drying setup to ensure it cant ever happen :)

Personally I normally dry in a dehydrator but just wait till cracker dry. I don’t weigh to make sure.

Mushrooms can be 92% water but I doubt if that potential 2% water extra would make a difference either. Good luck ;)

Yeah I pretty much do the same wait until all cracker dry then I just weigh to make sure they've lost at least 90%. Looks like a hydrometer may be worth it though!
