20 years delivering items to Joe public, delays happen, and I'm always quick to point out that if your item arrived late, and you needed it sooner, then you should have bought LOCAL.
The entire world has gone to shit, people want things yesterday, folk squabble over nothing, and the level of entitlement is off the scale.

Further to add because of the over sized order it was handed in over the counter with several other similar sizes parcels all with no issues and have since been back in that PO and they ate as good as gold. The account that started this just wanted coin back as hush money and has only one buy on there record which is was with me.

I know through hands on experience that a barcode would flag all other items brought as it happened once years back with a courier company that flagged one item as someone ie the same competitor grassed by phoning uo and giving up the tracking number and saying that they are reporting a suspicious package that they opened which is full of green, so the courier company froze all other items in the conveyer all over the UK at once. So why has this not happened here with the bar code???
