What would you recommend...

A friend of my son pointed me to Littlebiggy only a few weeks ago and I'm oh so glad she did. Fantastic idea and brilliant community.

Just wondering what others might recommend me try for a long term smoker that's only had whatever my local seller had on offer.

Had a couple of nice orders from here already and looking forward to trying WHITE RUNTZ as recommend by TheSpaceMen when it arrives shortly.

Welcome mate! For 'regular' but better quality than I ever got locally, despite numerous contacts, would be some of the selections from TheSpaceMen, and Green Cat, or excellent grower/vendors like Franz (when he has a drop), UKgrower2, or Keep It Green. If you like hash then DrGreenThumb.

However, if you want a real treat, then you want to go boutique/deli quality and go check out THC23's wares. One of the finest things I've ever smoked in 30+ years is the Crumbled Limes that they've just got back in stock. You'll be opening the jar to smell it in between smoking it, and when you smoke it you won't believe how tasty it is, and, it gets you wrecked too. Link above.

Loads of recommendations, I like homegrown and THC23 to treat myself but it's on the pricier side. Dr greenthumb for the hash. Insane options

Out of interest how are you consuming it? Moving to vaporisation was by far the best switch I've made, especially when you come across a market as varied as this. Makes you really appreciate the quality and variety

I'm an old, old ex-smoker still enjoying making just a single paper smoke. No tobacco just flower.

Used a vape for a while but never fully embraced it as it never was as good it felt. But now there's many things to maybe explore again.

If I can get as good as high and have that in a nice neat vape solution maybe time to try again.

Are the highs as good if not better?

The high from a dry herb vaporiser is way better imo.
The reason for this is the temps, the end of a joint burns at 1000C+, destroying a load of volatile terpenes & cannabinoids before you can enhale them, a dry herb vape on the other hand works at much lower temps, I start my vape at 180C & finish at 210C.

I use a Storz & Bickel Venty (its expensive, but well worth it), I find vaping 0.2g (the size of the oven) leaves me more satisfied than smoking a 0.5g joint, so I use far less.

Then there's the health benefits - no combustion means no nasty chemicals being enhaled.

Switching to vaping is a no brainer, just got to get yourself a good one.
Can recommend the Venty of course, I started with a Crafty+ which is great but has small battery, the Mighty+ is also a beast. Arizer do decent vapes too, but haven't tried.

A fair assessment. I have a Mighty+ but I can't stop being a dirty joint smoker, unfortunately. I have your Cheese drops in my basket, so this comment is very reassuring as a potential customer.

Never knew about dry vaping until tonight and after a brief search it looks an interesting avenue to explore.

Plus, after you've dry vaped that bud then you've decarbed it, so then you can bake with it if you save it in a jar as there's still a lot of residual THC left. I'm too lazy, but, if you're not you can potentially make your own edibles. I feel like this is something you should share with your son and his friend. Return the love.

Oh it's insane. Can't look back. Joints taste like shit. Bongs taste like shit.

The issue is you need to invest in a really good quality device for it to be worth it. Ie to get a similar hit to a bong

Ok, so you've hit on one of the main benefits of this site as a long term smoker. For years we didn't have a clue what we were smoking, but now you can note strains, how they work for you specifically, and order based on that. Leafly is a fantastic resource for this cross-referencing.
