You kept your finger in the page just in case it was the wrong decision, right? There's an app now! It actually gives you the option of an easy mode where you digitally put your finger in the page, but you can also roll digital dice and stuff (as I don't think many people actually used it like that, back in the day).

Hey Biggaz, It's been awhile since I've checked in.
Just giving a small update on the Biggy Index.
It's been online for just over a year now and hopefully has helped some people out.
Recently the site was made open source, which some may have noticed already:

You can browse all the Next.js project files on Github and see how everything works under the bonnet if that sort of thing interests you.
I've slowly been adding features to the site, but have been low on ideas lately but have time to work on it.
So if you have any cool ideas for features or quality of life stuff, or any other feedback go ahead and share and I'll see what I can do.

Some food for thought - warnings for inactive vendors
I try to do my due diligence and make sure whomever I buy from has good recent feedback. But you can't really see that from the index as you skip the vendors main page and their sales/interactions/complaints. Some I'd actively avoid after seeing their walls 🫣
But that'd be super hard to capture.
What about starting off with warnings for vendors not online within the last week? Or similarly warnings for vendors hitting a surplus of negative reviews? It'd avoid making purchases I regretted

I’ve noticed a few little quirks of the site that make it a bit fiddly to use, observed on Safari on iOS incase it is browser specific…
If you click onto a product category from the main screen (e.g. flower) rather than clicking the “browse marketplace” button you don’t get the filter options, which kind of defeats the point of the site.
If you then press the back button in the browser or click the logo top left to return to the main screen to select “browse marketplace”, then it doesn’t load correctly and just gives you a blank screen. You have to refresh the page to get it to work again.
Not a big issue but figured I’d flag it if you’re looking for things to work on!

Break it. Fuck with it. Make it better yourself. That’s kind of the point of open source. AI makes it all way easier. Removes the barrier to entry.

I run biggysearch.net, a different index of the same wall, so take this as one builder to another rather than a feature request.
The up to date stock levels ask in this thread is the one I would warn you about before you build it. LB's items wall feed does not always return the whole wall, and it does not tell you when it has not.
I have 1,317 syncs of that feed logged since 7 August. Most days the item count sits within a few of that day's median. Two days did not. On 16 September most reads came back between 801 and 816 items, and on 18 September between 803 and 810, while the true number both days was about 940. Every one of those came back as a normal 200 with no error on it.
That matters because the obvious way to spot a delisting is "it was there yesterday and it is not in this feed". On those two days that rule quietly killed about 140 live listings at once, then resurrected them when the feed recovered. Mine did exactly that before I caught it, and it also poisoned my own history, so anything I had built on what went out of stock was partly fiction.
What fixed it, in case it saves you the same week: treat any feed that comes back under about 95 percent of a rolling median of recent feeds as incomplete rather than authoritative. Trust the listings it does contain, conclude nothing from the ones it does not. Then require a listing to be absent from three consecutive complete feeds before calling it gone. A real delisting still lands within the hour, and a bad feed stops meaning anything.
Same trap applies to any per seller count. A seller who looks like they pulled their whole catalogue overnight is usually a short feed rather than an exit. I had one of those on my screen last week and very nearly said so out loud, which would have been embarrassing and wrong.

The “select all” option on the sellers filter is a good shout!
There’s a couple of sellers I don’t want to buy from that also happen to have large numbers of products that fill up the results.
I filtered them out the other day whilst doing a search but it takes a long time to go through the list and tick every single one apart from them. Would be much quicker and easier with a “select all” option then could just remove the 2 I don’t want including.

It’s a certain “nutty” vendor for me and another one who is accused of drop shipping that same vendor. Kind of links in to one of the other replies on here about “bad sellers” and whether Biggy Index could somehow identify them - probably would be some AI way of detecting negative sentiment in posts on their wall (buyers complaining about delays, lack of replies to messages, different products being shipped, etc).

1 - You have a single product that’s poorly advertised
You for some reason have a picture of a product you then immediately claim not to sell but you managed to acquire the packaging for that product?
It’s confusing and I would remove any reference to that brand if you’re not actually selling it, if this is home made stuff then proudly state that, don’t put it on some packaging “you acquired” so it looks cooler, people won’t want to buy from you if your own marketing is ambiguous about what it is you’re actually selling
You’re going to have someone see that branding, not read your text and then order thinking they’re getting the brand name and then they’ll claim you scammed them if they don’t get that branded product
So just remove it and let your product speak for itself

2nd order now of SSH from the spacemen, although I'm planning to quite smoking again, I had to get myself a bit more because this stuff is everything I gell in love with weed for in the first place.
Which got me thinking, with all the new fancy strains about, it's really refreshing to see an old classic punching above the newbies..
Ssh was the first strain I bought on my first visit to the dam about 25 years ago now, and this stuff hits me in exactly the same way.
Kudos to spacemen for letting us get our hands on this, and an appeal to all growers to revisit the classics..
Would love to see some white widow, northern lights or ak47 again. Maybe I just need to jump on a plane and revisit the dam!

Personally didn’t think much of this ssh. Found it pretty bland and weak. There are much better examples of the strain elsewhere.

yup, 1st order from a vendor matters, once trust has been built mistakes can be made and forgotten about.
For me it’s a few things…
Good name and branding make it easier to remember sellers, e.g. TSM who even use custom space themed baggies with different designs. Sellers with names like “ukgrower194” with no logo and send products in plain packaging are less memorable on this front.

Really impressed with this shake. Strong, fresh aroma, and there’s a surprisingly good amount of actual bud in the mix. Smokes nicely and gives a decent high. Definitely one of the better shakes out there!

I wasn't trying to be a dick or anything its just a good while back my same mate who grew the z33 landed us some jungle boys Zak's pie that I'm NGL they classed as a "failed batch" an even to this day its still easily some of the best bud I've ever seen unfortunately sometimes LB can be the Temu version of weed an that's what happened there I did get a full refund thou an pretty sure I amended the review afterward as I thought fair one least they're kind of acknowledging the error of their ways but I find it best not to feed into any vendor wars or negativity some of these guys are relentless and are clearly operating on a huge scale not simply doing it for the love of the medicine best advice just let the product do the talking the experience buyer's on Here seem to be able to see through the bull shit such a shame what's going on with cloud nine ATM really unfair their bud is spot on for the price quite a lot of smalls but he got back to me an said he's told the packers not to do this going forward so I rate him too

When strong bud with glass-y trichomes is vac sealed or pressed up against plastic with a little pressure for a enough time the resin kind of forms a glassy looking sheen, I vac sealed like a half oz of really keif-y haze once and all the buds that were touching the plastic had that glassy layer, looked very cool, probably that, usually a good sign, doesnt happen with cloudy/amber trichomes
Been some weird shit going on to new vendors here. Cloud Club had their score absolutely decimated by one sad cunt expecting AAA for Pennies.
Just to add to what the others have said.. only had samples off this guy so far but both were good quality and definitely no sign of being sprayed like is alleged in the review.

If you want just a little something special to test your tolerance, I heartily recommend the Piattella hash from Green Cat. NDD and around 69% THC. I thought I had a decent tolerance ,but this stuff tested me - in a good way!
I keep mine in the freezer and break off bits into a joint quickly - it's the stickiest substance known to man! (but hits like nothing else out there) Tread lightly as it's a grower! ✌️

I don't watch much comedy but I do Scifi.
Foundation - based on Asimov book series and one of the best sci-fi series I've seen. It's pretty deep and cerebral looking at the fall of a future civilization. The series is vast in both size and time.
Silo - I've not caught up with series 3 yet. It looks at the small cluster of human life living underground in a post apocalyptic world.
Humans - UK series about robot evolution. It worked amazingly well as it looks at how we'd treat a race of robots if they achieved sentience. Probably one of the most thoughtful series I've seen on this subject.
The Expanse - This works with the likely harsh reality of humans living and moving through space - unlike most space series that invent useful tech to solve storytelling problems. IE beam me up Scotty.
Severance - a really engaging critique of the corporate world and the bullshit of work / life balance. It's deeply thoughtful as a series.

TV show out at the moment called Widows Bay. Darky funny folk horror, Very funny, little creepy, great fun
bad news bears - classic 70's comedy movie about a kids' baseball team. starring walter matthau and tatum o'neal. back in the days when a kids movie could include swearing and general being mean to each other, in a very funny and sweet way. only watched it last week for the first time, and loved it :-)

Received these today, not had chance to smoke either yet but thought I’d put up a quick post to come back to.
The items were well packaged, double vacuum sealed and inside a padded envelope. Sent via RM 24 tracked and arrived promptly.
Photo is showing the Cherry Mochi on the left and the Black Cherry Gelato on the right.
The Mochi comes across as a really solid-looking flower. Dense and well-formed buds with a nice amount of visible trichome coverage and a darker, frosty appearance. Overall, the presentation is very impressive and it looks like a properly grown and well-cured flower.
The Black Cherry Gelato has a slightly more vibrant appearance, with green tones, darker areas and plenty of visible trichomes. The buds are dense and nicely packed together, it has a classic premium-bud appearance.
Both look and smell great, I will add some more feedback when I get chance to smoke them.

Had chance to properly sample them now, both nice smokes and strong. I would say the Mochi is a well balanced high and the Black Cherry is slightly more sedating. Both very good and would purchase in the future!

Thanks for all the comments everyone. Forgot to out a cut off time and still getting lots of guesses this morning. As such, here's the cut off: no more after midday 26/7/26. Has anyone else had trouble getting there orders off this vendor? No delivery 1st time 2nd time all I got was a empty brown envelope and only held together with a small piece of sellotape not even licked sealed?now the vendor is wanting proof I never received my product?

Both times it was in a padded envelope with no cellotape, vacuum sealed and placed in a box inside the envelope.

I'm sure this vendor started a topic about items going missing last week and problems with royal mail? I placed an order for a sample and never received it but did receive the reshipped order but there was holes in the envelope but i have revived empty envelope before ( from another vendor) these things happen and are unfortunate, but best to try and fix it as nobody wants disputes, I think the buyer has been unfortunate here .hopefully the vendor fixs this before that happens though

I'd love to see some of this stuff man! Someone mentioned a "stock counter" idea recently too and I think that'd be great, especially for smaller vendors like myself. If I could put in exactly how much I had, and then have that number go down automatically as things are sold, that'd be pretty helpful for both me and the customer. Although, now that I think about it, bigger vendors may have multiple kilos of any one product at any time, and that may not be something to advertise!
Either way, I'd love to see some more improvements come to LB, whatever they may be!

That is true! Even if the buyer just saw "running low" on a specific item it'd be a bit more helpful

This topic is super old. Development round here is pretty much non existent.

LB Backroom boys are still staring at the square wheel every day and wondering why it goes clump clump clump as they try to move forward. Many Biggas over the years have suggested trying a round version and whilst remaining sceptical they have promised to put a team on it sometime in the future….
I'm just not even sure what the site structure is. Are there admins actively working on it? Or just moderators to manually remove bad accounts and suchlike?

You are right. The Zen way is to focus and rejoice on what Biggy does so well for all of us rather than fixating and moaning about those many things it does badly.

Yeah and thats a really good thing. Nothing wrong pushing for improvements and offering practical help. It just goes wrong when Biggas fly into a rage when nothing happens. (And generally, nothing happens. That said in the last few years we have gained a Keyword Search and a multiple buy cart both of which have made life much easier. So it can happen, just slowly).
The only complications I could foresee depend on the type of database being used and how the data is structured
