Dose anyone have any methods for heating up a cart safety

I need something I can recommend to people it's only like a 1 in 20 thing but when these carts sit stored for a little bit they do need a bit of help coming back to life

Previously I just said she's a stubborn girl and she needs a bit of foreplay but I have nothing to prescribe to sort out the situation

Full Time Vaper

I've become a full time vaper. I didn't really mean to but it's happened and for the time being I'm staying with it.

I'd been looking for a new dry herb vape that ticked all my personal boxes for a while and I finally took the plunge.

My Previous Vape

I've had the X Max V3 Pro for a while. As I used to smoke joints it was only used occasionally. When I moved onto vaping full time I bought the glass mouthpiece for it and a pack of the overpriced metal dosing capsules. Honestly as a starter vape it's been brilliant. It lacks a bit of oomph and the battery drains quite quick on a longer session. I don't know how well other vapes at the same price perform but I'd happily recommend it as a starter and I think it'd be fine for a light user. Happy to hear people's opinions on that.

The biggest annoyance is battery life. I could blitz through the battery in no time which meant I was faffing with charging it all the time. I bought a spare battery but then you have to charge two batteries for a session and swap them about which is logistically more complicated than I can cope with while blazing.

My Criteria For a New Vape Purchase

- I wanted something portable / hand held. It won't go on many voyages but it needed to be more discreet than a desktop thing with a long tube that looks like it could be used for colonic irrigation or a balloon filling station like Krusty the Clown would have.

- I wanted something where the battery would last me a whole evening so no faffing with repeat charging.

- It needed to be flavour focused with a glass mouthpiece. The glass mouth tubes on the X-Max improved both flavour and feel so I wanted to stick with that.

- I prefer a session mode vape too. I'll never sip on demand. If it goes in the vape, it's getting ripped now. I don't do micro doses.

These are always slightly hilarious but ultimately worthwhile to check out and helped me with my choosing process. The thing I especially like is that the reviewer is committed to getting stoned while filming themselves and attempting to sound intelligent all at the same time. In some small way I guess I know how they feel - but at least I can hide my red eyes and giggles when I'm doing a write-up.

What Did I Choose?

I chose the Arizer Solo 2 Max.

This one seemed to tick all my boxes. There's an upgraded and more expensive version - the Solo 3 - which I didn't choose as I think the solo 2 is probably powerful enough for my needs and it saved me £100 over the version 3. Maybe I'll change my mind and upgrade in the future.

Slow Chugger

I like to slowly chug through my bud and change flavours quite frequently so I felt that I didn't really need either the extra load capacity of the solo 3 nor the extra power to blitz my buds more speedily.

However if you smoke in a group or you still like to cain it like a teenager then I can see how the upgraded version might be better for you. It also looks like the interface and display is significantly better on version 3 - more on that below.

About The Solo 2 Max

I've been living with the Solo 2 Max for a while now and I really love using it. It feels like the spliff smoking days are behind me. I look forward to my vape sessions just as much as I used to look forward to smoking a few joints. It took a little while to adapt but I genuinely do enjoy it now.

The Solo 2 comprises two main parts - the battery / oven base unit and a separate glass mouthpiece which also holds the bud. I bought three extra 90mm mouthpieces with the caps and tubes to hold them in so I can line a few up ready to use. I'll probably buy some more of these too as it's handy having some pre-filled. It came with a 110mm stem but the shorter 90mm stems seem better to me - not least as they're easier to clean.

In Use

You load bud into the tail end of the special glass mouth tubes, then put this end into the battery oven. It holds in place pretty well with the small seal in the round oven opening and the glass tubes are exceptional at not transmitting the heat from the oven to your mouth. This creates a glass only vapour path so it doesn't taint the flavour.

When you remove the stems while still hot from the oven, one end is full uncle-Bernie and the other end is still pretty cold to the touch. It's easier to empty bud from the tubes when they're warm as the vaped oils get gluey when cold but are still slidey when warm.

Sometimes when you remove the tubes you spill a little bit of used bud into the oven chamber. Obviously this never happened with capsules on the X-Max which are very easy to use. It's easy to clean but it's another thing to be aware of as you don't want to scum up your oven.

It takes about 30 - 40 seconds for the device to heat up so it's ready to turn your buds into vapour. If you leave it a bit longer you get thicker clouds. If you attack it early you get a bit more flavour. I tend to run it between 180c - 196c. It's rare that I venture over 200c and doing so will start to blacken the bottom of the buds as they get slightly combusted by the oven heat. It really kicks out some significant heat.

No Timer

One thing I don't like is the lack of a countdown timer. The X-Max used to show a countdown so you knew how much time you had left. I guess a spliff burning down naturally shows a visual display of your smoking time eroding and I'd liked this time replication display more than I'd realised.

The Solo 2 can have a session time set from 5 - 15 minutes but it keeps the countdown timer a secret. It's a small thing but it does irk me a little. There's certainly enough screen space for a timer display. I'm probably going to buy a silent timer like a sand timer or something.

Clunky Start Up

The other small thing is the start up sequence. To turn it on you need to fat finger the up and middle buttons at the same time for two seconds (you can set this to a longer time but I've no idea why you would). When it turns on you then need to set a temperature before it starts heating up. This second bit I often forget. I guess it's a habit and I'll change. The X-Max starts up on a long press and then leaps straight into action using the same settings from when it was turned off. This is a much nicer user experience especially later into a session when you're baked and anything that simplifies your life feels like a bonus.

Serious Power

The battery life on the Solo 2 is unreal and I've not managed to drop it lower than 20% from a full charge even when using it all day. The glass tubes make cleaning very easy - even easier than with the dosing capsules of the X-Max.

Lovely Flavours

The flavour is lovely and consistent. This was the thing I was most concerned about but it delivers more flavour more reliably than the X-Max. Ultimately this was the most important aspect for me as the little X-Max does deliver a decent flavour initially.

Other than the timer display limitations noted earlier and a clunkier start up sequence, the Arizer Solo 2 Max is an upgrade to the X-Max in every other way. It produces bigger clouds of flavour filled vapour for longer. It's easier to clean and feels really nice to use and handle. It's constructed from aluminium and glass so it feels a very solidly built unit in your hand.

Vaping Weed

So that's me vaping for the foreseeable future. It took me a little while to fully convert but I'm really enjoying vaping my buds now. I probably wouldn't have stopped smoking if it was not for some health issues as I'd always enjoyed smoking joints but the vaping feels like a new chapter to continue my stoner life.

This is now my 3rd attempt at making cannabis infused edible gummies , the first batch i did with pre made sugar sweets that i still have , the dosage if off on them , the second batch i did using gummy molds with gelatin expired within 2 days after making them. About 80grams down and im going to retry soon with 112grams of shake, how much gelatin & lecithin will i need and should i be adding coconut oil to the infusion or? I had an idea to melt down midget gem sweets add in the infused weed-coconut oil and then use that mixture to put them into the molds but i dont want them to expire. PLEASE HELP BIGGAS💀

Is This a Thing?

I don't know if this is a common thing or not but I've decided to make vaped weed cookies.

My Vaped Weed

The weed that's been through my vape has had about 6 mins of vape time. Usually around 180c-200c. I don't vape much and when I do I'm still a flavour chaser so don't vape it that long - I guess. I've been stockpiling it for a short while so there's a wide mixture of bits in there. I weighed it up at a very handy and familiar number of 3.5g of browny coloured strands and dust.

The Theory

So the theory is that locked away in my vaped weed is THC that I've paid for but not enjoyed yet. And that I shall be able to extract it using nothing but heat and margarine. That's the science here.

Preparation

Yes. Preparation. You need more of this than I did. I wrote the steps below on the fly then wrote this introduction afterwards. I guess it's a very Tarantino way to deliver a topic but it will make sense if you read through.

Firstly, you probably want to make sure you actually have enough cookie mixture before you start. More on that later. Also required are a cheesecloth or other strainer, a pan, a baking tray, greaseproof paper, vaped weed, and an oven which needs preheating to 190c or whatever your cookie mix packet tells you to. And some margarine or butter.

Step 1

I melted a couple of spoons of margarine in a stainless steel pan until it was hot but not bubbling. A strong start.

Step 2

Then I chucked the vaped weed in. I kept it hot but removed it from the heat if it bubbled. Then put it back on the heat. Over and over. I did that until I got bored. Probably just a few minutes. I stirred it a bit too.

I figure, and I'm happy to be corrected, that the hot oil in the marg will likely mop up THC and other compounds quite rapidly. But please chime in if you know the science around this.

Step 3

Then I let it cool off slightly as I think boiling margarine will probably be quite hot to touch. This is a safety step. If you do happen to burn yourself doing this then maybe cookery ain't for you. Don't blame me. We are all adults here.

Step 4

I ordered cheesecloth from eBay. To be fair I did this in advance. If you wait until step 4 before doing this it probably won't go so well. If you don't have cheese cloth then use what you do have like a sieve or put pin holes in tinfoil. I'll write an introduction so this is less of a surprise.

The cheesecloth actually works well and I got most the liquid margarine, which is now a nice dark colour, squeezed out of by twisting it and squishing it with my fingers. I also got loads on my hands and lots of other places. It's a messy process. At least for me.

Step 5

Now it's time to mix the (cooled) margarine with the cookie mix. At this point I hit a wee snag. I don't have enough cookie mix. I'll definitely add a paragraph at the beginning of this about what you need to prepare - or what I should have prepared.

The mixture is now brown liquidy stuff. No chance of making cookies from it. It has not gone well. In the cupboard I do have a brownie mix so I added this to rescue this project and bulk it out into a dough.

You'll know when you have the consistency right as it'll be like sticky dry breadcrumbs. Once it's like that you can grab some in your hands and roll it into a ball of dough in your palms. I have a mixture of brownies and cookies. Brookies.

Step 6

I took my two brookie dough balls and popped them onto greaseproof paper on a baking tray. The oven was another thing I'd prepared in advance by switching it on. It is becoming clear that I shall never have my own cooking channel. The brookies went into the oven for 8 minutes. They probably needed a minute less or less heat.

Step 7

You need to remove them from the oven. Again, anyone who needs to be informed of this should probably stick to deliveroo for meals. Don't try eating hot cookies off a baking tray with your head in a 190 degrees oven folks. Oh... I probably should have mentioned the temperature earlier. I'll definitely add all this in. I didn't choose the temperature specifically though. I'm sure the packet probably has better instructions than me so follow most of that.

Anyway, remove them from the oven and then let them settle. If you mess with cookies straight out the oven they tend to disintegrate. Once cooled a bit they will solidify into biscuits.

Step 8

I have two vaped weed brookies. Now I've got to eat one. I've no idea if it's going to blow my head off or just be a bad tasting biscuit. Maybe both. But we won't know until later.

Let's See If This Was A Good Idea

It's actually a tasty biscuit. Either the vaped taste is covered or just not massive. No terrible aftertaste either. It's not like a brownie or a cookie and more like a cheap chocolate biscuit. It's how you'd expect a biscuit to taste if nesquick made them. At least it's edible. Now all I can do is wait. I'll be back in a bit and hope that it's not just to tell you to ignore the previous 8 steps.

Nothing Yet But My Weedy Sense Is Tingling

I'm impatient. I think that the brookie is starting to take effect as I've squinty eyes and a little cheeky grin forming for no reason at all. That could just be as I'm pleased with my own stupidity. Give me half an hour and I'll be back.

One Hour In

Okay. An hour is generally enough to judge and I've got a pretty solid heady buzz and a sedate effect from the brookies. It's not crazy strong but I'm definitely aware that I've had some edibles.

There's a part of me that feels my Grandma, who never lost her war-time habit to save, economise, and maximise everything, would feel proud of this moment. I have extracted some added value from something. This is a happy day. I also believe I'm getting incrementally stoned as time progresses too. I'll check back later. Although not on poor old Grandma. She's been buried for years now. The brookies would really need to be bloody powerful to change that.

90 mins in

Space. The final frontier. Nah - that's where I thought I might be headed but while there's no doubt proof of residual unused and perfectly decarbed THC in my vaped weed, it's not put me in a crazy place where I'm pacing back and forth in my garden only stopping to sigh.

My house really smells of weed. I'm used to making RSO edibles and vaping in the house but this process has really made my whole house smell like a cannabis factory. I'm definitely quite stoned too. It's a dopey hit. Clumsy and heady too. I need tea.

However I'm also eating the other one. You know the drill. Give me an hour and I'll be back. Unlike poor old Grandma. Perhaps she wouldn't be so proud of me picking on her for this topic. I don't usually find this subject so funny so there's undeniable happiness in this cost-cutting and money saving exercise to maximise your vaped weed into edibles. This is probably how she felt about saving lard from the Sunday roast.

Few Hours Later

I got a bit sidetracked. I had a few absolutely massive headrushes and was a bit stoned as I pottered around some basic tasks. Overall the vaped weed has done well. It's not as strong nor as long lasting as my favoured RSO but as a little bonus from existing vaped weed I'd say this was a winner. The buzz isn't as clean either and the best way I can describe it is as clumsier with unexpected headrushes.

It Works

So it works. I guess if you vape your weed til its charred then it probably won't. But for me, there's clearly enough goodness left in my vaped weed for a little bonus. Does anyone do this routinely?

I'm wondering how people select what it is they're going to buy?
Is it by recommendations, reviews, habit, loyalty, keywords? I have had cheaper stuff nicer than dearer stuff. I've even had 10/10 stuff where people moan on the reviews which seemed odd. I get it's subjective but it's so difficult to truly know whats the nicest weed on here without obviosuly comparing everything. I'm wondering why people choose what they do when making an order?

I recently saw a comment about one of the vendors I use. It was along the lines of using weed steroids for growing and the side effects of smoking this weed.

I class myself as a heavy smoker, up to 2oz a month, so get through it.
I have been getting really bad headaches for weeks, with most of my weed from one specific vendor. I initially thought it was my Lymes, as I've recently been diagnosed, but then I saw this comment about weed steroids and side effects.
My next order was from a different vendor and have been smoking this for at least 2 weeks and my headaches have gone.

I guess I'm trying to establish which vendors sell steroid free weed, or vice versa so I know who to avoid.

Edit: I've just seen the pgr thread, so reading that.
