alternative future currencies
we agree with many of you requesting some alternatives to bitcoin and it is a future we have committed to.

the primary issue is lb buyers easy access to the currency, worldwide. it is still much easier to buy btc, especially with a credit card, than any alternative.

any suggestions on how lb buyers can easily obtain alternative cryptos is helpful at this stage, thank you for them.
+13
transaxe support
thank you for the suggestions. the winner is litecoin. integration with the little biggy order system is pending approval from the dev borg.
+4
transaxe support
we are informed that little biggy will integrate litecoin. we are working on our side of this now. we don't promise dates because we can not launch this on our own, for prices to appear and orders to be recognised we need the little biggy dev borg to add significant code on the lb website and back end.

we also consider the prospect of the next blockchain slowdown, these occurrences create significant work requirements that deter development. this is why we look forward to litecoin more than anyone.

How is this not the most popular thread right now? BTC is going to be unfeasible to use soon as sending fees will rocket. Offering a choice of crypto really needs to happen soon please. And it will only happen with support.
+2
titntin
I've never paid more than £1 fee on any trade using bitcoins (well over 5K spent on LB) and completely disagree that its unfeasible.
If biggy wishes to offer another option, no issues as long as the current option remains.
If biggy shifted to another crypto, I would shift my business and simply buy on the dark web where BTC is an option.
+1
Nickm
Sure, but it's not an either/or choice. LB could offer multiple crypto options. Quite surprised this hasn't been the case.
Anyhow, let's hope this dev borg entity gets his shit together while the website still exists.

My thoughts exactly, it took me ages to find a btc system that works, there is a way round anything and smart adaptable people will always find that way, i guess you get frustrated like me at cry's of new currency, i welcome change as long as btc stays as i like my system and pay around £2 which includes buying btc and sending to vendor, i would not be happy if LB ditched btc either mate.

FROM A FEES AND EASE OF ACCESS POINT OF VIEW LITECOIN AND MONERO SHOULD BE ADDED

BOTH CAN BE EXCHANGED FOR BTC ON MOST WELL KNOWN EXCHANGES OR INSIDE MOBILE WALLETS LIKE COINOMI.

THERE ARE ALSO OPTIONS SUCH AS LOCALMONERO.CO FOR BUYING MONERO DIRECTLY

Agreed, litecoin remains easily accessible with much more agreeable fees

Unfortunately it would be hard to please everyone with the addition of just one other crypto but it would be a huge benefit to the site no matter,
Speaking as a vendor we have a couple of preferences from a financial point but we are open to change and are happy with the concensus.
As we look at the point of the customer we agree with GF although we don't know how easily available dodgecoin is outside of Europe we know it is accessible without having to purchase btc but as we said we are open to any changes and happy to help with any feedback.
Thank you :)

Every other market seems to offer monero (XMR) as an option so I'd say LB really needs to add that at the least.
+1
goldman sucks
where can you buy monero with a credit card?
+2
zz87
I don't know mate I buy all my BTC via transfer and would prob do same for any other crypto but I think there'll be exchanges that let you top up by cc then buy monero if you can't buy direct by cc.

Main reason I mentioned xmr was just that as well as adding an extra option if it's in use elsewhere then that means there are buyers and sellers using it that might come here if its added.

The key to beating the fee's is options though so be great if they can add a few choices.

changely used to do it but they backed off of it. the tax people hate its guts so they have pressured the exchanges.

We think with the problems with the BTC market right now seems the appropriate time to make changes we would always still accept BTC but more options are necessary to continue normal business,
Surely other vendors feel the same and customers seem to be screaming for Monero and Litecoin we have had customers messaging us personally about alternative currencies its very frustrating,
If transaxe is set up for BTC then it can't be to difficult to add additional currencies, the whole team here at CI agree we are willing to do anything in our power to help on our side and we are sure other vendors here feel the same :)

We are in exactly the same boat. We've been trying to cashout since Thursday last week. Unable to move funds from our wallet due to all the unconfirmed transactions sat there from Transaxe, all the while btc prices have dropped from 45k last week to 39k, frustrating doesnt come close!!

We have noticed that the rate all transactions are sent from Transaxe is 15 sats/b. The average rates right now are 234 sat/b for 6 blocks (normally received in 1 hour). There is no wonder the funds aren't confirming and are bouncing back.

From a vendors point of view, something really does need to be done about this sharpish.

It is more then frustrating we do agree but we try to keep calm and plow on LB have said Litecoin is on the way so hopefully these problems will be a thing of the past,

Still very concerning for all the payments we have pending and the addiction funds we have waiting to be released from escrow,

We aren't to clued in at all on the crypto scence so everyones knowledge is priceless it one of the reasons we love this community but something definitely needs to be done now as you say URBANLEAFCO this simply cannot continue for value we have lost on our coin in the past week fees simply could have been increased,

Its now at the stage where we are considering suspending operations until this delay is all sorted which does nothing but effect all parties negatively :/
+4
URBANLEAFCO
Thats all we can do, i think i have probably got the support teams at our wallets suicidal these last few days lol.

We're a lot more clued up than we were before this debacle though, its opened our eyes to how much things could be improved. Hopefully this clusterfuck rights itself soon.

thanks for the feedback everyone, we would greatly appreciate direct links to the exchanges that support the currencies you mention.

"please do not use little biggy for external transactions, this results in reputation loss and expulsion"

i get that message when trying to add links. in fact i seem to be getting that mesage for just mentioning exchanges :/

Happened to me too, yesterday when I was trying to make a comment. I tried to offer advice to a newb and mentioned localbtc services and blckchain wallet. I sent a message to happy borg about it.

Where are we at with this? The problem is becoming greater and I think most people have agreed that Litecoin fits the bill since it is very freely available, very cheap to transact and just generally fits the bill for a p2p payment system. Bitcoin really does not work in that capacity anymore or defintiely not the way it is set up here.

Literally not been able to move my money prior the big dump because of the way transactions are grouped. It is ridiculously frustrating and something I have been complaining about for months. Every other marketplace has an alternative now, this is the only place that doesn't.

Doge?
As easy as it is to buy BTC, well known exchanges such as binance, will allow you to convert for free.
You do have the high volatility issue at the moment though until it establishes a stable foothold.

There are many coins that are easily exchanged from BTC, in Europe anyway, am not sure about the rest of the world.

Please inform us of the timescale involved with the transition. It would be nice to have some idea.

Litecoin is available through coinbase, bit panda, bittylicious amongst many other sources directly using GBP/EUR. Seems to be an obvious candidate which meets the needs of what most people have mentioned here.
I don't even own any LTC currently but it would be super easy to get hold of and I would be fully confident and happy doing so. Hopefully this can get actioned soon as I'm sure most vendors and buyers are miss out on items/sales due to the functionality of BTC atm :(

Puff
LB should have the options for BTC, LTC & ETH.. every crypto user can purchase and transfer at least one of these if not all, 100% of all exchanges trade in these currencies, LTC & ETH are much cheaper and transaction fees lower..

Hello, xrp or xlm would be a good option to use, low fees to send money and rapid transactions:)

I usually buy litecoin and send it to my exodus wallet, transfer fees are just a few pence. Then I convert it to btc usually about 4% cost, then purchase on LB with the btc fee between 5 and 20%. I can purchase litecoin on wirex or bcbitcoin.co.uk, both need photo verification but once that is done its easy. I'm based in the UK.

If you worry other world customers you can still keep bitcoin also add litecoin in for me it just an update , it not hard thing to do right ?

I'm on three exchanges and none of them sells Monero, so please don't use that.

I would vote for LTC as it's as easy to get as BTC.

My preferable currency would be stellar lumens XML, it's super cheap and super quick to transfer
