I felt like I had to talk to someone about this.
The other night when tripping, in my minds eye, aliens were staring at me and it felt like they were examining/tinkering with me (in a non violatary way).
I found out the next day that Terrence McKenna believed psychadelics could have been distributed on earth by sentient aliens in order to accelerate sentience in hominids.
Anybody else have these sorts of experiences when using psys?

Blade Runner (Director's Cut) . Incredible atmosphere, with an insane soundtrack, with one of the best scripts ever. The first time I watched it I had no idea what to expect and walked away with my mind blown. It seems that the replicants have more empathy, kindness and understanding than the actual humans in their universe. That tears in the rain speech is probably my favourite piece of cinema, next to the ending of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

Still not readily available in physical format, I don't think. There was also a book released, which had nothing to do with the film other than being a book about dragons written by the main character of the film, which also featured in a library in the film. I have a 1st edition.

If you've never seen it, it's well worth watching. 90 minutes or so, and quite adult in theme. James Earl Jones is one of the wizards in it, and the actors are all of similar high quality. Available in full on some sort of tube that you could access, apparently...

200 mics is going to be very strong, especially if you’ve not done it before.
Personally, I would save it for a nice sunny day, when you have nothing else to do, and do half each with a willing buddy. Have a couple of spliffs handy, and go for a walk in the woods, fields or a beach etc…

If you've never taken it, 200 may be a tad strong. However, if its a nice spring day and you have nothing to do, take it and go for a wander for a few hours ( effects should only last around 6-8 hours) and I know you mentioned you quit smoking but having a few spliffs at hand definitely helps calm the ride.

Like everyone else has mentioned go with a quarter/half for sure, the only thing I would add is make sure you take it when you feel 100% comfortable/excited to take it. Any sort of fear/anxiety you have about the trip will more than likely come out in the trip but way way stronger. Even outside anxiety can creep into your trip, so the better your general wellbeing/mood the better your trip will be.
I also would advise just to have one friend with you just in case things go south or even a 3rd friend who is happy not taking it. Other than that go enjoy it mate, I tried most of the social/party drugs back in the day and if there is one I really miss it is lsd. Some of the most mesmerising trips I have ever had, makes real life feel black and white.

haha everyone who has done acid before remembers their first time. I took one 250ug tab on my own at my parents house and was chilling. second time I did it I had an unpleasant trip but I found at such a low dose you can pull urself back from spiralling pretty easy. I put the tab under my tongue for maybe 10 mins or so and then swallowed it. 40-60 mins after it started to kick in.
acid is a wild ride so strap in and make sure you're ready because for 10 hours you won't even be able to sleep. I recommend creating a journal whether physical or through something like videos but overall just have a great trip.

My first trip was 2 x double dip strawberries, i still have vivid memories 35 years later, my second was 3 x tabs and i burned my hands grabbing the carpet for hours on end as i was about to shoot through the roof i was so high!
My last was 4 years ago. Bought truffles in Rotterdam, got bus to Hannover and had the worst trip ever in a budget hotel!
Im very much in the "fuck it" camp, on the basis that im being a twat so you don't have to.

Weird thing is I recently did the same. Was looking to buy gummies and god knows how ended up buying a 200ug paper. I did a lot of acid back in the early 70s. Tabs cut with speed, microdots, blotting paper etc. Haven't touched it in over 50 years (I'm 70 now) and hadn't planned to ever again. Now I have it sitting on my mantlepiece looking at me and daring to me do it again. I'm not that tempted to be honest. Will be interested to hear your experience though.

Excellent advice here. Have you ever taken shrooms? If not, then cut that tab in half before it goes under your tongue. LSD can last up to 12 hours, so plan for that. Also you'll have residual altered thoughts for a while after that. As has been mentioned, you're never the same again after taking your first high dose of psychedelics, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

It feels like freedom and a real step forward. We waited long, but it was worth the wait. Enjoy with me top shelf Banana Punch from local grower. Also, we dont have any THC limit.

Is this really real? I've spent years watching guys highlighting scams in Praha, and one of the things was 'weed shops' and selling things that tourists thought were THC, but they weren't, and they were hospitalised? Was this something that locals ever had happen, or was it very well known? I'm assuming it was disingenuous marketing and things on the cusp of legality before this change?

But there are also gen-z kids, which fell in love with these shitty substances. I call it substances, because its not tested and whoever can cut it with whatever they have available. Its not regulated and mostly operated as company under homeless mens IDs.

If they don't speak English they're local? I've only been to Prague twice, and the last time was a good 20+ years ago. We had a 3 course meal for 5 adults and 2 kids in a French restaurant in a side street that we stumbled across, and I swear that with wine and drinks it was only around £100/€120. Absolutely crazy. Even then I noticed loads of cannabis seed infused vodka in shop windows.

We will not have coffee shops. Next target is clubs like Spain or Germany, but who knows how long it takes. What is really nice about it? Almost all growers are out of jail since 1.1. and in next 4-6 months we will be again support them🥰

Jesus. This has hit me really hard. I’ve been smoking weed for 30 years. 11 weeks ago I had a huge (tennis ball sized) lump pop out of my neck. Dr diagnosed me as having an infection of the parotid gland (saliva gland). Antibiotics for a week, lump hung around for a month.
Had an ultrasound scan 3 weeks ago, turns out it’s a tumour 😞 Stopped smoking that day. 30 years crashed down on me during that one 15 min appointment.
Was immediately put in the NHS suspect cancer 2 week pathway. Had an FNA (biopsy) and an MRI scan 2 weeks ago. Here I am, awaiting the news. Avoided googling the shit outta this, then stumble across this post. Blown me away a bit. I mean, we all know smoking isn’t big or clever, but this has been the biggest wake up call of my life, obviously.
I am part of a very reputable profession, married for 25 years, 4 kids. The works. Here I am, absolutely petrified waiting on a phone call.

We believe it's the smoking that is the problem..you cannot get away from the dangers! But working with cannabis oil doesn't yield the unwanted effects and works as the plant intended. Can even yield the psychedelic effects and change things on a spiritual level way more than smoking! We believe in it as a psychedelic medicine just like our medicine! It has the power to change lives :-) Get well soon brother! You can change things around with changing your mind ;)

Like I touched on, I’m (usually!) a rational person, but I haven’t googled anything about this. My wife has tho, a lot, she works within the NHS and has spoken to people in this field. We have an unspoken understanding atm and not really discussing it at all. Her mum passed away very young with a cancer in her neck, I know she’s in bits about this. This is breaking me inside.
It’s a weird limbo we’re in, just waiting for the test results. Should be this week by the looks. My gp phoned me Thursday just gone and explained who is looking at it and where, and the process of diagnosis.
The thought of facial surgery scares the bejesus outta me, but the thought of it not being malignant makes it more bearable.

So I have smoked weed with tobacco for these 30 years. Smoked cigarettes in the 90s, early 00s, then rolling tobacco. Never a ‘heavy’ fag smoker really, but a heavy joint smoker through (weed and tobacco). Bought a mighty vape last year in an effort to kick my combustion habbit. Used it twice as I really didn’t get in with it. Not smoked anything since my scan that confirmed a tumour, 4 weeks ago. Never found quitting so easy. Currently enjoying the benefits of not having a dependency of any sorts for the first time in my adult life. Felling a better dad and husband for it tbh.

Just to add to all the brilliant advice here; alcohol has been found to be considerably carciogenic if you can abstain it will massively help. Avoiding anything processed or containg high amounts of sugar will encourage better health and if you subscribe to the school of thought that suggests cancer cells thrive on glucose it may even help with reducing or preventing cancerous growth.
Mate, sending you all the best for good news. My friend just went through this and is out the other side after having it removed. Was scary for her waiting on the results, and then getting the face surgery. But she's all good now and has a sick scar to show for it. Sending all my best thoughts your way.

I know so many people already preach and I don't just wanna be another one, but dry herb vapes truly are a great way to consume. Bud lasts longer, tastes better AND you get avb to use in edibles at the end! I'll still be bongin' and spliffin' it up but it's great to have so many options nowadays
No doubt dry herb vaping is almost certainly way better in terms of health risks than smoking (I also do it as well as edibles). On the other hand, the research on the health risks for dry herb vaping is still extremely limited. Inhaling hot particulates (which still happens with vaping) tends to be no bueno for health.
Very true. We're still kind of in the infancy of cannabis research. We know the long term effects of cigarettes and alcohol but, with the legality of weed over the years, we've still got so many unanswered questions about it. And dry herb vapes really haven't been around that long either. I just hope that we get some conclusive answers in our lifetimes...
I think carts are going to prove a massive roadblock for cannabis development and freedom because of growing health concerns. WithTHCA, D8 & D10 workarounds these are available all across N.America now and the demand is huge with consumers able to puff through 1ml carts or more every single day. Chemical contamination is rife. These things ARE addictive. California is reporting rapidly increasing needs for specialist pulmonary treatments amongst all ages and new clinics are opening rapidly.

As much as I want to believe that the convenience and discretion of carts is a positive thing, sadly you're 100% spot on. People doing blinkers and landing themselves in hospital isn't an uncommon occurrence in the US, I think seby G (weedtuber) had an incident like that. People going through a gram of 90%+ THC distillate in a day is just insane on so many levels. And as far as contaminants, I 100% believe there's more contaminated carts in the world than legit ones. By a big margin. From pesticides and vitamin E acetate all the way up to spice-laden disposables now prevalent across the UK. It's really a worrying trend and the demand for carts is going up by the day.....

I wouldn't be surprised at all tbh, 900mg of pure THC every single day cannot be a good thing. Plus there's no entourage effect with disty carts, which is good for some but I personally think the other terps and cannabinoids are what "makes" a high. Even so, rosin/live resin carts must still have 70%+ THC a lot of the time. Overconsumption is the worst thing anyone can do with weed imo, stay within your limits and enjoy it! Don't just get to an 11/10 high all day every day

I love vaping more then smoking but I've found I go through it quicker when I vape. Are you a consistent and daily vaper?
Pretty much, yeah, but I go through phases. I'll definitely go through more bud when vaping compared to bongs but joints not so much. The vape high is more enjoyable though in my opinion
Vaping flowers is deffo my fave way, I just find I go through it a bit!
I read recently that when we vape flowers the high effect dissipates faster then when you smoke it but you get a stronger thc high then you would smoking.

I like to smoke hash and haven't found much joy vaping in "traditional" vapes like the crafty and storm.
Dynavap gives a satisfying vape, with some wool, but makes me cough so much.

the trick to a dynavap is an adequate flame low down on the cap where the crimp is; keep the flame at a distance where the tip touches the cap as opposed to engulfing it. Turn the dynvap slowly not rapidly to ensure consistent heat distribution. Wait for the click and then immediately cut the flame. You should get two hits per chamber doing this. 1st one will be terpy, the 2nd one will be 'smokey'.
This post is probably super old but I've been using water filtering for all my smoking tools and it makes a world of difference.

The effect his pulling out of climate accords, NATO etc. will probably fuck us all.
