Hi Folks. I'm pretty old-school in my consumption choices ie weed or hash smoked neat in a small pipe. Gave up tobacco in joints years ago.
I'm curious to learn about new cannabis products and how to consume them.
What are dabs, how to they compare to what I already consume and how to I consume? Any response much appreciated. 👍

Hey mate, my advice for you would be to grab a little bit of any extract next time you put an order in and just add a tiny piece to the pipe bowl of flower, it will melt fast so think of the flower as a wick for the extract to burn with.
This will be a good enough way for you to try them without spending on any extra kit.

Comfortablenumbs advice is probably the best for a complete beginner. Top a bowl with extract first before spending lots of money on pens, rigs or e-rigs!

Concentrate/extract/dab whatever you want to call it, is basically efficiently filtered hash which should, in principal, be stronger than weed/trad commercial hash (caveat: garbage in equals garbage out but luckily most LB vendors sell high quality extracts). Unlike normal hash, extracts come in a variety of textures but are mostly the same in potency. The textures range from oil to waxy to 'boiled sweet' hardness (called shatter). As a beginner I would choose something easy to work with like, shatter, crumble or budder to avoid undue stickiness and waste (even these can be sticky, but hopefully the vendor's description or advice will help here!)

I highly recommend the Mixed Strain Sugar Wax from Certified, on promo, $50 for 3.5g - it is very good value for money, potent and the texture is very 'touch crumble trad hash' and is very easy to work with fingers. All our tolerances are different but a rice grain size is enough for me (roughly double+ the amount of trad hash would compare).

I actually like the Lightning Pen from Rec Vapes especially as it is considerably cheaper than a lot of other brands. It is a very good starting point if you want to vape pure extracts.

I also agree with using extracts sparingly, as tolerance builds up quickly and that 'one' rice grain size dab soon becomes many large dabs (and a very light wallet). Weed and 'occasional' extracts are my beer and 'occasional' whisky but each to their own - enjoy!

I too am new-ish to dabs and they are fantastic. Agree with the previous bigga, I wish I got a puffco over the lightening pen or whatever mine is called. In terms of downsides, I find they make me really tired and irritable a couple of hours after - WAY more than smoking/dry herb vaping. Found that out the hard way haha, I keep them for weekend nights now.

You can’t pay any anymore with it, the wallet must belong to you and to be in your name on you, or you must know the exact name of the person with the account.
The payment is stoned. And you can’t press send anymore. Even sending it to a Coinbase to yourself it fails to withdraw it returns you back to money so there’s no way to pay using Revolut anymore.

They can't tell who's wallet you are sending to mate, just send to an external wallet like Exodus or Coinomi first and state the name as your own. That way they just think you are sending to yourself.

They just have to ask those questions due to regulations but they can't tell who any particular wallet belongs to unless it has been KYC'd.

Maybe you have to add the Bitcoin address you are sending to as a contact beforehand? Never used Revolut so not certain but sounds like you've gone wrong somewhere mate.

All the big crypto exchanges have started asking for details on who you are sending to, to comply with TRUST regulations but you can just say it is your own wallet you are sending to.

not sure if this helps but now on blockchain you have to put in the btc address you are sending to then amount then it asks you to pick an exchange under the new travel rules(i usually use 24hour exchange) from a list and then it asks you where its being sent too and gives you 3 options myself,somebody else or a company, in that you just put Transaxe.com in the company box as that is who you are sending to not the vendor.
I was told by blockchain services its because they are trying to kill the bots that are doing btc to eth exchanges then doing eth back to btc and making money out of the exchanges think it was called arbritage or something like that have seen them being advertised on ptc faucet sites.

Hi All,
I am wanting to move from traditional smoking over to dry herb vaping.
I am very experienced with vaping in the nicotine sense but not with weed.
My main concern is that I am a very heavy user with a high tolerance and wont enjoy it as much/wont get the effects as well. I know in theory that vaping generated more thc in the vapour than burning produces in the smoke but who knows in the real world! :-)

Any advice on how it hits, decent devices to get etc please let me know. At the moment thinking something from Storz & Bickel.

In terms of quantity, I almost always smoke using what in my youth was called a shotty, pipe into water bottle basically, BUT that means very low usage vs. level of high already.
Any idea weight wise what you get through and how often you smoking that is?

Hey man, I was in a similar position transferring from smoking to dry herb vaping. Started with a dynavap then onto a mighty+, both great bits of kit with pros and cons for both. I ended up running the mighty through a little bubbler to make it smoother/cooler but still a little too harsh.
A friend suggested to try extracts, as that's essentially all you're trying to get at with vaping, the flower is just unwanted carriage.
So I bought a Coil king by crossing, absolute game changer, better high, smoother nicer more terpy hits. Also found it to be more economical as you can get nice extracts quite cheap on LB.
I use the whip from the mighty+ and a little bubbler and it chucks out clouds.
Also bought a Utillian 8 which is good but the coil king still rocks :)

Not sure how old this post is, but I thought I would add my setup into the mix.

I have a Stempod SI which connects to a bubbler using a glass reducer with a dry herb basket, and I have a Geek Vape Aegis which powers the heating element in the Stempod. I found that the Storz and Bickle devices use way too much herb, don't get the bud hot enough, and generaly don't get the best flavour.

I have always smoked using a bong, and this way, with a bubbler, the vape is much smoother than a direct hit. I can modify the temp to get the best flavour and effect out of each strain, as each flower generally requires different temps.

You have the option of using direct "stems", or tubes to inhale, but I have a selection of bubblers I use. From small travel bongs to larger more desk friendly ones.

One con of using this, is it takes a bit of time to get used to, and when you start using it, you may occasionally combust the flower. It didn't take long, but I haven't had a combustion in a couple of years and I wouldn't use any other method.

I've never looked back, and I hope you find what's right for you 👍

Yo, my thoughts on vaping generally? Cons: Waaaay harsher on my throat than smoking, not something that’s got better with time. Storz & Bickel devices are a hassle to clean. Propanalol is your only friend. Pros: It’s an investment, if it’s your daily driver it’ll pay itself back. You put less in than a j and it’s way stronger. You can even use your vaped bud a second time for a microdose, to make edibles, or as a tobacco substitute. So economical. There are spacers for extract/smaller doses.

I use the dosage caps as it keeps my device cleaner. I go through approx 1/2 oz and clean it every other week. I find 15-20mins at 185 deg C is optimal. Storz and Bickel has all the replacement parts you need. Theres even some unofficial glassware attachments for it. If in the uk don’t buy off the official site as you’ll get taxed massively upon import.

My first move into dry herb vaping was storz & bickel crafty. Pros of this device is it’s the most portable option. That’s where it ends really. App is useless for iPhone users, temp control and battery display on the app only shows once your buds done heating ??. You get maybe 3 uses from a charge and it takes hours to recharge.

Upgraded to venty a few months ago. Absolute dream. Bigger in size but the variable airflow is a game changer and the speed charger gets it to 80% in 40 mins. No need for the dumb app.

I’m considering trying a dynavap. No charging needed and far more portable. Less accurate temp.

Yo man, I switched to the Mighty a few years ago and I love it. I initially didn’t like the buzz compared the old flame method, but it grew on me and it’s all I use now (aside from dabs in another device and joints as a wee treat, both at the weekend - mighty for weekdays). You save so much on bud it’s incredible. You can really see the levels as well, for example bud at $60 a Q tends to get decent clouds for say 5-10 mins, whereas THC23 bud at $65 a 3.5 can get clouds for like 30 mins. It’s nuance you simply can’t appreciate with a flame as it all just burns up super quick. Absolute no brainer imo, it pays for itself within a couple of months and is obviously much better for you. Although I appreciate the switch can be a bit jarring.

As an ex bong smoker, and heavy joint/ blunt burner...the switch to vaping has been amazing. I use the Mighty, and have been for 3 years now...very pccasionaly I go back to the bong, then end up regretting it for a few hours trying to get the taste of smoke out of me again...

And it's ruined joints for me, they taste shite now compared to vaping.

As for potency- I literally notice no difference.
I used to think the bong hit was more instant than the vape, but I think it's the coughing causing a bit of a head rush instead.
After 15 minutes I honestly think there is zero difference in effect...just a much more pleasurable intake experience, vaping lets you really enjoy the terps.
I'll never go back!

I use an iolite 2.0 vape. It runs on gas and has proven to be reliable, effective and efficient. Can't fault it at all. I prefer the gas to leccy as a heat source - there's something about topping up from a big yellow can of gas that I enjoy, and the burner sounds like a little jet.

In my experience vapes do need a bit of occasional cleaning to keep them flowing well. A little bit of industrial alcohol it just the ticket for cleaning.

Tldr the solo 3 is my preferred device. So easy to clean compared to rest..comes with all accessories you need and the flavor....well thats the best they all do. I use the XL tube which allows about 0.6 gram . I bought a bubbler (as it comes with 14mm water bubbler adaptor) and it's beautiful

I've always gone with Storz &, Bickel. I still own the original solid valve Volcano which I bought in 2006 (!) and I'm not convinced anything invented since hits harder. However it is not exactly discreet or portable. I did have a Crafty but managed to get a warranty replacement for a Mighty, which I've just honorably retired after five years and replaced with a Venty, which seems to be working very well for me. If there's even a small chance vaping will get you off tobacco, it is worth investing in as the positive results it could yield are life-changing.

Hi, it is a major upgrade in my opinion. The quick heating time is a bonus, but it's the increased airflow which makes the most difference. It almost turns it into a mobile Volcano. On the negative side, I have seen lots of reports of units needing to be replaced due to the dreaded E4 error message, so that is a potential inconvenience.

On a wider point, I'm starting to think that vapes are like the drugs we put in them - in that there will always be something 'better', harder hitting, and more expensive if we look hard enough. Ultimately the cheapest way of improving our high is to take a tolerance break !

I tried 3 different addresses and all the same issue. I finally managed to send it through using the manage all addresses and add new option up the top right. Not ideal but if your really stuck hopefully that works for you as well

With the options I picked my wallet not someone else's and unknown wallet/exchange. The extra options definitely threw me off but it sent through with no issues. Hope you managed to get your order in mate or this at least helps

So even though the postage price is at cost and clearly states 1st class I keep getting asked for tracking, even from folk that have ordered a few times. I could change it to tracked but I'd have to bulk them up and send less often so you wouldn't get your gear so quickly and you'd be paying more for it. Do you guys really think tracking is necessary when buying small amounts, seems an unnecessary expense to me? I've been sending 1st class untracked mail since 2011 and so far everything has arrived so the extra hassle and cost seems daft to me.

I've noticed a review marking me down from a ten to a nine (nearly an eight apparently) because it was in silicone pots. Seems a bit unfair, nothing to stop you transferring it when it arrives. Again I could buy glass pots but then it would drive up the price per gram. Personally I thought the silicone pots were better than sending it out in parchment paper that I've received concentrates in in the past. Be interesting to hear what you Biggas think...

I used to stick to the original and it is pretty neutral and allows whatever you add to come through, no floral flavour.
I found it easier on the throat than using shake for bulking out joints and cheaper too.👍

Done this a few years ago, try a dry herb vape as suggested, it takes a bit of getting used to but after a few months you won't go back, joints will taste like a bonfire, vaping tastes so much nicer and it's more efficient.

This is an ace little battery, the fine voltage control makes a difference.
One brand/model that’s been as solid as a rock, but never seems to get any kudos is the Paso 510 battery, I’ve had one of those outlast 2 Nectar Honeybee’s and a Honeystick, both of which I thought were junk.

I’ve pretty much given up trying to vape hard hashes, although I still do soft hashes in a dosing capsule in the Mighty or Venty. The little Vapman is very good but requires butane artistry to be consistent. The modular Bakx is supposed to be the way to go but I haven’t tried one…

😄 I know what you mean! Not combusted for a few years and tbh just recently got a hankering to have some hash in a pipe (oh used to luuuurve that!) for old times sake. Then I have a vape, get nice and toasted without a sore throat or chesty grogginess and the pipe thought disappears! (never say never though...)

I used to use lighters and that aomai lighter has a very gentle flame. Even so I moved over to an Induction Heater by Yll Vape. I find it heats the dynavap less harshly than a lighter.

Cotton Bacon from Amazon £6/£10 or so but lasts ages.

Commercial hash less than $10/g tends to be harsher vaped than higher priced (and I'm only talking the next tier hash $10-$15/g).

Tiny bit of (quality) hash wrapped in a tiny bit of Cotton popped into a Dynavap run through an IH heater - after a slight learning curve - equals less harshness.

Just some things to consider. :)

Got mine from Rec Vapes. £99 without batteries, £112 with but out of stock at the moment. Had mine for about a year.

I know seems expensive compared to £10 lighter but no gas filling, batteries last ages (around 100 heat cycles), no twirling of Dynavap and once bought I've never looked back (after slight learning curve!) Weed, Hash, Concentrate all good with this.

The "click" of the dynavap is really obvious, too. (well, with my Dynavaps anyway - I know some people have trouble!)

Oh and you don't need an armoured cap or similar. In fact, I find they don't work correctly with this IH, they are better with lighters.

It's also the king of vaping flower too of course. Smashes the mighty, volcano, venty, crafty etc (own some and tried the others). The only dry herb vape I've used that's comparable is the flowerpot. Like a Rolls-Royce of vapes.

But you would want it to be at that crazy price haha. I had mine for 4 years and don't regret, after warranty care is good.

You are right though, it's expensive yeah mate. If you tell us your price range maybe we can come up with something more suitable. I have heard people get good results with Dynavap though, maybe you could try different technique with vape cotton etc.

I also own the mighty and the herborizer is a lot better imo. Herborizer is designed for complete extraction in one or two hits. (Side note, this is for flower, it won't extract hash that quickly)

It took me a long time and a lot of research before I bought mine but definitely don't regret it. A bonus is, due to the glass design, you get to watch the hash melt as you vape it haha.

Good luck mate, I'm sure you will find something that works for you, some good suggestions from other biggas too :)

I went budget, Coilking AIO, which does for me. I'm sure you can get better if you want to pay more. I usually use carts so the dab is an occasional treat for me. You really taste the hash, it's like an old style "hot knife".

I got myself a taster pack off the good stuff and a week off work. I intend to research this further🕵‍♂️😶‍🌫️
I have tinymight2, xmax v3 pro and dynavap b only a butane torch though. so far the xmax on 220°C on session mode is my hash preference in the little stainless steel dosing caps keeps it all clean.
I have found so far that less is more and I tend to put too much in the TM2
I make it small and flat in cotton bacon if I just want the hash flavour.
My favourite way is in a sandwich of ground up bud for optimal flavour and hit I would put a bit of extract in there too a big plus this way is it all goes in with your abv.
I will report back if I change my mind.

Currently using an XLux Roffu for hash, use the metal oven, take out the metal screen in the mouthpiece and sandwich between 2 layers of cotton...works beautifully and thats with all kinds of hash including hard stuff and concentrate. I use it on 410 degrees in the house and max when im outside. Most vapes will work with hash if you do a bit of tinkering. Would buy the Tinymight 2 if i could afford it as its got a really powerful heater. Also from what ive read the new Madheaters Tempest would deffo do the job but i think they have minimum stock. Hope that helps bud.

I use the xmax v3 pro, if you sandwich a little bit of bubble hash in between some bud works great. Can also recommend mixing some hash and concentrate together and do the same for a very intense hit and high

Must be something missing.. gets me toasted, tastes amazing at least for the first few puffs. Will have me coughing and sweating sometimes. I’m tempted to buy a water pipe adapter and see how that is with the dry herb vape

After an excellent experience with Eddy's EU a couple of weeks ago I'm compelled to share my experience for others to consider when choosing an EU vendor.

A week or so before my holiday to Spain I messaged Eddys EU for some advice - how far in advance to order, protocol with hotel deliveries, Spanish customs etc. Nothing was too much hassle for the guys and all my questions were answered fully with a real personal feel to them. These people really care about the customer.

Arse a'quivering I bit the bullet and ordered a Q of bud to the hotel, within the timeframes advised. The next day the parcel was dispatched and I was provided with tracking information, along with an assurance that the vendor had put his own mobile number on the package should any issues arise and will personally oversee the delivery as much as possible.

Fast-forward a week, I checked into my hotel knees clacking a bit, no parcel yet as advised by the tracking info. I head to the room and plan my speech for the Guardia. Lo and behold, a couple of hours later, the room intercom buzzes - "Mr Roflmao69, a package has been delivered for you at reception!" Do I push my luck here, I think? Why not! "Would you mind bringing that up to my room?". Eddy fixed it for me to get bud delivered TO MY HOTEL ROOM, exactly when he said he would, in a foreign country I had first stepped foot in not hours before. To add that this was a holiday in the Balearic islands, I assumed there'd be a few more hoops to jump through - obviously not a problem for Eddys.

Five minutes later I'm sat on the balcony vaping away on TRULY some of the finest flower I have tasted in years. That Motorhead 15 is a serious pleasure. Natural anxiety and panic from the whole process has dissipated, I can relax and enjoy my holiday. Thankyou VERY much, Eddy & the Boyz. The remaining couple of grams or so I couldn't get through before I left I palmed off to a random tourist who was struggling to score (no charge ofc), so not only did Eddys make my week, the gift kept on giving. Maybe that guy passed on his remaining gram when he left, and so on...

I know this is probably just another day at the office for the vendor but this experience has really stuck out to me and the love I received from Eddy & the Boyz meant I just had to share my experience. I offered a round of beers but Eddy absolutely refused, saying he would instead treat the Boyz at Spannabis in my name. Hopefully a public testimonial goes some way to showing my appreciation.

Ha, that's the only reason I'm not buying from Eddy's EU venture, but I wish him every success. 100% happy to vouch for Eddy as an excellent vendor of various high quality products. Never let me down anyway, even with an arse twitching amount sent via stamp that arrived fine. I'm sure we were both happy and relieved when that order split into 2 parcels turned up fine.

Hmmm...I go to France quite a bit, and that would just be standard post with no customs from Spain, wouldn't it?

Only issue is Ireland these days, rest of the world is all good. We have a cannabis club on main land Spain and Tenerife, we are always posting out to them from the UK.

No Spanish outdoor bud is matching dispensary grade Cali or top shelf indoor so be carful my friend in people claiming so, all the best ❤️

Eddys EU and The Good stuff EU are a good shout. Stay away from Euroterps for now as they have gone missing...still waiting on an order and they sent wrong tracking before going offline so not looking too good there.
