You sent me an ounce of pre tumbled bud missing all trichome heads and containing seeds. Id appreciate a response in regards to this as it is not acceptable for $235 and is certainly not in line with cali mids.

I usually prefer not to address these attacks, but it has reached a point where I feel the need to respond. Im also posting this on LB to officially put our position on record.

First and foremost, this isnt our first rodeo, and Im sure it wont be our last. Accusations similar to this has happened more times than I care to remember.

That being said, we rarely address them because we genuinely believe that anyone who has shopped with us, or even interacted with us, knows that we treat everyone with the respect and professionalism.

Im not going to address the review of the product itself, because everyone is entitled to their own opinion. All we ask is that those opinions remain respectful and honest.

At the end of the day, it is impossible to please everyone. Someone may absolutely love a product we sell, while someone else may hate it. That is simply the nature of selling. This is why we do our best to make our photos, descriptions, and listings as accurate and transparent as possible. Even then, people will have different expectations and opinions.

Furthermore, the dispute option exists for a reason. If you ever feel that something has gone wrong with an order, we at TWOZ have no issue with you using it. That is what the system is there for.

Rather than immediately going on the offensive, use the dispute process and allow it to do its job. If we had been rude and disrespectful I could understand wanting to raise the issue elsewhere but we weren’t.

I’d also like to think that customers who have shopped with us, including those who have experienced issues, know that we always try our best to resolve issues quickly and fairly. More times, things get resolved and everyone moves on. Sometimes they don’t, and we simply go our separate ways. That’s business.

Now, regarding the specific accusation that we are behind ALT accounts, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE. PERIOD.

It is clearly an attempt to sabotage our brand and damage the reputation we have built.

We will ALWAYS continue to conduct ourselves respectfully, transparently, and professionally.

Got totally screwed off thewizardofoz420 today. Ordered some premium cali shake @ 110/z 5pm yesterday, get all the usual confirmation stuff. 9.30am this morning instead of posting confirmation get a message saying he is out of shake and will leave order open incase I want something else?! Really poor service right before the weekend as well, really disappointed in the seller as wouldnt have imagined he'd done this. God knows when I'll get the refund but just no what you need off sellers with a 9.8 rating at all. Buyer beware especially if youve an outstanding order due for arrival this weekend. here's the doc's advice for beating colds and flu in the early rounds. if your throat is getting sore, you feel off or inexplicably tired, achy or if your house is filled with sickies:

liquids - lots and lots
citrus - lots
zinc
milk thistle - your liver is your best weapon, milk thistle can supercharge it.
cbd

sunlight
warmth (overdo it with clothing)
exercise to promote circulation
win hof breathing - bizarre but studies prove its effectiveness
elevate your feet - also sounds weird but gets the right things going to the right places

no smokey (switch to edibles, preferably cbd)
if you're not a serious stoner take a t break.
if you are this isn't the time to completely stop as withdrawal will add to your problems. but trim your dosage and time things so you get some exercise out of it and good sleep.

no alcohol

if anyone is sick around you wash your hands and flush your eyes and nose with water very regularly. these are the portals of pathogens.

Did You Miss Me?

It's been a long time since I wrote a topic so I thought it was about time and I should explain my absence.

I'm Still Alive

Back in November I got covid/flu and got a bit of an infection afterwards with a few complications. I'm not a youngling anymore and I was a wee bit ill so I completely stopped smoking.

No More Tobacco

As I mixed tobacco into my joints it seemed to be a step forward to quit that anyway. The dull and grimey coloured packets themselves have long assured me in both photographic and boldly written formats that it's very bad stuff.

But THC is Good For Me

To keep cannabis flowing into my bloodstream I moved onto a mixture of edibles and dry herb vaping to see how I went with it. I'd planned to start smoking pure rolls once I'd recovered but I smoke surprisingly few of them even though my lungs are working again and I'm back to normal health.

I've sort of got used to the dry herb vaping. It took quite a while to fully adapt to it which is why I stopped doing the review write-ups. I quite like it now though.

Vaping For Pros

My dry herb vape is an X-max V3 pro. And like pretty much all products with the word 'pro' in the title it's unlikely to actually ever be used at any professional level.

I bought the glass mouthpiece for it which is much nicer than the standard plastic recorder-styled mouthpiece and I also bought a tube of horrifically overpriced dosing capsules. Both were recommended by an LB user so thanks to whoever that was. At the prices they charge for the capsules it was probably the Xmax CEO on LB. Multiple capsules are really essential for convenient heavy usage as I can stack them up preloaded and fire through them one at a time but honestly the price of them genuinely takes the piss.

Which Vape Do You Have?

I'm interested in other people's vaping equipment and experiences so please jump into the comments section. What do you use and why do you love it? I'd genuinely like to hear the opinions of LB weed vapers.

Mighty Plus

I was going to buy a Mighty Plus but I tried my mates regular Mighty out and my Xmax seemed better on flavour in a Pepsi challenge using Z-cube in both. A sidenote - the Z Cube from Green Cat was superb. It looked a bit scrappy, was a bit sticky, but flavour wise it was the full sweetshop of loveliness. I saved most of it for Christmas. The Mighty was an incredible device in the effective speed at which it turned cannabis into vapour. It was amazing really. But it didn't have me leaping to buy one.

Psychological Challenge

The other thing I didn't like as much was a psychological thing which I didn't expect but it was definitely a thing. The Xmax is sort of a bit cigaretty in shape and usage whereas the Mighty is less so. I find that familiarity in look and feel oddly comforting in terms of replacing smoking. However I did like the kick-arse heating element on the Mighty I must admit.

Superboof

This is the main reason I started writing this topic. As usual I've written an essay before even getting going. At least some things don't change.

I know there's a lot more orange fans on LB than orange buds generally so I like to share a good one when I know it's about.

The superboof strain is honestly one of my favourite buds of all time. Despite the changes in my weed absorption style, I can still tell this is a lovely example from The Wizard of Oz as soon as I open the bag.

Orange Promises

This boof is formed of dense nugs and you can immediately smell the orange heritage. The grinder confirms this as it unleashes orangey promises into the air.

Orange Clouds

In the vape the delicious orange flavours flow through in some nice thick cloudy vapour. That first initial hit of terps have the full dank dark orangeness I love. The stone is typically orange-like too in its double stage delivery.

At first it hits with a bit of energy. It's not panicky like a lemon haze but it definitely fires up your mind. The second stage about ten minutes later suddenly sedates it into a heavier chill.

Best of Both

Orange bud flavours are a best of both worlds high for me hence me passionately hyping them up every time some lands in my stash. This superboof is linked so if you fancy trying it for yourself click on that and go check it out on the Twoz listing page.

The Pink Runtz That Bamboozled Me

Loving The Pink

I'm loving the Pink Runtz I have at the moment but I can't quite place the flavour. As I'm an old pothead, usually when I smoke a particular strain, I can taste the component parts. These strains have grown up with me so I've usually been through the component flavours over the years. Basically, most new strains - I used to know their Granddads.

I'm rarely surprised if I Google the strain lineage as it usually confirms what my taste buds already suspected. As I'm sure we are all aware, I particularly like doing these write ups by following that exact flavour journey.

Runtz Got Me

This Runtz has bamboozled me, although it's given me the chance to use the word bamboozle in a sentence. Twice now in fact. I might add it into the title for the hat trick. From your perspective this has probably already happened and was in fact amongst the first words that you read but I usually write the title last as I don't know what I've said until the end. I'm pretty excited with this opportunity to use a fancy word. I'm running with it. Where was I...

Order and Delivery

The Pink Runtz in question is from The Wizard Of Oz. It really must be noted how bloody quick these guys work. Comms, stealth, speed, delivery - these guys have one of the slickest operations on LB. This is $120 on the half oz with free postage, although I ordered a mix n match deal. But that's a great price for this quality.

I ordered about 10pm. Order was marked as processed and sent later that night. Arrived, not the next day (obviously as it'd only be picked up by postie then) but the day after. Every order I've had from Twoz has been incredibly fast so I'd just like to flag the solid service. That must take effort and it is appreciated.

Back to the Runtz

It's a really lovely smoke with a flavour that I'm really enjoying and it tastes very familiar but I can't quite place it. I shall however try to explain.

The Runtz has a main flavour layer that's exactly what you expect. It's a sweetshop strain and has many of the generic traits you'd expect of this type of weed. But it's got another layer of deliciousness and it's this that I'm struggling to identify.

Genetics

The internet says it's likely a cross between Zkittles and Gelato as Pink Runtz is simply a pheno of Runtz that turned out a wee bit pinker. There's other suggestions that Pink Panties was included in the mix. But it's of course impossible to know which seeds the grower got and what the real genes I'm experiencing are.

However there's certainly a flavour layer that easily agrees with the Z x G cross. A sweetshop and ice cream flavour mixed together would explain the main layer. Plus there's something else. And it's the something else that I'm struggling to place so easily.

Grinding

In the grinder I'd guess at a sherbet or slurricane from the smell. It's a sickly sweet underlying scent I feel I know. Except it's not either of those. The sunset sherbet does have Pink Panties in the lineage though so perhaps this variant includes those genes and that's the simple answer to the mystery. But I'm not sure by any means.

Smoking

It's got a particular sort of thick and smooth sweet vanilla musk under the sweetshop flavour which gives a super satisfying inhale. Blue Nerds when grown well has a similar duality where it's blue tasting but it carries a backnote with a little silvery musk which delivers a wide ranging taste mixture. This is like that blend but with all the flavour parts replaced with sweetshop flavouring.

Unique Taste

Perhaps this Pink Runtz has the rare quality of actually being a unique taste marker that I'll refer to in future. I've had other Runtz strains which tended to tick the more expected sweetshop flavour box of a Zkittles or Gelato descendant but that weren't the full wide band of flavouring that Pinkie here is delivering.

Stone

It's an easily delivered stone that ultimately does get you blazed but leaves you still capable of achieving basic human tasks. Basically a nice balanced feeling where there's enough head stone to be thoughtful but not enough to be panicky and there's enough body buzz to be chilled without feeling like someone has nailed your feet to the floor.

And it's all gently delivered as you smoke so you don't have a sudden bang of a stone like with some of my favoured strains that are like being shot by a thc shotgun ten minutes after you stub.

The past is the future:

Yes. I've gone down another nostalgic rabbit hole. Twoz had some of the White Widow and since I'd not seen it for years I simply couldn't resist.

When I were a lad...

I remember White Widow was the top of all the menus in Amsterdam on my third trip out there. That'd be around 1994 / 1995. Back then each visit would introduce me to a new cutting edge strain that we could only dream about in the UK. I can remember looking in wonder at the glistening white crystal coating on the Widow and seeing how it'd earned its name.

Genetics:

White Widow was created from two very old strains so we're diving into some of the original source code of cannabis genetics. This is a cross between a Brazilian Sativa (landrace) x South Indian Indica from over thirty years ago originally.

Purchase & Delivery

I grabbed a two strain deal from The Wizard of Oz here and bagged an extra gram on both quarters with the extended bank holiday offer. The other bit was the Blue Diesel which I've not tried yet but it smells fantastic.

It's also worth noting the speed at which Twoz operate at. Weed was delivered within 24 hours again. I imagine they put some effort in to be as quick as they are so it's worth flagging up the excellent service - not least as there's many folk on LB who find themselves with a level of unplanned urgency and love a speedy parcel.

Out the bag:

First of all it's been grown nicely but it is scrappier than the furry pebbles we're used to seeing from modern gelato style crosses with their large dense nugs. This is not necessarily a bad thing and some of the best tasting buds I've had have been a wee bit scrappy.

It's also a little sticky but grinds into a lovely fluffy texture ready for sprinkling and doesn't glue the grinder together. It's not damp, it's sticky and resinous.

How's it smell?

It smells amazing. It's like a very heady alcoholic fuel that hints towards diesel but with a less deeply sour / sweetshop undertone - although there is a old fruit note. Maybe like a gassy northern lights would be. It's a bit harder to describe than when I usually write these as it's not leaning on relatable ancestry that I can easily pick out. It smells like White Widow!

What's the taste like?

Upon lighting it up, a puff of the widowy goodness takes me back to the past faster than Doctor Who could. The flavour is less overstated than the smell but is joyously old school in taste and brings back memories. It's like a lightly sweet skunky taste.

I don't drink coffee anymore but I'm craving that mixed cappuccino (pre-latte era) and cannabis smell wafting into the streets from those early coffee shops in Dam.

The weed burns lovely and smokes nice and thick with smooth resiny clouds. I like it.

How strong is it?

The stone is moderate to begin with but with a hefty follow up oomph a short while later as the buzz kicks in. It's not a full sofa zombie and has a more energetic but cerebrally spacy high. Although thankfully it is more balanced than a crazy haze. So while it's old, it's no weakling and holds its own against newer varieties.

Verdict

I'm glad I bought it and I'm enjoying smoking it. It's unlike modern strains so its a bit of a the change from the norm. Arguably it doesn't quite stand up to the amount of rich flavour breeders have squeezed from modern weed but it's got a lovely old school taste and it's not completely outclassed by its younger relatives at all.

If you remember it from back in the day there's a good chance you'll like it again now.

If you don't remember it from back in the day here's a chance to experience something different that's not crossed with gelato. It'll probably be a whole new experience.

The Humble Spliff: A Celebration

Once Upon A Time

The year was 1987. Margaret Thatcher won a historic third term of bossing the country about and Rick Astley dominated the pop charts with Never Gonna Give You Up. One did not inspire the other as far as I know. Also a very young BigRoo scored some basic Moroccan hash at school and had to learn how to roll up.

It's Harder Than It Looks

My first spliff was of course a disaster. I ended up getting a mate to re-roll it for me. This was very inconvenient so ultimately I had to overcome my clunky uncoordinated fingers and learn myself. I can now roll a joint in a semi-conscious state with my eyes shut and broken fingers so it's hard to imagine that it was once a tricky skill I had to perfect. But I genuinely used to look at proficient joint rollers with wide magic-filled eyes like Paul Daniels had just turned a handkerchief into a flower on TV.

It's Like Fricking Magic

This must be something we've all been through at some point. Not the watching of 80s magician Paul Daniels but the fumbling of a joint roll so badly it seemed only possible to accomplish by magic.

Three Greens and a Yelp

At first I started rolling using golden Virginia tobacco, the basic hash of the time and three green rizlas. The middle rizla held the other two together and creating a thick blanket of paper. Gradually I got the hang of turning this chunky mixture of tobacco and badly crumbled hash into a viable paper cylinder to smoke.

The next thing I had to perfect was crumbling the hash so that millions of hot rocks didn't suddenly fall out and give me pin burns that both ruined my clothes and forced me to leap up from my chilled seated position yelping and flapping at small skin burns to the amusement of everyone else in the room. Everyone from this era will relate to this I believe.

It Was A Simpler Time

Even with this rolling technique nailed it wasn't really that great. It's worth pointing out that rolling material options were not as plentiful as they are now and you couldn't just bowl into Tesco and buy ocb's. The internet hadn't been invented yet so no LB to order from. Pagers were still cool. On the plus side most towns had a dodgy backstreet pub that accepted that most the regulars were pot heads and so you could skin up and smoke in the pub. Very civilised - even without fancy rolling papers or internet connection.

Rizla Bonfire

Rolling with three thick green rizlas created a harsh smoke that smelled like you're lighting a bonfire with newspaper. So next was the lick, dab and peel method where you use just the sticky bit from the third rizla to stick the other two together into a long paper but dispose of the joining paper itself. Man this seemed clever at the time. Like beating the system.

Houston, We Have a Problem

Over time this was improved by using the thinner small blue rizla instead of greens. Every so often that clever join would let go while you were smoking it and it'd partly unravel. An Apollo 13 style rescue would ensue with a lot of moving parts, limited materials and a ticking clock until it was too late to save it. "How we gonna fill a round hole with a square peg?"

Bedsheet Sized King Skins

The larger king size rizla were ridiculously wide at the time and not available everywhere. They were much wider than large papers are now. I've since realised they were likely designed for reverse rolling (back strapping) but I didn't know such a thing existed then so using them for a regular roll wrapped up your joint in more paper than a chippy uses on your fish.

Fancypants Papers

In specialist shops things like rips were available. These came in a roll which you ripped to size, hence the name. The shop local to me also did rainbow coloured rolling papers for students who smelled of patchouli oil. At least they were the only people who bought them from what I could tell.

Channel 4 Cannabis Night

In the 90s I watched the channel 4 cannabis night. I've mentioned it before but for anyone who doesn't know we used to only have 3 channels on TV. Channel 4 was launched to challenge the musty, stagnant traditional channels with something more edgy and youth focused.

Amongst the many events on the channel during its experimental phase was a cannabis night. This showed all sorts of interesting and supportive Cannabis content all night long. Like a channel takeover. Cannabis was universally never addressed as a fun or positive thing in any mainstream media. I truly believe that this single night of viewing was culturally transformative for the UK and gave the mainstream media of the time a shake up.

It was like the cannabis version of the Sex Pistols seminal 1976 gig in Manchester where almost everyone who attended went on to start a band.

As years passed after the show, cannabis smoking turned from hash to fancy weed, rolling paper options increased, and it became common to find a range of smoking products in both local corner shops and big supermarkets. I think much of this early progress was born on channel 4 pot night as so many of us carried that with us as we grew.

Reverse Rolling

During this culturally important TV show I discovered reverse rolling (back strapping) was a thing and very popular in Holland where the cannabis scene was very different at the time. I didn't learn reverse rolling right there and then but that's when I wanted to learn it. I'd try every so often but would usually make a total mess of it and would find myself back on Paul Daniels territory thinking it was another magic trick.

The Sexiest Way to Roll

It was a while later when I met someone who could do it properly that I finally learned. Even then I had to relentlessly force myself to do it over and over with a much higher failure rate than I had on my regular rolls of the time.

But I gradually got it and that's how I still roll to this day. I like that you get a neat single piece of thin paper wrapped around your precious ingredients with just a small seam running along the length just like a tailor made cigarette or a pinup girls stockings. Basically back strapping is sexy.

Newfangled Cannabis Consumption

I'm totally down with what all you crazy kids get up to these days. Together you have further transformed the way we buy and consume cannabis here in the UK. I like my herb vape and I dabble with dabs with my little pen. I make my own edibles with RSO or D9 and I've got a live resin vape cartridge thing. Sometimes I get my pipe or bong out to smoke hash.

But... You Cannot Beat The Humble Spliff

Despite the myriad of smoking options, the one thing I return to over and over, is the simple, humble, basic spliff. I like the slow burning, gentle relaxation of gradually consuming a nice joint. It's thoughtfully ponderous and mentally resetting for me. Long term I'll likely migrate away from combustion for health reasons and I tip my hat to everyone who has - but for now I just can't resist puff after puff of thick flavourful smoke from a slow burning joint of a premium weed.

The Joint Rolling Ritual

Rolling a joint is ritualistic and an important part of the overall cannabis experience. You get to savour the freshly ground smell of the weed before undertaking a very personal and artisan rolling process that borders on the strictness of a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Basically it's smoking foreplay to ready and excite you before sparking it up.

My Current Roll

These days I set out a brown OCB on my rolling tray. I still use tobacco and roll with a token amount of American Spirit. On top of that I add a pretty healthy amount of weed. Probably about a 0.4g. But I don't weigh it or particularly measure it. Might be 0.3. Could be 0.5. Somewhere around that though.

I then reverse roll it into a slight cone and stick it before tearing the excess paper off. I never burn this off as I see some people do as this has not worked well for me. Fire and me don't get along.

I roach it after rolling. I've never got rolling with the roach in place dialled as it seems to mess it up for me and either flair the end or turn it into a matchstick.

Then I light and enjoy. This was loads more words than I'd planned to write about rolling a joint. I got a wee bit carried away. If you're still reading you deserve a prize. You won't actually get one but really you should. I appreciate you sticking with me here.

- The Best 420 / Easter - Ever?

Hello folks of LB. Hope you are all having the best 420 Easter celebration there's ever been in the history of humankind. I'd like to wish you a Happy Easter or Happy 420 depending on which your religion is.

- Hoarding Weed

I've saved a bit of everything I've bought for a while so I've got loads of different bits to pick my way through over Easter. Added to that I've got extracts, various hash, rosin and all sorts in my stash.

- Kid in a Sweetshop

Basically I'm at a point where I've been ordering more than I actually smoke just because I wanted to try various stuff and I need to use up what I have and stop being Mr Greedy. Not least as I'm skint. I wonder if these two things are connected? It seems I am not fully past the kid in a sweetshop phase of LB membership.

- Fellow Potheads

Anyway I'd like to take a moment to reflect and to say I'm glad I found LB. First off, aside from a few nutters, you're a good bunch and I appreciate the interactions with my fellow potheads here. It's a real release from trudging through the monotonous drudgery of the real world each day. I've had lots of good advice and I've learned a lot. So thanks to the strong community of supportive LB folk.

- LB is a Winner

The obvious core amazing thing on LB though is being able to get decent great value weed delivered to my door. It's a world away from the procedure I used to go through.

- Pleasure from Pain

I only discovered LB while I was injured. That's a whole other story but it wasn't so easy to get about town. I really wanted someone to deliver me some weed so I spent the sofa time searching online until I found this place.

- The LB Feeling

I'm so glad I found LB. The products and service offered here is incredible. Often I order regular retail stuff coincidentally on same day as an LB order and almost every time the LB order beats the retail order to my door by days.

- It Blows My Mind

It's the selection of products that really blows my mind though. This has led me to buy and try all sorts of new stuff leading to my current overstocked situation. Which I'm not moaning about - it's much better than not having enough. As they say: weed will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no weed.

- Selections

Being able to carefully select what I like is such a luxury compared to my old late night scramble for whatever random bits matey had picked up. Yes, there's a lack of orange strains - I believe I've mentioned this before?! But overall there's such a great choice that I (almost) forgive the lack of some basic orange options. Especially nice is being able to order the hashes, extracts, RSO and D9 which are all luxury items to accompany and enhance my regular smoking but I love having them in my stash.

- I Am Lucky

I'm glad they built LB with a community feel too as it's nice to read through the recommendation topics by other people happy to share their thoughts and help guide others towards a great product. I feel lucky to be here.

- It Started With Tropicana Cookies -

This story starts with an urge to buy Tropicana Cookies. Finally the relatively new vendor the wizard of Oz had a bud I simply couldn't resist ordering. With close relatives of orange bud via it's Tangie ancestry and Durban poison via the cookies, it seemed it might just sit exactly where I like my flavour profile. Added to the fact I've not had it before, I felt I needed to check it out. It takes a lot to draw me away from my favourite vendors but orange flavourings are like my kryptonite.

- The Wizard of Oz -

Twoz aren't exactly a new looking vendor now with hundreds of positive reviews and a menu with more different options than a subway sandwich but it was only a few months back they were heckling for their first sales. The list of products is growing impressively fast and I suspect they'll be a big go-to vendor on LB if they're not already.

- LB Fans -

They're very involved in the lb community and seem to largely set a good and positive tone with their contributions and interactions. It's the exact sort of level-headed personal quality that makes a vendor appealing to trade with.

- They Have My Order -

So I've put my order in and am now in the waiting phase. We've all been here. Our mind salivating at the potential delivery but simultaneously fearing the worst.

- Fast Delivery... But Not the World's Smartest Postie -

I didn't wait long. Delivered in one day. The postie left it outside so I can't tell you the exact time but it was within 24 hours. If there's a single occupation where you'd expect an employee to almost instinctively understand that something smaller than a letterbox can easily be posted, it'd be a postman. On this occasion it'd seem their spatial analysis failed them. Stealth was all good without detailing it for obvious reasons. Aside from the postman's decision making process, this is all going well so far.

- Unboxing -

That moment has arrived. We all love it. We all live it. Time to open my parcel. Will my dreams be met or my nightmare realised?

Upon opening the bag I have my order plus I have a free mystery gram folks. This topic was meant to be me reviewing the Tropicana Cookies but that's been pushed to one side and Scooby Do mode has been engaged. I have a mystery to solve here people. We could be going to a creepy abandoned fun fair. I don't know where the clues will lead but let's get this solved first.

- Mystery Bag -

The mystery bag is two small half g buds. One of them looks like it's got the foxtail trait. Both are compact and glistening. Cutting the vacuum bag open I'm immediately getting orange vibes. Twoz ran a post looking for sensible suggestions a while back. I flippantly suggested free orange bud with every order because I'm a stoner and I don't do sensible stuff that often. I'm getting a sense of being called out on that here. That's what this smell is. This vendor has been paying close attention. I have a stalker.

- Matching Profiles -

The obvious match from their menu is Miami. But the bud looks more like Neck Bones. That has diesel in its lineage which I think I'd pick out better by smell but the compactness and shape of the bud is a better visual match. As I write this I'm waiting to hear back what it was from Twoz. I'm betting on Miami but I genuinely don't know. It's a really lovely smoke and definitely has an orange twang from somewhere making me feeling confident on my bet but not a hundred percent. Their menu is big now. A lot can be ruled out but there's a few options might catch me out. It is of course an added bonus to my order no matter what it is.

- Lessons from Scooby Do -

I was meant to be writing about the Tropicana Cookies. But if there's one single thing that Scooby Do taught us as kids it's that human beings of any age simply cannot resist a mystery. I'm hoping Twoz reply to my message soon so I can get on with my life.

- Mystery Solved -

The culprit has been unmasked and true to the mystery genre my initial prediction was correct but with enough seeds of doubt cast that it was still a surprise to find out the answer for sure. It is the Miami. Twoz are fantastic at communication fortunately so this didn't drag on like a netflix drama and I knew my answer within the first episode. No cliff hangers. Arguably writing it on the bag with a Sharpie would also have solved this. I had fun though. I hope we all did.

- For the Doubters -

Anyone who doesn't believe this was the exact process here and I've added it for drama please feel free to message Twoz to confirm the story unfolded precisely as above. All my posts are written out as they happen. So what was I actually writing about?

- Finally the Cookies -

Tropicana Cookies. Here we go at last. I really should have started with this. You can smell the heritage in the bag but the Miami has already stolen the orange show.

I can taste the sweet Durban nature of the cookies and it's a nice smoke, with thick clouds and hints of old flavours. It's got a zest of old orange thickening up the sweetened cookie smoke with a citrus note which is a lovely mix. It's not drippingly orange like a mimosa nor as pronounced as the Miami but the hints are there. I definitely approve of the flavour but it's not on my orange list. It is a nice cookies variant and props up the sweet doughy flavour with a zesty overlay.

- Finally -

The bud I got weighed at 7.2g for a quarter and were all fair sized buds - plus I got a scooby surprise. At $60 a quarter it's hard to fault on quality or service. I expected good things from The Wizard of Oz and I'm glad that expectation was met.

How Do You Write Reviews?

- Powerful Tool -

The review system on LB is one of the powerful tools LB gives us consumers. A bad product or vendor has a short life on LB because of the reviews and ratings system as well as being able to create topics like this. Its one of the ways in which vendors are held accountable for their products and services.

- Share Your Experience -

We have the power to share our product knowledge and experience of vendors to help steer other LB purchases. I've seen bad products removed pretty fast off the back of the community response. Equally I've seen people rush to buy vendor products driven by positive content here.

- No Guidelines -

However, there's not a set way to do reviews so we all make it up as we go along. This leaves a mixed quality and lots of discussions around what is correct.

I review the overall deal - product, value, stealth & service. I'm likely to give a ten assuming everything went well and the weed matches the photo and description as well as being good value for the price paid. I start dropping points off for poor quality, delays, mistakes etc.

How do you do yours?

- We Have a Voice -

Looking at new vendors as a way of estimating review rates, it looks like a fairly small number of people write reviews - maybe 25%. I'd be interested if anyone has any accurate numbers around this in case I've got it completely wrong. It's a shame though as in many aspects of life we don't have a voice. We do here.

- Mixed Quality -

While many reviews here are great and contribute to the lb community, there's some reviews which are not nearly as useful.

This is a discussion so please chime in if you believe I'm wrong about any of these or have something to add. I have rewritten the below reviews as examples of the bad review genre so as not to directly quote anyone's actual review. It's not a witch hunt. This isn't aimed at anyone personally but is a discussion about writing reviews that will benefit everyone.

- Review Examples That Could Improve -

Top of the list of course is:
"I haven't tried it yet. 10/10."

- Unless you're Nostradamus maybe wait til you do try it. It could be an 8 or lower by then. I've had weed that looked and smelled just right from my favourite vendors but was so-so to smoke. I've also had iffy batches of stuff I'd ordered previously. Proof is in the pudding. Also writing a review closes the dispute window so if the product has a problem you'll have to jump through more hoops to open a dispute after reviewing it.

Next are this type:
"Amazing. So stoned. Huge glistening purple buds. Overweight. Pure white smoke. Perfect oil ring. Probably the best weed I've ever had. And they sent me a freebie too. 6/10."

- I get it. You're difficult to please. High standards are good and you want to leave some ranking margin at the top for better stuff. Or maybe there was another issue like stealth or delivery time that you marked down from a ten. It'd be good to the reasoning for marking down here.

The one and done:
"1/10"

- If it's a 1 out of 10 we need to know why, especially on a product page of 10s. What went wrong for you - give us the heads up. Tell us your story.

That's also because of these:
"Terps and stone amazing. Incredible stuff. I'm ordering this again. 1/10"

- Clearly a mistake and likely a mix up on delivery time and rating or fat fingering the zero on a ten. I wonder how many one and done reviews had meant to leave it as a positive.

Expecting miracles:
"Ordered on Christmas eve next day delivery but it took 3 days to arrive. Weed was good though. 2/10"

- Set your expectations to realistic. The only person who delivers that fast at Christmas is Santa. And then only if you've been good. Have you? I fully understand the disappointment. Rolling papers at the ready and the postman walks straight past to your neighbours. We've all been there. At time of writing this, I am there now. But before you leave a low score do question, was this the vendors fault, or royal mail.

New vendor first reviews:
"Great. 7/10"

- You're the bold adventurer to roll the dice and place an order with a new vendor and we need to know more about how they operate. Stealth, delivery, product, communication. How did they do? Should we all drop everything and order here immediately? Spending a few mins here helps out the buyers and the vendor. Often new vendors have some great bargains but do we want to risk it - you know the answers.

On a multi product listing:
"It was amazing. 10/10"

- Which of the options did you buy? Often naming the product is unnecessary but on multi product or multi variant listings it's a useful habit that helps us know which are the good options and which to avoid - rather than blanketing multiple differing products with the same rating. Your 10/10 may have sold out days ago.

- My Ideal Review -

"[Product name] was a great example of the strain with strong [flavour] taste and strength. Big nugs. Perfectly cured. Thoughtful stealth and fast delivery. Vendor is awesome, I order here all the time. 10/10"

- Here we're ticking off the key points that make us trust the product listing and the vendor. Equally, if any of these points fall short then flag it up to the LB community. There's a thousand products here so give us a steer. If you read reviews to inform your own choices then please equally contribute by reviewing the products you buy. Your opinion counts.

- Negative Reviews -

Of course not all reviews are positive and where the value, weed, vendor, service or stealth is not up to scratch, that's the point where constructively explaining that to your fellow buyers in the reviews helps the whole community.

Negative reviews can have a powerful impact and help us make good choices about where to spend our coins. Give the vendors a chance to achieve their ten but if they're not up to the job in hand or you've had a terrible experience then sharing it helps us all.

- We Are Lucky -

Basically we're a bunch of lucky folk buying great quality cannabis products at decent prices with our payments protected by escrow.

Spending a few mins and doing our bit on the reviews helps the community thrive and the good products fly - as does creating or interacting with topics and recommendations. Equally steering us around poor service helps us avoid the problems you have had. It's these things that make LB more than just a marketplace but make it our community.

From There to Here: A Cannabis Ramble.

The Beginning

When I started smoking pot, the UK options were various types of commercial hash or basic landrace weeds.

The mainstay hash was usually a Rocky which I believe was nicknamed from Moroccan and was a heat n crumble hash. Often we'd get a Slate which as per the name came in thin slabs which fluffed up when heated and crumbled - anyone know what the origin of that was? Squidgy Black of various but often low grades would often be available. We'd usually get red seal but gold seal and other stamps did turn up. It'd roll into snakes. Plus we'd get other basic, and often poor quality, hashes with some variations like soap bar or double zero. Often you'd find hash cut with something unpleasant like henna or plastic. Although equally you'd sometimes get a lovely treat like a temple ball.

Weed tended to be Thai sticks or similar dry stuff with more seeds and sticks in it than weed. I'd hear about sensimelia but I didn't ever see any in my town. It was all pretty basic.

This was universally true across life in that period. Channel 4 was brand new and edgy and digital watches still seemed like a pretty neat idea. It was a simpler time. You couldn't even buy fancy long rizla at Tesco.

Original 90s Hash

Honestly, if you bought the cheapest rock solid hash on LB, wrapped it in plastic, smashed it up with a hammer, then stuck it back together so the plastic was on the inside, you'd be a long way towards creating an authentic 90s hash. I don't recommend it but the option is there if you'd like to experience it. I'm hoping some old stoners will confirm to the younglings that I'm not making this up.

The Dam

During my first trip to Amsterdam my eyes were opened to a new world of cannabis. Which was ironic considering they were half shut for much of the trip. I think many of us brought back a piece of Dam with us (quite literally in my case) and the sharing of those experiences seemed to progress everything forwards. We wanted to be more Dutch.

I loved the weed out there of course but it was more than that. It was the open and tolerant culture that allowed it all to happen that really hit home for me.

Slow Progress

Although the four channel options on TV and digital watches seeming a pretty neat idea persisted for some time, we gradually got better at growing weed here until we reach the point today where we're comparable to much of the rest of the world - and now smart watches seem like a pretty neat idea instead of the digital ones.

In between then and now I've had a wide range of oddly grown weed and lack of flavours. Even as we made a bit of progression, for long periods, everyone would seem to have the same grow.

It'd be cheese, then blue cheese, with lemon haze phases, then stardawg. Variety, as a concept, seemed to take a while to bed in. There were of course highlights and exceptions but the mainstay weed was very samey for years - at least locally - and definitely below the quality and variety abroad. This period developed my loathing of lemon haze. I've simply had it one too many times.

LB Quality

Now, all these years later, I'm ordering high quality buds delivered to my door from a menu of a thousand products. The difference in the cannabis now to then is almost immeasurable.

We've got strong, tasty and exotic weed with new strains on a regular basis. We've got fresh frozen hashes and powerful extracts. We've got vapes and dab pens. We have clean D9 edibles and decarb products. It's a golden age of cannabis consumption with a bigger crowd of us than ever before. I'm excited by it - by all you loons in the LB community.

While attitudes have certainly progressed, we're still a wee bit behind when compared to the tolerant attitude to cannabis use we're seeing in the US and parts of Europe.

Channel 4 Cannabis Night

The afore mentioned Channel 4 once did a cannabis night back when they were still keen to be edgy. All night they showed a stream of cannabis TV shows which sent shockwaves through the mainstream UK of the time but was of course dynamite viewing for my generation. It felt like part of a culture shift. A line in the sand between the stagnant and repressed old folks versus the new, dynamic and hedonistic youth.

In one of the programmes it showed how a legal cannabis future might look. I remember that it showed designer prerolls in professional looking cigarette looking packets. Funnily enough even our cigarette packets don't look like that any more! It'd be an interesting clip to watch again actually.

As a 80s/90s stoner I don't think I'd have predicted how the cannabis market looks now. Firstly the sweetshop flavour names and youth-styled graphics on the packs are a naming convention and style that's a world beyond stuff like skunk and white widow. But also the products available expanded far further than I could ever have imagined. It all leaves me as wide eyed as Charlie was stepping foot into the chocolate factory.

I don't know where we go from here but it'll be fun to find out. I hope the UK will ultimately find a more tolerant and legal status for our favourite plant just like many of our friends abroad have.

Cleaning My Grinder: A Story With Questions

- The Dirty Grinder Problem -

My grinder is a few years old. It's a metal one that screws together in separate layers for grinding, ground, and kief. It has never been meaningfully cleaned. I've poked and chipped at it a bit when it got stuck. The kief catcher has been blocked for ages although I was never sure I wanted my kief caught in anything other than what I'm currently smoking in the first place. Its become more of a masher than a grinder as compacted dark resin coats much of its once sharp teeth.

- New Grinder Dreams -

I was thinking of buying a new grinder when I decided I should probably clean the current one up first to see how much that helped. One of the grinder teeth snapped off years ago and it actually really improves how the grinder works. That gap is where your bit of weed starts. If I made grinders I'd engineer a weed gap something like this in. If I bought a new grinder I'd be tempted to break a tooth off. I'm sure several people will tell me why I'm wrong about this but it's a hill I shall die on.

- I Need Alcohol -

So first thing I reached for was our good friend alcohol. That age old tale like it's the solution to all of life's problems - but it quickly became clear that poking a bit of alcohol around was inadequate for this.

Obviously more alcohol was needed. That age old tale...So the whole grinder went in for an iso bath. Cleaning it with a sacrificial toothbrush after a good soak brought it back to factory levels of cleanliness pretty quickly with all that compacted resin dissolved into the alcohol. But it had one flaw. It was now a super sticky solution. A film of glue-like stickiness had settled across every surface of the grinder. After you touched it, the same is true for you. We are back in sticky Spiderman fingers territory. More wiping with alcohol didn't seem to clean it so much as smear it onto more surfaces.

- Saving New York -

So before I started using my sticky fingers to climb buildings and save New York City from crime, I went for possibly not the best solution, but for the one within the easiest reach of my Spidey fingers. Cif cream cleaner.

- The Lemon Problem -

This dispersed the stickiness with ease using the same ex-toothbrush. I think it more thoroughly cleaned the grinder too. The problem now wasn't stickiness, it was lemonness. And not the nice lemonness one might have in their grinder. The bad lemonness that you don't want. It'd be like smoking a yellow block from a urinal if I put weed through it.

- The Wet Problem -

After some more rinsing and cleansing the problem was no longer lemonness. It was wetness. The kief mesh and the many nooks and crannies hide water away. This was a better problem to have but still a problem. After much careful patting and some hairdryering I decided some resting time was needed for full dryness.

- The Outcome -

A while later I tried it out and it's essentially like a new grinder. It twists super smoothly with ease, evenly grinding buds into useful little pieces and once more my kief is being caught.

- Kief or Thief -

Although I'm still questioning if saving kief is better than having it now. Is it robbing me under the guise of future reward? Like daylight savings when the clocks change back. We don't ever get an extra hour in bed. Merely what was once already ours has been returned. If someone stole a tenner out of your wallet in spring then gave it back to you in Autumn you would not thank them for it. So is it a kief catcher a kief thief? I'm intrigued to know people's thoughts on this one.

- New And Improved -

The grinder basically works like new but with the added toothless gap that seems to improve function for me anyway and feels like a design feature. It's my hill - my hill folks.

- Fresh and Clean -

It may not be completely radical news to many people out there but cleaning stuff makes it better. My grinds are now fresher than a brand new pair of underpants.

Okay. Before we start it's probably worth noting that I rarely order from new vendors and I've not tested any of these out. I have dabbled with new vendors in the past with mixed success rates. Some were great, some definitely weren't and many of them now don't exist on LB. Generally I order from the same reliable vendors unless I'm specifically looking for something special or something exclusive happens to catch my eye.

I guess it's also worth noting that even some usually reliable and long established vendors have either hiccups or just fall to pieces over time. So age isn't always a complete guarantee of success and happiness either.

Newbie vendors often make their mark by offering us some interesting products and wonderful bargains to tempt us away from our mainstay vendors. Some of these newbies will of course be the big vendors of the future while some will possibly not get the hang of LB.

So please remember we're all grown-up here (hard as it is to believe) and make your own choices. I admire the people who routinely roll the dice on a new vendor. Your payment is protected via escrow of course but, for me, you have to kiss too many frogs to find the prince. If you do like kissing frogs though here's some stuff that might be princely.

The Wizard of Oz.

Only a month or so in and already flying. I have noted a few interesting bits passing through here and they seem very engaged with the community.

Amongst the loveliness would be this new batch of Blue Nerds. This strain is beautiful when done correctly. A mixed blue / silver flavour that's just divine. And this looks likely to be done to perfection. I've not tried it though. It's a pricey bit but will it be princely - see what you think.

They also have an RS 11 that looks spot on in the photos. This is one of my favourite strains as well. It's got a wild mix of sweet flavours when done right.

There are some interesting products on the menu but the one that's super tempting to me personally is the White Widow x Skunk #1. I definitely wonder what old school flavours may lurk in there. Very tempting to find out I must admit. These are two very familiar strains to me from the early Dam days. I can almost smell the coffee shops just from thinking about ordering it.

It's a sort of fancy packaged American version of the familiar Moroccan hash we all know. This has my curiosity as to whether it'll be better or just the same and the price seems very fair to try. While I mostly smoke buds I do like to try various hash out. They have a few nice looking products on the menu.

Currently the vendors listed have a short trail of positivity behind them but as we all know that can change fast. For the bold adventurer there's some interesting bits out there to try.

I don’t know about anybody else however I’ve recently found myself in an online relationship with biggie, can’t help but check for new things everyday usually as I’m drinking coffee. I’m sure that some sort of online media first thing is normal to some but, not me. It is the first time in my 5 decades that I’ve been able to sample so much variety and felt comfortable chatting online. Never done socials too much of a time thief and too easy to fck shit up. I think lb has opened my eyes and mind to new things.

First time buy of the year. Seems Coinbase have changed their rules since end of year. I need to enter the Exchange sending coin to and a Name? Is the Exchange Transaxe? Can I just put any name. I havent got a Wallet usually just send it direct and dont want/know how to set up a Wallet (old technophobe Boomer). Got a 10/10 boys 2g vape couple days ago, first day was initially banging so i rated 10/10. Clogged by the second day then has somehow completely emptied itself over night last night... was left stood up right turned off and over 1g of oil has magically vaped itself dry... also feels like oil is coming out from behind the power button... feels like a complete waste of money I must've had less than 100 puff and would now rate it very low. My New Year's Resolution for 2025 is -

As we reflect upon the past year and countdown to the new one it's customary to get completely spangled and propose a radical shift in your life that you have no real long term intention of committing to once your brain is back at it's regular capacity to function. This year though I think I've come up with something manageable.

So, in the style of a reality TV show announcement, my new years resolution for 2025 is... [add tense music] [extensive pause] is... [additional long pause] is... [one more pause for added tension] is... [deep breath] is... to keep getting stoned. We have a winner.

It's predictably more business as usual than an actual resolution but I like smoking weed and it helps with pain. I'd like to claim it's medicinal use only but I definitely enjoy blazing far too much to fully convince anyone of that. However, as resolutions go, I've a high chance of sticking to this one.

So What's for 2025?

I'll likely keep picking at Green Cats bud menu. It's hard to fault price or quality with some truly exceptional bits popping up regularly.

Orange is Nice

However, the one flaw in the GC menu, as well as many other vendors offerings, is a lack of Orange flavours. There's Gelato or Kush crossed with everything but, in my opinion, a lack of Orange.

I get that I'm quite lonely in my Orange Bud Fanclub but I'm not completely alone. There are others. Mimosa is not the only orange strain either so LB vendors please open your hearts and your shops to the orangeness ticket. List it and they will come. Possibly. Don't quote me on that. They might not come. I'm copying a line from a film. It's probably a poor indicator for weed vending. Blame Kevin if in fact they don't come.

What Else?

I missed getting Piatella from The Hash Collective at Xmas as I'd overspent already when it came online so I'd hope to pick some of that up and some top spec WPFF hash as well later in the year - is it the strongest stuff ever? It's a question worth exploring.

I Am Old

I've really enjoyed having some old school gold seal over Xmas from GC for that taste of nostalgia. It's a perfect example of that old sticky black hash and probably much nicer than back in the day while retaining the essential essence of the past. Yes, it won't hit you like a cold cure jungle boys hash or a barz LA but it's still a lovely enjoyable smoke. So I expect some further old school sessions throughout the year when I see an old man's product listed and can't help but take a stumble down stoner memory lane.

You CAN Teach an Old Dog New Tricks

I'll likely update my dabbing equipment and also my vape this year. I'm liking these modern devices and chilling out like a cool kid. I'll probably try some other carts this year too although I'm less convinced by these.

More Extracts

I'll be on the lookout for the tastiest and smoothest extracts at decent prices of course. I still like a bargain. Currently I favour wax in my dab pen but I should probably experiment more.

What About Edibles?

I'll definitely continue on with my RSO and D9 cookies. That's the theme this evening in fact. It's hard to beat when you really want to be blasted into space. Which I do.

I've actually got a new recipe for cookies that I'll likely write about in the new year. It started when I didn't have a cookie mix packet so I listed the stuff I did have in the cupboard onto Chat GPT and asked it how to make cookies with it. So AI can even help you get baked it turns out. It really will take over the world one day.

So that's it, happy new year LB folks. This has been my first year on LB. I like it. Cheap quality weed and a community of potheads; what more could you want?!
