First time me and my friends smoked “weed” when we were about 12 years old… bought it off another kid, we went to one of my friends houses and mixed it with some of their dads rolling tobacco in one of those pre-roll/empty cigarettes with the filter. A few days later the person we bought it off admitted it was leaves they had picked from their garden and cut up in to small pieces.

Dealer told me to meet him at Safeway (going way back). I ended walking around, basically helping him locate everything he needed on his shopping list, then to Clinton Cards and various other shops. We finally get back to his where I was used as padding for a hastily arranged birthday for his hideous Mrs. After an hour, I said I REALLY need to grab a bag where I was told his neighbour was holding during the “party”…..I finally shuffle outside, go next door to find his neighbour lying on his doorstep in the deepest K-hole surrounded by every item formally upon his person. Out of my depth, I call time on this pitiful attempt but before I could turn around and leave, the recumbent gentleman’s Mrs storms out of the door and starts hitting me with a soaking wet Beanie Baby on a dog lead (like some sort of medieval weapon)…No explanation, no apology and ultimately, no weed 😭

I used to score off a fella who worked as a delivery driver for a Chinese takeaway. You'd order via text then when / if he got a delivery to my estate he'd pop it over. Sometimes he wouldn't get any orders up my way so he wouldn't turn up until after his shift at stupid o'clock in the morning. However, I could ring the Chinese place and order food to make sure he'd turn up within a half hour of my weed order. So I did that a lot.
The Chinese place ultimately clocked onto what he was doing and banned him from dealing.
However, it turned out that half the people ordering food there were doing it to get matey to deliver weed quicker. So half their business disappeared overnight. After a couple of weeks they had a chat to him and said he could start up again. And their business picked up again immediately.
I know it's not a horror story about waiting - I've certainly done my fair share of that - but this fella is definitely worth a mention on the street dealer hall of fame.
