got some rso. gave up smoking tobacco ages ago, wonder if i can give up smoking totally. i like it in a drink - does anyone have any tips for stirring it in and not just getting it stuck to the spoon and the mug and having to lick it off - it's really sticky! just got some distillate to try, it's even worse! like glue! i mean, i could just eat it i suppose, but i like a hot drink. anyone else take this stuff?

been waiting for postman to deliver an order from gassed - just turned up, 4 hrs late (still ndd though - thx gassed, excellent service) - flat tyre maybe? anyway, every time i have to wait for something in the post i get so anxious and wound up i'm like a junkie on the cluck, and it's not like i don't think it's going to turn up or the police will get me or anything - i'm pretty sure it's just stored up anxiety from having to score in the 80s and 90s. is anyone else like this? or am i just some sort of fiend?

just bought an eighth of the cheapest hash, an eighth of the cheapest bud and a quarter of cheap shake from the gentlemen dealers to mix up together in joints for a budget smoke. tastes a bit sub par of course (although surprisingly ok for all that - i also highly recommend the gentlemen dealers full price products and commend their excellent customer service and delivery) but the high is fantastic - warm, buzzy and happy like good moroccan, but also trippy and strong. i very often get good results from mixing varieties, not just cheap stuff in january either - does anyone else like to do this?

I find if I smoke all the time it gets pretty ropey pretty quickly - all the effects I want disappear and i just end up lazy, stupid and paranoid - so most of the time I don't smoke at all, then, every now and again I'll get totally fucking wasted 24/7 for two or three weeks. Like a holiday. Does anyone else do this, or similar? I do like to get, like, REALLY stoned, morning to night, mind, when I am smoking. Can't really do that every day.
That's an interesting smoking style. I like the sound of those 2 or 3 weeks!

To a lesser extent I do this. I fluctuate between less and more rather than loads and nothing lol.

Although, if I get some really nice bud, I will smoke more rather than less 🤣 it's all a false economy.

Has anybody smoked any synthetic cannabis of any sort? I haven't. Just got some flower from very reputable dealer but it is nasty. Not like a cannabis high, more like fucking glue or something. Do unscrupulous dealers spray shit weed with spice? Or am I being paranoid? Or am I only feeling paranoid 'cause I'm fucked up on this shitty chemically high? What is spice like?
I'm not saying it's never happened, but I reckon the occurrences of spice contamination are largely overstated tbf mate. I have seen people after spice and they are honestly like fuckin zombies.

I wouldn't worry tbf mate. You didn't name the vendor so you're not accusing anybody of spice spraying. It is helpful in ways to ask questions like this for other biggas with similar worries.

I don't think the whole "weed spraying" thing is an actual thing, more an urban legend. Probably just shitty weed. If it's too much in the head, it was likely harvested too early.

in my experience, what sort of an experience you have depends greatly on how much of the ibotenic acid you manage to convert into muscimol before ingesting. it is the ibotenic acid which is toxic, and if you ingest much of it you will have a very bad experience. muscimol degrades at a slightly higher temperature than ibotenic acid, so it is down to keeping the drying temperature within a fairly tight limit - a very few degrees either side of 95C - for a sufficient period - 3 to 4 hours, or even longer if the temperature is at all uneven. don't fuck it up - it is very tricky to do in your kitchen, and poisoning yourself whilst tripping is not fun.
there are other ways to achieve the desired reaction if you have the skills, you could google them if you are interested. i have never tried any of them, but simmering them in water at an accurately measured 95C for 3-4 hours might be a good way i suppose - although the resulting gloop will undoubtedly taste appalling.
people talk about fly agaric trips being dark or heavy - if you process them correctly this isn't really true, it's just that it is difficult to do properly and many people don't realise that you have to. if you can sufficiently convert or degrade nearly all of the ibotenic acid it is certainly an odd, dissociative experience, but not unpleasant - a little bit like dmt tempered strongly with codeine, if that helps, so if anything tending towards rather fuzzy and warm. if you fail to do so it is likely to be a dark, deathlike, nightmarishly awful experience and can also cause serious liver damage and even kill you.

It’s quite a couchy and kind of darker experience than Psylocybin. You also have to be careful about dosage as high doses can be toxic.
I’ve only done it once or twice and can’t say the experience was bad, but it’s definitely dissociative to a degree and takes you to a darker realm. Perhaps similar to things like Datura.
I’d say approach with some caution. Definitely parboil the mushrooms before ingesting as this will reduce the Ibotenic Acid content which is poisonous.

After 20 years of experience, I've come to believe there are so many other factors at play, that whether it's an Indica or Sativa is rendered borderline irrelevant.
I've certainly never had a bud that's made me run around like that athlete kid in Breakfast Club.

I think its more complicated than people think
If i vape Animal Mints or Obama Runtz at 180c I get sativa effects. If it vape Gorilla Glue 12 at 230c I will get indica effects. Yes smoking brings out the expected effects but the fact I can tweak the effects via temp makes me think its not as easy as indica/sativa
Furthermore, some sativas like Acapulco Gold or J1 are like a cup of coffee in the morning. Legit clear headed energy. Something like the Pink Lady is a sativa but it is more chilled. I think terpenes have a very big part to play in it. Maybe the kush terp has indica effects and that's why despite being a sativa, the Pink Lady doesn't hit like the J1 for example. I'm rambling a bit here but I hope you all get what I mean

I spent close to a year living in Amsterdam. With exceptional quality buds, you can expect to receive the typical couch lock and sedation with a good Indica and a buzzy euphoric racing high with a solid Sativa.

I got the Hawaiian Haze at Katsu - don't know about up or down, but totally debilitating. Didn't want to go to sleep, sure, but couldn't hold a conversation..
There's a difference for me, stick to indica strains as sativa always seems to make the heart race and the anxiety then comes on and spoils the high. Maybe all in my head but happens everytime.

I've smoked 26 years, used to smoke anything and enjoy it all but now I notice a huge difference between the effects of sativas and indicas, every time I obtain an indica strain it's hugely relieving for my ptsd and post cancer surgery pains, and sativas almost always give me nasty anxiety. I'll still smoke them tho, because I'm an addict haha
I agree. Sativa is far more likely to make me anxious, whereas Indica is just a lovely, warm brain hug.
I think this is it, I’ve smoked for 20 years but didn’t notice the difference until really started to pay attention and start to use for medical rather than recreational reasons there is 0 doubt in my mind there is a very easily notiible difference. It’s natures way so everyone can be helped by this wonderful medicine, Sativa to speed things up, indica to slow things down. No one will convince me otherwise on this I’m certain if I was given a heavy sativa dom and n indica I’d know the difference within a few tokes

For me, I believe it to be true to a certain extent. I find with sativa heavy strains I feel a buzz in my head and it's above my ears. With indica heavy it's below my ears and I'm definitely more lazy. It's not a massive difference for me though. My mind tends to wander and think about more random bollocks with a sativa too. Who knows maybe it's all in the mind. All this energetic stuff I see is pure bullshit for me though. If I'm high, not much is getting done.
There are many factors that contribute to an overall feeling. I wouldn’t say Sativa/Indica is the dominating answer. That’s like saying my only expression is sad or happy... However, things get a bit more technical when you dig into it. Being able to simply explain an estimate sensation to buyers in percentage i20s80 is hugely beneficial. It helps people learn about what they’re buying, that’s not a bad thing

It’s all about harvest times. If you let the sativas trichromes go amber, then you might get a couch lock. Similarly if you harvest your indica when the trichromes are clear, then you might feel creative and focused;)

Dude pulls out a very straggly and wispy looking bud from Oregon, puts it into a bowl and we fire it up. So, I lived in Seattle for nearly 10 years and smoked on the daily and there wasn't any drastic difference in the effects of the many different strains on the go except for this one time that will forever stick with me. I had been smoking a typical kush number with dense nugs for most of the day before heading out to a place for hot wings with my mate. Dude pulls out a very straggly and wispy looking bud from Oregon, puts it into a bowl and we fire it up. This is without a doubt important to me, after years of trial and error, I've discovered my ideal is a hybrid around 80 indica and 20 sativa, so pretty much something like a og kush or something, I've found a more sativa dominant strain will mess with my head, I get hyperactive and often get headaches, I can instantly tell if the weed isn't right for me, I think it depends upon you, personally I smoke for pain relief and mainly to switch off, I like the real stoned feeling you get from indica, it's like a warm blanket for your brain, I do have a very active mind so this suits me, of course each strain and type affects us in different ways, I can't say I've really every enjoyed sativa dominant strains but when I have smoke it I find it goes really quickly as it doesn't hit the spot, I'd say I'd be active with sativa as a rule if I had to smoke it .....
Same although I can’t really do any sativa. Just pure Indica and a nice red wine and I’m in my happy place.

It usually is one person who bred the strain, will smoke it and say this makes me feel couchlock or uplifting and then give it an approximate rating.

Personally regardless of the weed is indica or sativa its the terp profile like for couch lock it would have to contain a good amount of mycrene to get this effect other terp profiles do different things I would imagine if it was indica or sativa and didnt have enough of the terp profile in either of them for what ur desired effect I dont think it's down sativa or indica more of what terp profile that weed carrys
I too have about 20 years experience smoking different strains, including solids. I normally smoke 'bud' though.
The last solid i smoked had hardly any effect on me at all - it used to make me really 'horni', 20 years ago.
However, i do notice a difference between Indicas and Sativas. I do a physical job and an Indica strain does take the aches & pains of old age away, for me personally.

I've smoked, vaped, eaten it for over 50 years. Travelled around most of the producing countries of the East & Africa in the 70s. Grown much and spent time with several breeders too. Indica, Sativa and Ruderalis are real. A zillion hybrids confuse the Taxonomy thse days.

The interaction between terpene levels and cannabinoids is most likely the explanation for the perceived differences between indica and sativa.

There's definitely a difference in high between cultivars with the tropical 'Sativas ' generally being more energetic and psychoactive but now that everything is a hybrid , these classifications don't make a lot of sense anymore.

I don’t know really. A lot of it is down to the grower and how good they are. That has the most influence on affect for me.
Depends on the cannabinoids present in the weed/hash you are smoking,while THC gets you stoned and is the one everybody knows about the other cannabiniods also have different effects on your body,the fact most cannabis plants are now hybrids you are getting a mix of both Indica and Sativa cannabiniods so yea no real difference.

Indica strains are the "Netflix and chill" of cannabis, known for their sedative effects that can leave you comfortably glued to the couch. On the other hand, Sativa strains are the "let's paint the living room" of cannabis, renowned for their uplifting and creative effects that can get you off the couch and into an artistic frenzy. Am I hitting the right notes here?
Interesting post, I have been thinking the same myself recently. Been smoking 20 years and I have always seeked out indicas as I preferred the couch lock but I have recently been trying to try a few sativas to try and get more of a creative high. found nothing yet, any suggestions on a strain if not just looking for a sativa?
I generally dislike pure sativas and hazes, but super silver haze is the exception for me, I've really enjoyed that many times worth considering have seen some listed on here
Dr Grinspoon, Sour Diesel, Ghost Train Haze, Mimosa. To name a few Sativa's. I spent close to a year living in Amsterdam, and I definitely noticed the difference. Sativa's or hybrids, will leave you buzzed, so best to only smoke these either morning or afternoon. Save the indica for late night, or a day on the couch with TV.

The Wire - best thing ever written. Slow burner due to complication of story, but it is relatable as the war on drugs does not have a start or end to it, and street dealing doesn't just start, therefore you are immediately immersed in the story without even realising. Only figured that out the second time watching it. Also some great visual metaphors throughout. Also note there is no cue music to instigate feelings. All music is from source, i.e. car radio, night club. Only cue music is when Avon enters the lowrisers for the first time
The Ozark - Although breaking bad is good, it's not worth the hype. This is the older cooler brother of breaking bad. Calculated and intense at times. Story is always moving forward with real character progression
Altered Carbon - Absolutely fantastic sci-fi with great visuals and a great story line. Really left me itching to read the book, and I'm not a sci-fi fan
Arrested Development - Intelligent comedy with so much layered jokes you can watch this five times and still find punch lines you never noticed before
People Just Do Nothing - Threw this on not expecting much which is perhaps why I found it to be so good. Off the wall characters made completely believable by the actors playing the parts. Excellent idea, excellent execution.
Peep Show - This is a classic, you need to watch this
Trailer Park Boys - Another classic everyone here should be able to relate to
Big Mouth - Great for a background watch, but really funny and does take you back to your teenage years at times, haha
Fargo - Beautiful cinematography, great story captured very close to the original film. Billy Bob absolutely shines in this role in season one
Life On Mars - Made in early naughties, but just as relevant as today
Dark Tourist - good short run of a different kind of travel show. The kind of travel I like too
The Wolves Of Yellowstone - Nature documentary that has a story line Walt Disney would be proud of. Really makes you realise the balance of nature

Dark on Netflix. German show about time travel set in a village where kids keep going missing every 33 years. Stunning production values, really intricately plotted, three series, all ties together. Loved it. Has an English dub but the German audio with subtitles is best.
End of the fucking world is really good. Strange and offbeat which I like. With some characters that don’t give a fuck. And it’s British and very relatable (even though it’s about a lad that thinks he’s a psychopath haha).

Yeah I agree, I liked BB a lot but I came to it a bit late and like UKgrower hearing the hype maybe expected too much. Better call Saul I didn’t expect much of at all, didn’t think it’d get past Series 1 but now I think it’s better than BB.

Yo UK Grower. I have just discovered Channel Zero on StarZplay, prime add on. It’s a really good horror series, twisted stuff, defo a bit freaky.
To any one who likes comedies don't be put off What We Do in the Shadows, it's vampires but it's not really a "vampire" type show.... it's really funny when high and the second series has just come out on iplayer.
If you're into Sci-fi I'd highly recommend Altered Carbon on Netflix. Really cool story and visuals. I seen somebody recommended Ozark, excellent as well. If you like animation and feel like a laugh give Rick and Morty a watch, The Midnight Gospel is also new to Netflix but really trippy / funny in my opinion. Happy watching!

i liked that a lot more than i thought i would. also, colony on netflix even though it was killed by covid and never finished.
I almost pissed myself with laughter watching the first episode as I watched the trailer but wasn't really for how out there this really is. A must watch for any sci fi and gaming fan or if you have a sick sense of humour like me :)

Since it hasn’t been mentioned here , it only proves how massively underrated Wilfred is . Had great laughs :) U.S. version of an Australian cult sitcom about a meek young man and a pot-smoking talking dog named Wilfred (actually actor Jason Gann in a dog suit, whom everyone else sees as just a dog). If you liked Breaking Bad you might like Better Call Saul... it's slower but the writing and cinematography are actually better imo. Plus by S5 the pace is basically on BB levels.

just call Saul was better than breaking bad in some ways (last series a bit disappointing tho). Always interested to see if people liked the Midnight Gospel (single series, animation, also Netflix).

A pro thief / seriously tough guy played by Anthony Starr ( Homelander from the boys) rolls into town, assumes the identity of a recently deceased new Sheriff that no one has met yet. Boom, he's now the law in town and is actually very good at stopping crime. Insane realistic violence, Amish gangsters, bikers, native American mafia and lots more, best show I've ever seen

The Man in the High Castle is loads of fun, especially if you’re a fan of PKD. Classic UK series that are great: Line of Duty, The Fall, Peep Show, Monty Python’s Flying Circus
Succession is better than you'd think. Punisher is the best out of all the Marvel shows, Daredevil is also very watchable (and Jessica Jones if you're into angry women with PTSD). Umbrella Academy is fun to watch. The Magicians ditto. Also The Boys.

Fargo is probably the best series ever after GOT. Better Call Saul was brilliant too after a slow start. Better than Breaking Bad for me.
All the seasons are good and different stories so don't need to watch in order. All true apparently. The movie's a bit dated now but a great watch too.
Murder Mountain on Netflix. An oldie but a goodie. All about the emerald triangle in California and how it moved from illegal weed growing into legalisation and the lawless nature of the industry.

Hey biggas, IV been off tobacco now for 2 years but still smoking abit of green, one thing I do miss is a nice long joint, could anyone recommend a substitute for tobacco as it's expensive smoking blunts and prefer the smoking experience of a j, I've also tried vaping but didn't particularly like it
i know exactly what you mean, gave up fags 10y+ ago now & miss them like a hole in the head - a nice long joint is a different matter though. you can just buy cheap shake to use as a smoking mix or herbs like people have suggested but honestly i think it's actually the buzzy nicotine/weed combination we're really missing so probs no solution for that. i just smoke really small joints of bud, mostly, like americans in old films.
Can second the marshmallow leaf. Doesn't take long to get used to and actually adulterates the terps a lot less. Burns fine but quicker than tobacco cos its dry but its way better on your lungs and makes great zoots.

I’ve been through this same dilemma a few years ago. At first I used NTB’s, they came in a pack like fags. It’s a mix of herbs and fairly inoffensive. But eventually I was just making tiny blunts. Then I gave up combustion completely and got a S&B Mighty +… it’s not the same, it’s just not but I have gotten used to it. It can feel like hard work puffing my through 400mg of flower though. Now if I smoke a blunt it’s like eating an ashtray, so gross! I have really enjoyed live resin carts, they really hit the spot. I think the future is rosin, either dabbing or decarbing for carts. You get the hit of the whole fruit and it’s so convenient in a cart.
Ah, one other thing I tried was camomile straight out of a tea bag, don’t do that, it’s horrible.

I've been using a product called real leaf a mix of marshmallow,mullein and raspberry leaves. It's great...smooth no roughness on the exhale
I either buy some low key landrace (Thai etc) or keep hold of a pleasant but weak strain in a jar for a long time, then use that when I want a blunt. Mostly smoke hash worms rolled with it though
I went through a period of using Damiana leaf after talking to a coffee shop owner in Dam and trying it. They banned tobacco in the coffee shops I seem to remember. Not the same as tobacco but quite pleasant.

On shrooms I watched my wall breathing and it kept inhaling and inhaling. I remember telling it to breath out cos it could hold it all in and I honestly saw it exhale and felt the house move 😅

Not weirdest or funniest but something I see often from psychedelics is I look at a tree and the leaves and branches are growing and growing it's almost like i'm watching a sped up video of the trees lifespan, i'm sure others know what im talking about

Was travelling when I was younger and living in Kings Cross Sydney, I’d heard that there was a cafe there that sold a bit of weed if you asked for certain things, anyway went in there, ordered and managed to get some, went back to my flat up the road, skinned up, smoked it and was smashed, put the tv on and they had a live broadcast on the national news if the cafe I’d just left getting full on raided by the police, spun me right out! 😆😂

Ate a big mdma crystal lol and was smoking a bong tripped out massively is hard to describe but I saw photos of people’s lives, random stuff for example a family sat at a beach and I was watching like photo frames of their holiday, it was so real. Then I was in some Middle East country and saw a village that was being pillaged by men with turbans with massive knives it was like a moment from history that I got to watch wouldn’t have been my first pick lol. I saw this thing then it was like the most beautiful piece of art I’ve ever seen it was like a Chinese dragon it was yellow and blue the colours were so vibrant I have no idea what it was but it was absolutely stunning honestly indescribably beautiful not of this world something my mind wouldn’t be able to think up. I started to come down then and opened my eyes and the flinstones was playing on this big mirror in my room. The come down was horrendous I had work the next day, needless to say I didn’t make it in. Unbelievable experience though. Made me realise there is something else.

I arrived to a campsite a bit later than planned and the main entrance was blocked off, no contact or anything to get in after hours so we drove about a bit and eventually decided to set up camp on a bit of grass next to an electrical sub station.
Bizarrely we had some battery on the laptop so we put an episode of always sunny in philadelphia on and sparked a spliff. Out of nowhere a helicopter flew over and started circling above us with its search beam blazing. It carried on with its beam over the fields next to us and disappeared. No one ever came to ask us any questions 🤷♂️

I was on acid in a city centre one Friday (bad idea in the first place), and to cut a long story short I saw a group of clowns that really freaked me out (some fancy dress thing) and a hot air balloon... the hot air balloon thing wouldn't have been abnormal at all if not for the 2 mates I was with telling me I was seeing shit... I didn't wanna freak myself out so didn't think too much into it and didn't look up again. I didn't clock on for like 2 weeks that there actually was a hot air balloon... that's the one time I've tripped in a town/city centre and honestly, fuck that shit. Even just having to walk through/past crowds was a nightmare. Doesn't sound too extreme but you gotta remember that when you're on acid you're a lot more vulnerable and prone to mindfuckery. Also caught a free gig from a car park and saw one hell of a performance by buskers that day.
Had a few dmt sessions, as time goes on you can see those trips and what they were exactly a lot clearer than at the time.

Eating a Q of Soap bar ( It was 1999🙄) then going to see Star Wars episode 1 opening day in July 1999.

i was once sitting on the wall at the end of my street smoking a joint - this at about three o'clock in the morning and it's a quiet village - when i heard a terrible noise in the distance, a terrible screaming sound moving toward me like someone playing a krzysztof penderecki record on a mobile disco truck - just horrible - and as it got closer and closer, i was getting mildly concerned about what it might be.
then, from out of the darkness into the illumination of the solitary corner streetlamp, came one of my neighbour's cats, a great big thing four times the size of all the others, running down the middle of the road bolt upright on its hind legs, waving its front paws in the air, surrounded by about a dozen other cats all running normally on all fours, all screaming at the tops of their voices. up close, they were quite loud - it was one of the worst, most painful noises i have ever heard, like a classroom full of burning children. they ran right past me, up the hill and over the top until the sound disappeared. the thing was, i wasn't even that stoned - i'd only just lit my bloody joint - and i'm pretty sure this was actually real.
i knew the cat, it was a very expensive looking tiger striped pedigree crossbreed, lovely and friendly and absolutely fearless and rather inevitably went missing not long afterwards. i hope it just got nicked, i really liked it.

Not weird as such but life changing. Warning this is going to get very dark. Me and my two best mates were tripping on acid. We were probably about 15. Anyway we were in the house of one of them and the other two were talking while I wandered off. Long story short I came back and I thought they were laughing at me. Paranoia struck deep. I suddenly had an extremely strong desire to go in the kitchen and get a knife and stab them. Fortunately something inside told me to walk out and go home instead. Thank fuck I did because if I hadn't my life would have taken a very different course. Sorry, I warned you it was going to get dark. Scares the fuck out of me thinking about it over 50 years later.
Wow! I'm not surprised it scared the fuck out of you. I suppose it's kind of like when you have a dream you do something horrendous to someone you love; it doesn't necessarily reflect how you really feel, and you can feel as though "Dream you" and "Real you" are different, separate people. Thanks for sharing ;) x

So I did the route where the Dr's medicated me, honestly don't put yourself through that. I found I felt focused but other aspects I was less focused, my anger levels were through the roof and I could flip over the most minor stuff! I've now been clear of meds for around 7-8 months now. I have dabbled a bit in shrooms, had some messages come through (I don't know whether that was my subconscious talking to me). I still find day to day stuff a struggle but who doesn't, am I right?
I keep seeing some ads for adhd apps which can help, they add routine to your life which it seems you are lacking. Drink plenty of water, exercise (I should do this myself) read, learn a new skill.
One of my mains struggles as an adhd adult is a lot of the advice given to me involved doing what I enjoy, which is where my issue came. I had gotten to a point where I didn't know what I enjoyed anymore, some days I still don't. That's a difficult hurdle to overcome or at least it was for me!

My partner and I are both ADHD (my partner possibly AuDHD)
I'm medicated with amphetamines, my partner not.
I find the meds helpful - they help me most in regulating my emotions more than I am able to do on my own. I find I'm more patient, more able to organise, and calmer.
My partner self medicates with green, but it doesn't really do much for him (from my perspective) other than making him feel less anxious.
I've been considering looking into l-tyrosine supplements (also called l-dopa) as these are the initial building blocks of dopamine in the brain. Might also try adding l-tryptophane as well, for a serotonin boost.
Sleep, for me, is the most important thing. Regular, good, long enough sleep. If you've got poor sleep hygiene, I'd suggest starting there to see if you can help yourself feel better without meds or chemicals.

I took lytosine it helped me short term and also becopa helped but after a couple months benefits seemed to stop, have managed to buy some modafinil from a website which helped me as well for a bit but been waiting 3 years to get seen when I was on ADHD meds as a kid and now mid 30s , life was eye opening and upsetting how well methelthedrate helped my mind when I had the chance to try again a few years ago just a waiting game and hoping they will help me
you should speak to your gp about your legal right to choose, you can be referred to a private clinic for assessment/treatment and the nhs will pay, adhduk website has a right to choose page with the different providers

Avoid the meds, it never helps, I was misdiagnosed ADHD as a late teen and put on straterra (atomoxetine) 80mg, they wanted me on 120mg due to size & weight but the 80mg caused me to have a psychotic episode and tried to jump off a flyover after about 4-5 months on the straterra. After crisis team etc got involved, I pulled off the meds completely and took to MJ for the first time (was anti-smoking my entire life until that point).
If you were to go down that road, check out shroom microdosing, I tend to grab some cheap shake when I need a t-break and just smoke it like a tobacco substitute until it runs dry and by that point my tolerance drops some and then the good flower is like a nice treat.
Ultimately though these things are very personal in experience and no two folks even with the same symptoms and diagnosis won't live the same lives with the same outcomes and effects.. the real advice is you need to centre yourself and be OK being who you are, conditions don't define us - they are a part of us, no different than accepting your ears or fingers.

Diagnosed mixed type at 38 in February. Still titrating. Concerta XL had minimal effects apart from making me sweat excessively.
About to start Elvanse in the next day or two.
Hoping for improvement from elvanse or else I will probably just got MC route.
Oh and the amount of folks without any experience who told me lion's mane is more effective than stimulants 🤣

noopept is a relatively benign peptide developed for cosmonauts in the 1970s. it has a clean record since then and is very helpful for focus
i know how bad this is to hear, but literally anything you take every day will stop working sooner or later and now you still have adhd but now a drug problem too. drugs are a terrible way to address any chronic problem, a real last resort - they can be a good way to chill out for a bit if you're exhausted or if you just need a change of perspective, and they're certainly cheaper than five star hotels - but don't underestimate how long cannabis tolerance can take to fade or how much even a mild dependence (if you have a tolerance, you have a dependence) can disrupt your life, especially sleep, especially if you are adhd. learn to live with neurodiversity (there is some good advice in other people's comments - don't eat sugar or processed food much), then get high now and again for a break from having to - that's my advice, although how relevant it is for you i have no idea. also, t breaks need to be looong. if you have a high tolerance, really looong. thc gets dissolved in the fat in your body and takes ages to leech back out. you'll see what i mean.
whatever it ends up taking, you'll get the hang eventually and life'll get a lot easier. honestly, you'll already feel a lot better after a t break. do it now.

But speed does the exact same job, it’s literally the same thing so if you know a whizz guy that’s the best thing. So says all the science

Apparently, from a medical source, cannabis is no good for adhd. You need stimulating, I mean coffee not coke lol.
We disagree somewhat with this because we’ve found micro dosing with sativa dominant actually has profound benefits for adhd :)
coffee makes me so instantly tired it's crazy, I don't drink it any more but if I can't sleep a few shots of espresso knocks me right out lol

I'm Audhd and officially unmedicated, gf is adhd and medicated but that has all been private cos of the waiting list. She finds it really helps her, and I've known others it has worked for but also there are lots who find it doesn't work so well for them.
I don't really have an awful lot of advice other than chase up the place that you're waiting for, and ask to be put on cancellations list or whatever it is called so they call you if someone cancels their appointment.

Don't sit on the NHS waiting list mate you'll never get there, google Right To Choose ADHD. For adult ADHD referrals you can get them to refer you private but u still don't have to pay, just skips the insane waiting times. I got diagnosed at 30 and medicated and it changed my life. I really thought I had chronic fatigue or some shit everything was such a struggle I couldn't do anything for more than an hour without feeling exhausted, would spend half the day at work staring at my monitor trying to find the motivation to do anything. I still struggle but it's like a veil is lifted feeling like "is this what it's like for everyone else?" It's not a miracle pill and it's not done much for my forgetfulness or distraction but it really helps so much. But I'm inattentive not hyperactive so might depend what your probs are.

overall same. have you looked at your Magnesium Levels? once I stopped taking the Magnesium supplement before going to bed, I slept much better.

For me the most noticeable change is the legalization in America. I used to pride myself with keeping up with the latest genetics when most seedbanks were Dutch. This is now impossible with the explosion in the US, albeit for the better as the choice of seeds/genetics is staggering now.
With regard to smoking, since I found LB in 2021 it's been a game changer for me. I've always provided myself with excellent weed and hash (I'm a dry sifter) but the choice of cannabis products available now is just fantastic.
Cannabis has been my favourite subject/hobby/business for a long time now, I absolutely love the plant and age will never change that.

I've recently started with live resin disposable/cart, the convenience is great however the flavor cannot compare to nice bud in the dynavap (or my electric dry herb vape). I'm 31 not 50 but have been a canna enthusiast since I was 13, over the past 18 years my approach has always evolved. Biggest shifts were when I cut out tobacco from spliffs at 20 and then cut smoking completely for vaping about 4 years ago (cannot smoke at all now). Having 2 kids also changed my consumption a lot. The dynavap allowed me to consumer daily and still only consume like an 8th a month!
56 and no my habits have not changed still like a big joint,i have tried most of these new fangled ways to smoke hashish but to be honest they are just the same as digging out the old hot knives imo and i dont always want to be totally baked like you get from things like the knives just well done from a big joint and i am happy.
I'm going to be 50 later this year. I'm using the Mighty + I have been for a good year or so now and love it
i'm thinking those of us over 50 should probably be called something more historically appropriate than biggas, but i honestly can't think of anything any less racist than a kia-ora ad from pearl & dean. any suggestions, anyone?

Ive had two off super hans which top the list for me. His pink cookies was absolute fire, absolute jetfuel, and the gelato 45, last christmas was so good, despite being $100 a henry, (a price i swore i’d never pay, i went back 3 times). That was absolutely exceptional.
there was a sativa that next day uk had way back when, it may not be my best strain since but it really stands out. i had only bought off the street before and i simply couldn't believe anything about the experience. a miracle!

I find it impossible to watch films when I'm stoned, I want to pause every scene for one reason or another, look at the background, look up a reference, you name it. Even in the theater I wind up distracted by my own thoughts and unable to recall much at all.

What?! How has this come up? Do you have a long term account or recently signed up? Never had this ever. You presumably get yourself a non-KYC wallet, select the first option when sending to this, then send to LB afterwards. Used them for ages but always used only a couple of wallet addresses.

Hi everyone :) I was wondering if someone has any advice on what to buy for pain relief.
The person suffers rheumatoid arthritis in her spine and suffers from chronic pain. No medication touches it any more and the last resort according to the Dr's is morphine or what shes already on, she also has atrial fibrillation (AF) and the AF has always deterred her away from weed for pain.
But she's at a point where she would try anything now.
Would any of you be able to kindly suggest something (nothing that involves smoking tho)
Any help would be cool pls,

RSO. different strains are different though, the same as flower, so maybe try a few different ones. gassed's is a nice, relaxing medicinal feeling indica, tasty too, rocketdogronnie's FECO is expensive but worth it, black gold's RSO is excellent value and very very strong but there are a few choices on lb - someone has mentioned some others in another comment. perhaps, if RSO works well for her, your friend could build a relationship with one of the smaller, friendlier, maybe less established vendors on lb (there are a few) and experiment with different strains to find the most effective. i know that if i was a vendor i would very much want a long term regular repeat customer like her, and the opportunity to experiment with different strains and extraction techniques which i could then market to other long term sufferers along with useful advice and information gleaned would be invaluable. a goldmine, surely?
if your friend were to take too much RSO (which will almost certainly happen at some point - count on it) it could be fairly unpleasant (especially for an inexperienced user - panic attacks can happen) but some sort of strong CBD product, a couple of 1200mg capsules from holland and barrett or something, will make everything better in about fifteen minutes. keep some handy and your friend will always be fine while she experiments (it is hard to get the dose right and the correct dose can fluctuate, too, so get her to hold on to the caps. if she ever takes too much CBD, nothing particularly will happen. blocked ears, maybe?).

just a word on tolerance - i don't know what sort of dose your friend's going to need, but unless the dose is very low tolerance is likely to build up over time. unlike opiate and opioid medication, it can be very effectively and quite easily reversed by just stopping taking rso for two or three weeks - remember with very very high doses your friend will need to ease off gradually, lower doses she can just stop and it'll be fine - hit the prescription medication a bit harder for a short while and then the rso will start working again just as well as when she first started. four weeks for a total reset, two or three will be most of it though. if it seems like consumption is creeping up, it might not be the arthritis getting worse, try having a tolerance break.
i hope this all helps. opiates/ioids are actually pretty useless at dealing with long term pain, if the RSO works effectively enough - and i hope it does - i would suggest coming off them completely (really slowly - cut down gradually over months and months), then they will work well again for a while at least if things ever get really really bad and she needs them. also, morphine is - subtly so, but nonetheless - quite nasty. it is a powerful hypnotic and although a far from unpleasant feeling, whole days can go missing on it. it is well worth faking a bad reaction to it to get diamorphine instead, but neither are really effective for long term pain and they are both quite toxic and highly addictive, even if they do work a treat in the short term. make sure she keeps taking the paracetamol, though, it does a lot more than you think.

I'd say number 1 - I've not used rizla for years but that moisture trap card is the best material for roach. I guess, in a way, Rizla had complete market control over the rolling paper sector here for years & would be an interesting study as they didn't make the products their own customers wanted / needed. And now you can get raw / ocb etc in every corner shop. I wonder how much of that would have happened had rizla just thought, "hey our customers love the green card. Let's give them more of it. Like 50 joints worth."

Help swapping to bud from carts?
I’ve been using d9/resin carts for about 2 years to help my bipolar & i’ve slowly found they just barely get me high anymore or help my bipolar symptoms/insomnia. Will swapping to bud help this and if so, where shall i start? Not skilled in rolling, but any advice on what to do next regarding bud/hash/concentrates would be great as littlebiggy has been a saviour for my mental health!

I would say that d9 high feels shallow anyway compared to decent bud. The high you get with bud may hit you like a train.
If I was you, I would start with some decent hash and see how you feel with that before you decide move on to bud.
I would take at least a month off the carts and maybe try a 100% Live Resin cart from one of the vendors that now offer this - when your tolerance has lowered.
If you want to do joints, I would buy a rolling mat or something to help you with the rolling.

I’m certainly no expert but what I have read is that carts are very concentrated. Your body will build tolerance to the THC fairly quickly if you consume regularly.
It may be the case that you’ve built a strong tolerance, which is why you need more to feel any effects. If that is so, I’m not sure that switching to bud / hash would be that helpful. Have you tried taking a tolerance break? I appreciate that’s quite challenging given that you use it to treat your symptoms :(

I use a Mighty, which is quite pricey but very good. I use that for both herb and hash. Check out a subreddit called vaporents on Reddit that should have plenty of helpful info.

Edibles are interesting because ingested THC can be very different to inhaled. Liver enzymes mean we all experience edibles differently- some people are almost immune to them, others (like me!) get wonderfully high for hours on a tiny dose. You’ll need to discover your own level by starting small.
If I was you I would start with a chocolate bar. Stoney’s Chocoloony from Pistach is a great product. Eat just a single chunk (c.20mg THC) and wait 40 minutes. I would be high (and it’s a lovely high) for about 4hours on that but there are Biggas that would eat half the bar (250mg!🤯) or even more. Your cart tolerance won’t decide your edible tolerance so fingers crossed yours might be low🤞🏼 and therefore great value!
If you think that you would prefer jellies to chocolate check out Bald Eagle Bakery. I strongly recommend you start at 20mg or less so if you buy 50mg jellies then slice them in three. You can always go up over time.

Sorry to hear your meds aren't as effective now, it could be that using concentrates alone has risen your tolerance quite a bit, i manage this by switching things up like you're going to do, was wondering if you had considered trying RSO though?

i'd never tried rso, but have been using it for a couple of months now. gassed's is tasty and good and an indica with a strong 'medicinal', sleepy kind of high (if you want knocking out, this one is excellent), black gold has a sativa which is a bit cheaper and stronger and more thc-y and knocked me out a bit less (more than smoking sativa does though), i liked them both - i don't know about the others. if you want to be consistently stoned to a certain level all the time (i assume that's what you want, right? for medical?), it is definitely the way to go, much better than smoking or vaping for consistency and duration - about four hours for me off of a good dose, also, for value, unbeatable. getting the dose right is key though - you will need to experiment a lot but if you take too much, some sort of strong cbd product will sort you out well enough though. just keep some handy and you will be fine. i have some 1200mg cbd caps from holland and barrett and a couple of them will fix any whitey (which you will definitely precipitate at least once whilst experimenting). it does take a fair bit of getting used to, rso, it's a different effect but for what you seem to want it has to be worth trying (with the proviso that it can affect different people quite differently depending on how your liver works. tbh, i tend to find edibles weak but rso i just have a bit more 'cause it's cheap). also, i agree about rotation (especially swapping between sativas/indicas) so it should probably be a part of the mix at least, and remember you can still smoke/vape on top to fine tune things with the rso in the background. staying high all the time is difficult, tolerance creeps up on you quite quickly and takes a long time to go down - i find three weeks or a month to go back to square one completely but two weeks is nearly all of the way back, and a week helps quite a bit. d9 is about the worst way to get high imo, though, so don't worry, you have a lot of options left yet and they are all better, t breaks are going to be a thing though sooner or later though. hopefully, not very often if you get a regime that suits you better - i'm not familiar with your symptoms obviously, but as far as i understand it cannabis withdrawal (which is definitely a thing) is only going to make them a lot worse. bipolar can make it hard to control your moods and impulses, is that right? i get like that anyway in withdrawal, angry, depressed, confused and i can't sleep for days. if you have bipolar/ptsd anyway i'm not surprised a sudden stop feels intolerable. only lasts a few days though. you could taper down to a t break, if you taper off over a week or two then that would help with the withdrawal symptoms but it would of course make the whole process longer. try it, see if it helps maybe? if it's only once a year or so... idk. if you take cannabis for long enough, it will stop working eventually whatever you do, but a break will fix things completely and you can start again. if you can't make a joint, buy a bong or a pipe if you want but remember smoking is really bad for you, rso/edibles/vapes not so much (not sure about vapes, actually, but a lot better than smoking surely). one of my stoneyest friends died (very slowly and unpleasantly) of throat cancer a while ago, it was really beyond horrible. oh, and if you don't like the taste just squeeze some rso onto a rizla and fold it up and bomb it - also, you can carry pre made rizla bombs of rso around with you for later. hope this helps or, if not, you get something good going for you eventually - two years is not much experience, you will get better at finding the right way. cannabis is a complicated drug and is difficult to manage consistently long term, but is actually fairly safe and mostly quite nice while you find the best way for you. don't start smoking if you don't already though, stick to rso/edibles/vapes and you will be healthy.

It has to be the transaction ID (or whatever your wallet calls it that's similar to that) from the transaction that's shown in your wallet, not the order reference. It should work fine on mobile or tablet.

Unfortunately mate getting to grips with it has the potential to save lots of money. You can check the current fee rates on there in real time, for example. If you then send at those rates manually you'll often find your wallet wants to fund it at much higher rates. Saved myself £4ish the other day on 1 transaction just by looking. It took about 3 minutes to confirm even at the much lower rate I set. Took me ages to even vaguely understand it though, and I still know hardly anything really.
Not the address you sent it to dude, paste the transaction ID in. Is it 'transaction hash' on your receipt? Try that. Should show you a graphic of the block it's in. If it's blue, then it's confirmed.
10 confirmations. Well, that's all gone through. Guess it's contacting Transaxe time. They can take a while to respond, hence it being the best strategy to give as much info up front as possible.

I found myself in my last job working solely to smoke which is kinda sad and which probably gave me the courage to quit that job.
When you smoke you're gonna suffer stress, and as a canna user without your fav hobby you're likely to get 'bored' (not a word i'm a fan of as we're here on this earth such a short time).
Users that don't get stressed often cause they always have enough are likely to suffer it in other ways like a vendor always watching their back or biggas with a £200 - £400 weekly habit are likely to feel it in their bank balance.
I'd prefer stress to answer the question tho, and it's not gonna be till this country changes it's views dramatically in regards to canna use that this stress will likely subside.

Don't listen to naysayers. Everyone is different. The benefits of Lion's Mane and niacin stacking with psilocybin is also highly beneficial for brain health. Low and slow, find your level. Research the Paul Stamets stack.

Not a magic bullet but a very helpful tool alongside other things. If you only read one book, make it "Live more, think Less" by a P Callesen and look into Metacognitive Therapy. Such a simple approach with really really high success rates, over 80%. Made total sense where other stuff just seemed overwhelming.

I went through a horrific breakup earlier this year, end of a intense 5 year relationship. After quite a bit of research I grabbed a mushroom bar from here.
First few days I was still smoking heavily and on the back end of stopping SSRIs so I didn't notice much. After a few more days I noticed a visible improvement in my mood, I felt like things didn't phase me and I was able to get on with my day without being too attached to my thoughts. End of the day tended to be a little somber but I quickly realised I should stop smoking weed while the dose was active.
After the first week I increased my dose from 0.2 to 0.4, best decision I have made, I was able to dig into my past/trauma without my emotions overwhelming me. It didn't take away my depression but it gave me the state of mind to work through the reasons while I felt how I did, and make a plan to process them.
I made a list of the big topics I wanted to work through and for each one planned a small trip, with microdosing afterwards to integrate what I had learned and thought about.
I stacked with niacin and lions mane, I was also eating pretty much whole foods vegan and not smoking tobacco which I feel helped me have the full benefits of my doses.
I'm not dosing anymore, I do therapy trips every few weeks when I feel the time is right but microdosing was absolutely the start of my journey of mushrooms to improve my mental health.
I'm now at the point where I don't really feel like my issues affect me and am volunteering in mental health support.
Do you research, listen to your body and mind and don't go in with any expectations other than to take whatever comes in good faith and understand that mushrooms are a small part of the journey to healing.

I’m a bit of a nerd with stuff and have never used drugs other than weed and a few prescription pain killers. As far as I know the majority of the research on improvements shown for people with depression from mushrooms is for full doses, not microdosing. Imperial did a study recently showing that the effects of microdosing were at the same level as a placebo. I would consider investigating tripping safely and starting with a low dose to get familiar with it.
From personal experience I can confirm this from a single 1.6g dose that I took 2 months ago after not doing shrooms for over 20 years. My underlying baseline of being 'a bit sad' was reset to neither feeling sad nor happy. I assume this is how neurotypical people feel in general, but I haven't for decades. All gone and reset in one trip. Your mileage and brain chemistry may vary.
They made a difference to mine and I've had countless dms from people saying their life has changed for the better.

No personal experience but my friend orders his shrooms off here and swears by microdosing. I think the reason for the conflicting accounts is the highly subjective nature of the effect which is probably down to brain chemistry.
He absolutely says it removes his brain fog and allows him to regulate his emotional response to stress.
Mushrooms are very safe and I think there is nothing to lose in trying it.

an actual proper dose of psilocybin can function as a sort of emotional master reset - if you just can't seem to snap out of a depression even though your problems are in the past, it can be highly effective (speaking from my own experience) - if you still have problems in your life, though, it can make them seem much worse and make you much worse at dealing with them.
also, tripping when you are depressed is likely to be a truly fucking awful experience that has you praying for it to end (it will, but not for ages). if you are expecting to have a bad time, you will, anxiety is what causes bad trips.
p.s. you do know that weed and very especially opiates both cause depression, right?
an actual proper dose of psilocybin can function as a sort of emotional master reset - if you just can't seem to snap out of a depression even though your problems are in the past, it can be highly effective (speaking from my own experience) - if you still have problems in your life, though, it can make them seem much worse and make you much worse at dealing with them.
also, tripping when you are depressed is likely to be a truly fucking awful experience that has you praying for it to end (it will, but not for ages). if you are expecting to have a bad time, you will, anxiety is what causes bad trips.
p.s. you do know that weed and very especially opiates both cause depression, right?
Psilocybin is now in stage 3 trials for the treatment of depression as well as many other issues that start in the mind. The proof success is out there in abundance. Also there's a lot more to be learned from a bad trip than another experience I've had. I had 2 bad trips that helped me to address the real cause of problems I'd had for years. To compare microdosing magic mushrooms at a dose that is at a level that a subtle change in perception can be felt isn't the same as adding a drop of an active ingredient to a few litres of water as one would in homoeopathy. That being said the trials for psilocybin have covered microdosing with shaky results so I need to look at what they're considering a microdose. 0.1 grams of a decent strain is enough to improve my mood and actually feel a chemical shift without rendering me useless for the day. Maybe that's more than this studies did.
