The great novelist thought his Man in the High Castle was an actual alternate reality.
It would explain the instantaneous communication between quantum entangled photons. Instead of "spooky action at a distance", the "system" or "field" is simultaneously exciting two parts of its occupied space. The photons do not communicate at all and therefore preserve the physical speed limit of the universe.
Imagine an older first person shooter game. Bullets had no travel time or drop to take into account. The moment the trigger was pulled, the enemy player was instantly hit. But here, the two players aren't communicating information, but the system is taking account of all space at all time and calculating to adjust everything on it's next tick, rendering the enemy player "shot".
The bullet's information never has to travel faster than light in order for its effect to be accounted for by the whole system. Just one tick, or one unit of Planck time, is all that is required for adjustment to be calculated.
A pinch of salt required but interesting thought, I think.

Yes and the best part is the odds. If it's possible to "simulate" a universe like this then it's possible to make a zillion copies. If that's the case think of the odds that we are in a simulated universe versus an "organic" one.

I saw him talking about this on another vid, the Bladerunner universe was the same place i think and there were lots of orientals in the facist USA as the Japanese and Germans shared the spoils after the war with the germans taking the east coast and the japanese the west...who knows? there are loads of weird glitches which 'prove' we are in a sim...YT is full of these theories, and as they all seem to say, the chances of us being in the one original out of thousands of sims is very slim...good link mate.
I just have to say 'Time Out of Joint' is the best scifi novel of all time and also highlights these thoughts perfectly.

For me it has to be some Bruce Banner #3 from 1e hulp in the dam all the way back in 2017. I've never been able to recapture that one. It was a skunky, kind of gassy & fruity type all rolled into one with such a unique flavour profile to finish. The high was second to none. Wiped me right out. Left me looking at the world with my eyes so bulged they were basically closed. They say you'll never recapture that first high, this one took me above and beyond.
For sure! It flew under the radar quite a bit and I think it's unique musk and it's face melting is why.

got an oz like that in the late 90's, had the potent lavender smell and taste. think it was a bit on the indica pheno side. very dark purple and when you snapped the buds in half the core was almost black. amazing bag appeal. really strong and tasty stuff too

I absolutely love blue cheese. So tasty and so strong. I used to get an oz every week off my plug back in the day. Couldn't get enough of it. Got it recently in the dam too at Greenhouse effect. Was just like how I remembered it.
Yeah man, the real blue cheese was so pungant, it don't matter if it was wrapped in 3 layers, you could still smell that shit. it's just not same nowadays! :(

Absolutely loved that strain. I remember queuing for a long time as I was there for the cannabis cup (2006). Grey Area’s queue was ridiculous on a normal day!

There was a grower that was producing the strongest WW ever. It’s the closest weed I’ve had that when smoked could be mistaken for isolator.

buyed some weed in the dam in 2009 ish that made me space out totally, was strongest stone ever. i felt like i was on a different planet. was fun but a bit scary. cant remember the name but was sooooo strong i just walked around in circles for hours

i was going to the dam around that time and also had some of the LA confidential it was crazy strong and very dank tasting. it was one of the best we tried that trip, those grey mist crystals from grey area were something else too!

Grey Area had an incredible cut of some Kuchi OG Kush X OG Cheese about ten years ago that was just incredible, Area 41 Alien Labs another banger not a big lemon fan but a beautiful mix of Citrus and pure gas, of course the early batches of Blue Zushi deserve a mention too.

Northern lights terpenes are locked in my mind from 30 years ago. Bizarre how our minds can recreate that smell.
I'm a big fan of mimosa. First time I had that and sluricane I was quite pleased (they were nice examples). I think my all time favourite may have been a blue cheese amnesia cross, had it around Xmas time like 12 years ago. Point in time/context definitely has huge impact on decision. I once grew some purple punch (outdoor auto flower) only got like a Q of decent bud, after few months curing was lovely, that fact I grew it made it better than it was to me.
Had a strain called Greco once that was the strongest thing I've ever had, not only gave me red eyes but also gave red rings/bags on eyes. My house mates were worried about me hahaha.

I have found that it's more to do with phenotypes and how they are grown. I've sampled different grows of the same strain and found the effects to differ with each one. Some of these grows have been some of the nicest in effects and then others of the same strain completely lack what was so nice about them.
Mine is probably some jungle cake, Mac or boss og, all of them I got from here. Such great strains. Even chemdawg and uk cheese are up there too.

The best strain I've ever smoked was Skywalker OG about 5 years ago. It was my first time smoking a strain I knew the name of and it was every bit as good as I thought it would be. I wish I could go back and get Zs off them
It's a toss up between bubba kush and amnesia haze for me. Had some bubba for the first time a few months back and it was a gorgeous body high. Delicious body rushes from it. Bought some again recently but doesn't have the same quality of effects unfortunately. Maybe because of different phenotypes 🤷🏻♂️.
Amnesia haze almost always gets me to a place of euphoria that's unmatched by other strains. Would love to find a strain that's more euphoric but out of the roughly 20 strains I've tried so far nothing has been more uplifting than ami.

As far as dominant sativa’s goes,I’ve always had a smile when bopping home with a bit of Amnesia in my sky.
I'd go with either MAC by citizen stash or wedding crasher by BLKMRT both outstanding. I also had a bit of alien sin mint cookies by BLKT, I kid you not the bud was bluish instead of purple, all these strains were from a couple years ago when I was living in Canada.

Wu Tang Clan - Enter the Wu Tang (managed to see them in NYC for Rock The Bells 2010 performing the whole album was a dream comes true) and the second best album for me would be Gang Starr - Moment of Truth
finally someone said Blue Lines. It's odd because in a lot of ways musically I don't rate it highly, it's kind of clumsy in parts, some of the ideas are underdeveloped, some of it almost makes me cringe. But there was just something so special about that time and the sound felt so new and yet familiar. Even though their later stuff is "better" Blue Lines has such a permananet special place in my heart.

utterly brilliant albumn Dubside, saw them do the 10th aniversary tour playing the whole albumn live its was epic.
I can safely say that Appetite for Destruction is the album I've listened to the most. Carousel by Subcircus has had well over 20 years love from me as well

Never heard of either band before this shout. I listened to Epic Garden Music this morning on a hike and it's fantastic love the use of the keyboard and you can really hear early elements of shoegaze taking shape on tracks like "Lope" and "ART".. This is a very good band crisp.. Try listening to Soul Mining and Dusk by The The and tell me what you think. Anyway stay cool compadre.

Dre's 2001 deffo top 10 for me. Its tough a one, but Hybrid Theory and Slim Shady LP are what I settled on after starring at my PC screen for 20 mins internally debating the question lol The first Buffy soundtrack sat on repeat for about 3 years in my teens too haha

Have anyone else had issues transferring btc from their revolut acc to there btc wallet?
I've just tried to send btc and its telling me that the address is disabled.
I've messaged revolut and great help they are 🤣🤣

I send GBP from Revolut to coinbase rather than the BTC.
Given the exchange fees are cheaper on coinbase (they are sky high on Revolut btw) this method makes more sense, and Revolut do not scrutinise the transfer of fiat like they do crypto.
Made this mistake first time and had questions about transaxe wallet.
When I got it back, I did as above and have made probably 10 transactions this way with zero issues.
Recommend.

I had the same thing. I simply responded that I had sent the coins to escrow for exchange which was not a lie.
I figured I could not deal with a 10 day account restriction every time whilst revolut questioned who I was sending to.
If you look on your coinbase app you will actually find that your account has a sort code and account number that you can deposit fiat currency into. You can do this as normal on your banking app as though you were paying a bill. You need your unique payment reference number as well which starts with CB.
This way you get better fees and do not get anybody asking questions when you move your crypto.
If you buy usdc on coinbase it is free too and you get free trades which you can use to convert to btc to save you the cb crypto purchase fee.

Thank you for this information and advice. Can you use coinbase in the UK? As downloaded the app and completing the set up. Asks for country of residence and I'm choosing UK but it won't let me continue with the set up. Any ideas why ?

Yeah same here and now that wallets blocked. They closed my account for 3-4 days and was very unhelpful in getting it fixed
Update..... they've unrestricted my acc but my 2 crypto wallets are still blocked. Exodus wallet is now being used.... 3rd time lucky 🤞

revolut temporarily block my account every time but usually only for about an hour. then I can do the withdrawal. you should delete the disabled addresses from your account and use a new wallet address for withdrawing to (generate a new one from the official bitcoin wallet app) also though it costs more by withdrawing to your own wallet first, it's harder and less likely to be scrutinised than sending directly to a transaxe provided address.

just brace for the temporary block and you'll be fine. sending to your own btc wallet first will reduce scrutiny
since I switched to bit panda everything is smooth... used wirex and cypto app but bit panda really easy and low fees

Sheesh was going to use Revolut if cb kept asking questions. Right now cb to own exodus is working for me.
This has just happened to me as well when trying to send to Exodus despite working fine previously. Can anyone confirm if this happens every time you try and send to an external wallet or is it just certain ones?

I find with Firefox on Android I can get your page to load in about 30-40 seconds, which is still a pain but not too bad.
On Opera and Brave browsers I just gave up in the end. 😞

that's the thing, science often changes its mind once it considers more parameters and cannabis understanding is still in diapers.
This was actually really interesting. My partner and I have ‘debated’ lol at length the indica v sativa thing and whether there’s a difference, in the end all I could/can say is a good quality indica to me at least feels like I have a force almost pushing me deeper into the sofa where as a good sativa always brings me up, both mentally and gets me laughing and indeed wanting a good time! Seems according to this, that science says it’s in my head!!

Very well put indeed, not just set and setting either, overall headspace and mood, and probably one of the most undervalued metrics in this whole topic is diet + exercise, every single one of these factors will dictate how you're going to be affected by the consumption of THC
and of course let's not forget the grow, grower, what it was grown in, time of harvest during flower and what stage the trichomes were at in their development are all things that will have a huge impact on how that particular batch of that particular grow will effect you! the people who are searching for a particular strain for it's supposed effects are wasting their time and money, the strains name does not dictate it's effects or how much of a indica / sativa hybrid it is, all a strain name will tell you is where the genetics are from and roughly what terpenes you should be expecting, that is all

Why that order? It's 50/50 so why not: "will send you immediately into a creative sleep where you will raid the fridge by sleepwalking. Careful though you will suddenly have a burst of energy and wake up doing pushups."
Or, to make further mockery: "careful this 80/20 sativa will glue you to the sofa if you smoke the last 20% of the joint"

Well a hybrid is a hybrid. If my dad is aborigine and my mum is a Klingon then I’m 50:50 and the world is my lobster right? So cross a sativa haze with a Hindu Kush and it will be a 50:50 hybrid of the two, it’s just what difference that makes in the effects and whether those effects are attributable to the plant type rather than other elements. I guess we are now siding with “other elements “, which is fine.
But this is evidence based on blind tests where the reported effects didn’t correlate to the strains. In my own lab I have 42 numbered jars- I can only know what strain they are by referring to my trusty spreadsheet 🤓. When I try them at random and try to guess from the effects whether they are indica or sativa I always get it right. 100%. Not even slightly difficult.
But then I have 30 different tequilas and I am pretty good at blind testing those too 🤠…..

Interesting ‘cos it’s exactly the same argument- genetics vs effects yeah? We think that a plants genetics give us particular effects but the (scant) evidence suggests otherwise. Kids personality traits don’t mirror their genetics but their DNA doesn’t lie.

But the main reason I want to do this is, to have a party that changes the rules
No more first past the post, proportional representation elections instead
Once changing these the government would immediately have a general election to allow the changes to be made
Now there's the small matter of the house of lords
Now we know blowing it up didn't work previously...
So am open to suggestions 🤔

My thought process is that sativa and indica are individual species of the cannabis plant which would itself suggest some biological variations between the two, so I still think there's maybe something missing from the 'no difference between them' position.
I get that selective breeding over the years has blurred that line somewhat but going back far enough, pure indica plants were very different from sativa variants in terms of appearance and growth behaviour, so logic would dictate other biological differences too.
The reason we started cross-breeding them to create hybrids in the first place was to combine the different characteristics of each species, so why did we do that if they're all the same?
If we're being truly scientific then we have to recognise that just because we haven't yet identified those differences, or what they mean for us, that doesn't necessarily mean they don't exist.

There not saying there isn't a difference more that there isn't a couchlock indica cannabinoid and a hyper sativa cannaboid and that's it's the different ratios of terps/noids etc etc but there isn't a thing that either sativa or indicas have that other doesn't

Personally, I do not think we are in one. We think, feel, act based off our own choices - Decartes said it best: "I think, therefore I am".
Our universe - regardless if possibly only one amongst an incalculable sum in the omniverse - is complex, to say the least. There are rules and foundations so intricate which seemingly have no boundaries. Our universe expands at such a rate, that to keep such a simulation running would require far more energy than it gives back... Energy is not infinite, keep that in mind.
A civilisation capable of such a simulation would be nigh-omnipotent, capable of creating their own universes and would literally be revered as 'Godly'.
Even then, living in such a 'simulation' is no longer just living as slaves to your nigh-omnipotent architects; we have free will of thought and action, and therefore what may seem a simulation is actually our reality - we have no 'life' outside this one, if we are in a simulation.
It is far better to accept this as your reality, not through comfort nor apathy, than to spend whatever intellectual capacity one may have on breaking impossible-to-reach barriers.
Even knowing that you are in one, should that be the case, will not enlighten your life any further; if anything, it may motivate you to end your 'life' if for no reason but to 'escape' such a slavery.

It is common sense really. By law of averages, if we look within the development of gaming graphics we see whole intricacies and worlds created in the space of a few years. If we multiply these advances infinitely then surely it would be possible to create worlds on much larger scale. We are already seeing it with Ai and its ability to create accurate “reality” such as images and voices etc.

So as the world moves on to the latest set of consoles I'm wondering what the biggas think where the best games of the last gen? what are your must plays? did you find any hidden gems? found a good game to play with a spliff in hand? :P
There'll probably be some decent bargains on the way for those games you haven't got round to yet. I'm by no means a hardcore gamer but look forward to taking some recommendations! :)

GTA has to be one of the best games to play when your smashed without a doubt, I could just drive my car round for days when I'm stoned haha
I have an aversion to "wild west" themes but I bet I'd love this as a game if I could get past it. Might give it a try if it comes up extra cheap and see if I can bare the cowboyary lol
These sorts of big single player games have been getting a lot more popular this gen, I hope the trend continues. Ghost of tsushima looks good, obvs Witcher3 for me but Horizon Zero Dawn is another that's just so, so impressive although I couldn't get into it at first.

It was an amazing game to be fair, great story playthough as well switching between the 3. Mad to think it came on the previous gen, it must be almost 10years old now? I wonder if we'll ever get a new one though?
I love racing games so at moment I'm playing Forza Horizon 5 a lot, Red Dead Redemption 2 is worth a look and you'd have to have a heart of stone not to cry playing it.

Smash bros, Mario kart and zelda breath of the wild on the switch. Recently finished god of war and enjoyed that, the first spiderman was good but found the miles morales to be rushed and a glorified dlc.

I recently re discovered the world of Sony PlayStation having been xboxing for years. Got a PS4 on the cheap about 8 months before ps5 came out. Playing their exclusives I have to say some of them are the best, in my opinion of last gen. So my list starts with last of us, last of us 2,any Nathan drake game, horizon dawn. Then you got to have GTA5 and RdDR2. Gems for me are things like little nightmares, hotline Miami 1 & 2. The Res Evil 2 remake was awesome. And my fav game of recent times that has matured like a fine wine, is Days Gone. In case you wondered, I love a zombie apocalypse game….goes well with a spliff or 2. You can get most of these games on the cheap now. A mention for ghost of tshumia , got a ps5 update as well, so if you got a ps5 you can play the last great PS4 exclusive in shiny ps5 mode….
Uncharted, Horizon Zero Dawn, RDR2, GTA are all bangers. See I've gone the other way years been a sony fan boy then tempted by gamepass & jumped to the darkside. Can't go wrong either way

Last of us 2 such a great game, only hated by people who couldn’t get their heads around a more interesting take on seeing different sides of the coin….I won’t say more than that in case of spoiler….

Showing my age now perhaps but I burnt out on 1st person shooters a long time ago. I remember playing half life, unreal tournament and the like, playing the first few CODS and Medal of Honours. These games really haven’t changed that much over the years except with better graphics etc, but maybe that can be said of most genres. At one point first person shooters would be all I played so maybe that is why I rarely play them these daysrecent first person shooter games I enjoyed though are alien isolation and Wolfenstein for a quick blast of ultra violence
Medal of Honour allied assault brill game just about everyone on the server had glowskins cheat on . Now elite dangerous & cod / wreckfest
Got cyberpunk on the cheap, flawed game for sure, not as amazing as expected. Reading that it runs best on Xbox series s, not the x, wtf….
Playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla atm, not far from the best in the franchise, and you do need to be a hardcore gamer to have fun.
Minecraft... After this I started feeling beta and watched Mike Tyson videos to restore the balance. Great on last and next gen. Incredibly relaxing.
I'm 46 now and didn't play games much when I was younger but we all used to play Mario Kart on the cartridge console in all sorts of twisted states and used to have a total blast. Recently discovered PUBG on the IPad and am kind of hooked. It's so much fun and you end up doing stupid dances and stuff yet highly skillful also. Skydive in with your mates and let the mayhem commence.
Some of those old school games were the best for playing with a bunch of mates, some other good examples outside of mario kart. How about micro machines, does anyone remember speed ball…..back in the day the original tekken on PS got played a lot in my group, any of the old worms games, v good for taking turns, passing the blunt….
Those kart games are so much fun when stoned with mates, Crash Team Racer was our favourite back in the day good times haha :)
Loved C&C red alert back in the day then halo wars because you could literally set up base start building your army and kick back with a phat joint before going to war😂 sometimes me and a friend would play against each other online and literally wait till everything was maxed out took like 3-4 hours😂and meet in the middle of the map for an epic battle 👌😮💨
Just finished the Mass Effect legendary edition I'm going to put that out there as the best trilogy, first time I've played all 3 properly and on one save - I played it pretty much every day for the past 3 months lol at this point I am Shepard, my best friends are a Quarian named Tali and a Turian named Garrus and I AM commander of the Normandy! :P

I fully understand the aversion to a "cowboy game" and I know millions of people have already lauded rdr2 but.... it is an amazing piece of art. I'm playing it on an original xbox one with a non HD TV and it still looks amazing. The set up where I play it is in a garden shed - I've come back to it tonight for the first time in 2 months (warmer at night now) and it blows cyberpunk 2077 out

If your looking for a multiplayer FPS i highly recommend r6. I play on PC but has alot of console players aswell only game which gets the adrenaline proper pumping for me. High skill gap alot to learn generally fun solo even better with a coordinated stack of friends. edit: Might not be the best game when stoned but it is for me i know a few of my mates who cant play it to well stoned but for me it locks me in even more

Some questions for an order with issues

Some questions for an order with issues
Hey! I have recently made a purchase from a seller and went through the ordering process as normal, address/payment etc. The order was then shipped out. After two days (today) I decided to ask for a tracking number and the seller promptly provided!
Upon receiving this tracking number I was surprised to see it was down as delivered. Checked my door, nothing. I then looked back on the tracking (that the seller provided me) and upon pressing 'map of delivery' I could tell immediately the package was sent to the wrong address.
Royal Mail provide GPS coordinates from where the package was scanned, and upon checking where it led on Gmaps I found that it has been sent to a house on a road with the same name as mine, however a different postcode. I know that I didn't make this mistake upon ordering as I made other orders at the same time and they all arrived.
I then messaged the seller and was (expectedly) hit with a reply calling me a scammer and due to my account age. I've been a longtime lurker and only just started ordering recently and I can see where the seller is coming from, it doesn't look great on my end.
I have tried to explain that the tracking number that the seller gave me is essentially proof that it didn't arrive at my address. They said they keep a log of postcodes and orders for this kinda thing and I asked to see which postcode they had down to me but have been met with profanity and now silence.
Realistically I know I will most likely have to dispute this, I'm just wondering how I should approach this? Is there any recommended way to go forward (once I can dispute)? And has anyone had a similar situation at all?

So if I understand this- the suggestion is that the vendor put the wrong postcode by mistake yeah?…but what are the odds that a randomly wrong postcode would have the same road name as yours?🤯
That sounds more like an RM error to me. The vendor should hold off on the accusations and confirm the postcode they sent it to. But they may not have done anything wrong…

Yes! It seems to of simply been posted to a different address (with the same street name) that's like 15+ miles from my actual address. Same city different borough. I didn't actually know that this existed myself until today.
But I totally agree here.. I can't blame anyone specifically, so I didn't really approach the situation with any confrontation towards the seller and was polite as. But I was immediately assumed to be malicious? I was also completely blindsided. I was pretty caught off guard with the response I got to be honest - getting swore at, called a scammer and then ignored - All because I recently made an account? I was more or less aiming to figure it out without going down the dispute path.

I didn't mention but I agree it could be a royal mail issue completely - The lack of help and immediate conclusion of me being a scammer from a big seller though... Not nice to see and without having being given any more information from the seller (which they told me they have) I can only make assumptions with what I have.
This happens alot. Grab the postie by the scruff of the neck and get him to lift ur parcel or man up and go and collect it. Something tells me that the house holder will notice it’s not for them and won’t open it & probably waiting for you anyway!!
Not a bad idea to be honest.. only given the contents I don't really wanna go to the address and risk them having potentially opened it - I'll comm with RM more tomorrow during working hours (also the house is like a good 30+ mins away other side of the city)

To be honest, it is in sellers best interests to work with customers on stuff like this. Both for good PRs sake, and it being simply good business sense to work these problems out so they don't affect future customers.

I think it's possible the first line of my address was copy pasted (the number and street) and then maybe the seller hit enter on the royal mail website to buy online postage? But to be honest I don't know for sure. It's all speculation.

I do have proof of my actual address (other stuff that's arrived) and proof that the tracking number provided didn't arrive to this address so that should be sufficient with the lack of comms.. Sucks to be called a liar though to be honest
Auto Settlement Borg doesn’t collate evidence. It’s an Algo that pays % refund based on ‘reputation’….
You are certainly unlucky…those sort of RM fuck ups with tracked mail must be rare.
When you open the dispute it creates a 16 day window for you to try and resolve it with the vendor. After that the Algo settles it. Who is at fault here?…in some ways we have to share the risk of post?…the Algo will give you a % pay out. No way of knowing what % in advance…

I do really feel like I won the unlucky lottery... and that's true - I can determine where it went wrong with RM as their CS is pretty good but in terms of anything that would be usable in a dispute I am unsure.

Hey guys hope you’re all having a cool weekend. Just wondering are there Any metalheads on LB? I love most metal but my fave genres are probably blackgaze and post black metal. I really like Alcest and Panopticon I’d say they’re the bands I’m listening to the most right now. I remember people telling me when I was a teenager I’d grow out of metal,well I’m in my 40s now and still listening just as much if not more. It really is a way of life. Love and peace.
The 90s had such amazing metal bands. So many genres were exploding and were so exciting. Wasn’t so keen on that rap metal mind. I loved RATM but the ones that followed like Limp Bizkit were pretty dumb.

Oh sorry man I thought you meant I was preaching to you. Yeah I loved the first Korn album hated the 2nd but loved the 3rd album. Stopped following them after that but still like the odd track after the 3rd album. Alone I break is an awesome track.
I remember seeing Pantera at the Ozzfest back in 98. Amazing set and a wild pit not as crazy as the Soulfly pit a set later that was insane. Love early Deftones up to the White Pony album.

Celtic Frost are probably my fave out of the 1st wave black metal bands. Did you not get on with the 2nd wave of black metal? There are some great bands.
No I do just lower down on my list. Celtic frost absolutely genius band although there was a time they were called death metal
Early Dimmu Borgir for me mate. First 2 albums are great(even the ripped off track on the 2nd album) went off them when they expanded their sound.
sorgens is one of my fave tracks pity m8 i love most of their stuff although my fave albums are Puritanical and In sorte. stormblast will always hold a special place in my heart..
Of course Screamo counts man! Love myself a bit of Mice&Men and Bring Me The Horizon. Not sure if they’re Screamo bands?
I'm mid-forties now and grew up on bands like Metallica, Pantera, Machine Head and NIN. I've always been into other stuff as well but it's what I mostly listened to during my teens and twenties.
I don't listen to metal as much as I used to however I've found the old adage that your tastes mellow with age to be untrue in my case. I listen to some much heavier, more extreme bands than I used to and I'm much more open to sub genres I wouldn't have considered before.
My current favourite heavy listen is Lullabies for Eternal Sleep by Apes. Hadn't heard of them until I read a brief review that described that EP as being sort of like post-metal if all the quiet bits were replaced with nasty grindcore. One listen and I'd bought the tracks off Bandcamp. The first track, Cornwall, is savage but has such an amazing groove too.
If you like blackened stuff then check out Apes' earlier album, Lightless. Different to the latest material but still bloody good.

I go a lot of gigs and download/bloodstock festival. Some of the best music to have a smoke to.
Yeah probably the most community, friendly festival I’ve been to. Really chilled and there’s not too many people like major festivals.

Tonight I've been listening to Cult of Luna and Boris. Last night it was Lamp of Murmuur and Fluisteraars. I'm in my 50s. Metal seems to make more sense the older I get but then the type of metal I listen to now is different from the metal I listened to at 16. Except for Sabbath. Always Sabbath 🤘Music just keeps on getting better.
Absolutely love Cult Of Luna their Salvation album was incredible! Can’t remember if it was their debut? Give Panoption a listen man especially there again into the light album it is pure genius. Austin Lunn plays over a dozen instruments on the album. Can’t wait to see them next month on their first ever UK tour. Always Iron Maiden for me mate though I do obviously love Sabbath.
Oh yeah I love Panopticon too. I was listening to And Again... last night. Also Botanist and Wolves In The Throne Room, sheer sheets of metallic sound, hypnotic riffs it's damn psychedelic as a genre in many ways. Also into stuff like Thou and Primitive Man, I was listening to the last Wormrot album the other day. There's just so much good stuff and such massive variety that it's impossible to not like something that's "metal" if you're into music. If anyone avoids metal they should take a deep dive into all the sub genres cos they'd be surprised at how much they would probably love. From Sunn O))) to Full of Hell and all the stops in between.
They’re ..again into the light album is so good. I found it very accessible compared to their earlier stuff. Still really enjoy their early folk metal inspired stuff. Kentucky is fantastic. I was lucky enough to see Wolves In The Throne Room a few years back. Beautiful gig. It was bombastic and majestic all at once. 🤘
I saw Panopticon a few years back over in Dutchie land, enjoyed them but haven't paid much attention to them since.Do you like Wayfarer? They do a similar type of thing kinda country tinged BM.
Really like Wayfarer too and a Scottish band called Saor. They play a similar style to Panopticon. Can’t wait to see them live,I’ve waited years for them to visit the UK. Gotta travel a few hundred miles but it will deffo be worth it. Much love.

Dad got me into metal with sabbath i have to agree nearly 40 now .... So many metal genres would not exist without them ..
Yeah Sabbath are definitely the godfathers of metal. Without them half the genres today wouldn’t exist.
and if you into black metal check out Blackbraid they just relesed their second album its Native american black metal if you like melodic stuff check em out i feel they are only going to get better...

Usually I would go to more upmarket vendors but I can't really justify doing that when I don't know when I'll be paid next and I haven't had much experience with the budget options on here.

A lot of Biggas rave about the quality of the shake on here as the best value option. I’ve heard great things about the ones from Green Cat and RealD but I haven’t tried them myself so can’t say anymore.

Real D skittles, 55ish quid with my fees for 7g of really tasty indica leaning relaxation.
As Polly said - green cats sweet tooth amnesia and cheese are both good offerings and tast well.
For me the real d edges it, as I think a few quid cheaper as green cat is +6$ delivery
Smalls from Riley was a good bargain too.
To help budget my top picks are:

When I need an ounce of solid budget smoke in a rush I usually hit Pistash with that being said I've found a few other great vendors while trying out LB;
Justweed have some great shake/small nugs with free NDD - hard to go wrong.
Pontiffofpiff usually have some phenomenal budget smoke in rotation - waiting for some fruit juice myself

We have all been there at some point. At the moment if you message British bulldog. He has a shit load of trim that he would do a custom on. This trim is far better than most shake that I have had from LB that I’ve tried with a few exceptions but this is not trying to anything it’s not. It’s fucking dam good trim. Clean and fresh. Actually smells like a bag of buds and when in the grinder then vape it’s smokes well. The best part is the price. Outstanding value for money.

Canadian imports also quite often have some very good cheaper options $35-40 a Henry including ND.
These are all great options if your on a budget my friend.

One of the main banks I use to get my crypto has been Santader, just convenient for me. Tried to make a payment to Binance today after Coinbase closed my account without giving me a chance to ask or dispute why (Turns out I was buying drugs online what am I like ay?).
Literally spent all weekend with you cats getting a feel for what I should get, had 12 things in the cart got down to 10 went to buy some BTC, text from Santander "We don't allow this anymore".
So i've been having a dig at what's actually allowed, and Etoro are because they're allegedly regulated by the FDA, except when you're signing up they ask for every single detail about your life and i'm really not comfortable with some of the info they wanted.
Any advice on a straightforward alternative? I don't mind using Etoro if I have to but now i've got to wait up to 3 days before I can even put an order in, my wifes away for the night Wednesday and I had every intention of going scorched earth i'm so disappointed.

Definitely possible, it was actually from Coinbases side it was closed I googled it and it's happened to thousands of people, turns out they owe you no explanation and that's that so when I go to log on it says "In the middle of account closure" and only lets me transfer out my current balance.
Shame really, coinbase was straightforward enough but I can't get a second account on there since it's all ID, I have no problem using an alternative, I do have a problem with there being a 3 day hurdle every time I open my eyes.

When you find a place to buy btc, sent the funds firstly to your own wallet, then from your own personal wallet you can buy as many drugs as you wish.
Best not buying drugs through a legit companies website /wallet.

same thing happened with me with Santander, then tried a couple of days later and all ok. No problems since. Halifax also allow me to buy bitcoin at coinbase.
Coinbase and binance are blacklisted and banks are cracking down on crypto, like Sam said monzo is a good option it takes half an hour to set up and they welcome crypto buys and you can link it to your main bank account to transfer funds across.
try Revolut. You can use it to buy on coinbase or Binance as far as I am aware. But you can also buy various crypto direct through the app. Useful for day to day purchases also. You will need your own wallet to send your coins to (and then use them as you want). Doubt it will help you out for Wednesday though unfortunately

There's a few topics on here about buying btc without any id, you could try see if there's anything suggested that would be of use.

I have a problem with the whole ID thing, especially using btc since it's only pseudo anonymous. I had been looking to make my first buy and was going to use changelly, apparently you can buy under $150 without ID verification, anyone used them? what's your opinion?
As long as you have a personal wallet and don't sent to LB directly from where you're buying you're fine.
I buy from CB and always send to the same wallet address, as far as they know i'm a btc investor and nothing else.
Banks could care less about crypto purchases, least those that allow it, as the uk gov has zero issues with crypto.

i second this i use coinbase, santander and exodus wallet and bought bitcoin 4 days ago (although my transaction to LB still hasnt gone through and transaxe hasnt replied to me lol)

This is interesting. Some smokers I know swear there is no difference in the effects between indica and sativa. I always put it down to how difficult it is to source a 'pure' indica or sativa strain as most strains seem to be hybrids.
I've smoked a couple of strains that claimed to be 100% sativa in Amsterdam - Quasar Haze from Bluebird and Equatorial Sativa from Grey Area and they both gave me more of a high than a stone. Hadn't considered this could be down to the THC/CBD balance, but it definitely makes sense.

Don't forget terps modify the effects of cannabinoids, so the discernable difference in terps between indica and sativa may also play a role.
I find sativa makes my inner monologue loud and frantic.
At baseline mood I like that. I prefer it for creativity, focus, eating or whatever I am doing generally.
If, for some reason I am feeling off - be it tired, hungry, stressed, sad, worried I much prefer indica. And generally stick to hash if anything at all (due to the more uplifting feeling).

I like both, but if I had to choose it would be indica. Ideally I always have a sativa and indica in rotation.
Indica. One because it helps my MS suffering wife but also because it helps knock me out after a nightshift.

Most Reliable Shipper on LB?
I'm sick of paying extra for "next day delivery" and not having it arrive anywhere close to next day. Are there any vendors on here you can actually trust to provide NDD when you give them plenty of warning?
There are many, but you have to be realistic with cut off times and occasionally lenient with the pressure on vendors. The ‘need for speed’ causes more disputes on here than virtually any other issue.
The cardinal sin is when you pay for NDD etc and it doesn’t get sent that way. But most vendor’s seriously try to get that order out in line with their service promise.
Great NDD providers in my experience include The Gentleman Dealers, Dr Greenthumb, Dr Terpy and Canadian Imports (but check latest posting days)..

There is no way a seller can guarantee 100% once the parcel is in the system, many things can happen which are outside of the seller's control.
I see SD more as a way for the seller to see what happened with a parcel if it goes missing. Easier to agree on a refund if the seller can see you didn't get it (so a must for big orders).
As it stands I just received an order today which I ordered SD on Wed last week - posted on Thu according to seller.
I assumed that the Coronation had been wreaking havoc with RM services but looking at the enveloppes they used 1st class not SD.
I've just dropped them a message according to the LB etiquette. Probably an oversight on their behalf.
I remember all too well how I used to get my wares - and what I used to go through - before discovering LB.
As long as it arrives - and the quality and quantity match the order - I'm not fussed.

This exactly. If I paid for a NDD service and did not receive it, I would send a note to the vendor and see if they could make it right somehow, if it was that serious to get NDD.
But I also remember back some time ago (lol), when I had to go to the gas station pay phone, page my dude, hope that he calls back quickly, and then wait. Sometimes he’d come in 20 min, sometimes 3-4 hours. And even as of present day, prior to LB, dealing with bs about meeting here or there or where or when… So I have a fairly high pain tolerance for waiting, especially given how incredible it is that finally a place like this exists. But to give the op his due, I would have something to say to the vendor if I paid for something and didn’t get it. But let them make it right for you.

I totally agree. Some Biggas would react less angrily if they got a dog turd in their package than they do to NDD not arriving NDD! 😂

In fact I was not upset about the SD not being SD but one of the order items was missing which was my main reason for messaging them.
They resent it with SD and added some freebie edibles :-)
Big massive hats off to DIUK for sorting it out with class, talk about customer service.
Goes a long way to prove that comms is what you need when things don't go as planned. That and sticking to top vendors.

Tracking helps us all. I don’t need the numbers I just need the seller to check it when it’s late.
But you need to get what you pay for and where sellers offer premium postage that’s what you should get…👍👍

Well, dr green thumb couldn't manage it either and the tracking # they provided doesn't work. Gonna hold off judgement til I know more but I guess the search continues!
Been here since Jan. 25 or so orders in and I've not had a single fail to land. The longest wait I had was 4 days which was the only first class item of the lot. The rest were NDD/T24 and took no more than two days. Of the top off my head (and I sincerely apologise to any vendor I miss off) these ones I have ordered more than once from and they've arrived as advertised:

Pistach has been utterly terrible for me. Said they'd send NDD, and didn't even send it til i got in touch with them to ask for tracking because it hadn't arrived. Now being super unresponsive so i don't even know when to expect it.
That's a shame. I've had three orders all drop next day recently. Hope you get sorted anyway.
ULC have always been top drawer for NDD in my experience. Even ordering at 11am delivered next day.
Pistach has been releasing some really good flower at knock out prices lately, they're probably getting overwhelmed with orders. I believe they're also on TG, so busy vendor. Honestly, their stuff is amazing, but sometimes pay a little extra with a vendor you've used before. Have to say though, I've ordered from Pistach and never had an issue, think you're just in the 1% bud :(
I wouldn't mind if they didn't give me an attitude about their mistake and then go no-contact so i have no clue even if my order has been correctly shipped yet.

I always order NDD with plenty of time to spare for this reason, usually before midnight the night before.
Never had a problem with this personally. Like others have said think that there is no guarantee a seller can give as it it down to the delivery service. For reliability I can vouch for Riley packs , pontiff, pistach and big shout to RealD every order of the shake with free shipping has landed ndd

Our packs are shipped as per our manifesto. If you order NDD before cut off time it will be shipped accordingly.

I send everything 1st Class for free, which usually takes a couple of days. Buyers can opt for Special Signed Delivery, but will have to pay for it. That said, I just recommend free 1st Class.
Honestly, never had an issue with any vendors here. However, special mention has to go to Dr Terpy, without fail, their Free 1st Class RM always arrived next day, and the quality has always been out of this world.
I have placed around 8 orders from different vendors over 4/5 months. My favourite is ULC as all orders from them have arrived the next day and they provide RM 1st postage for free. Top top vendor with super nice bud.

I’ve sent special deliveries that have taken 4/5 days, other times I’ve sent first class signed for and it gets there in a day. From someone who been dealing with these thieving slow fuckers is it’s not the vendors fault if parcel goes missing or is delayed.

The thing IS..I don't like strong tastes. There has been many weed strains I don't smoke because the taste and smell is actually stronger than the effects, which is a bit backwards imo.
Consequently all the vape pens I have tried just taste TOO strong.

Not a problem but if that is your bag then Keep it green has a mix one use vape pen that has been getting some great reviews. I think he is on a break just now. Unfortunately! Dr Extracts 50:50 mix but I'm not sure what he has in stock.

I have a variety of vape carts and E-liquid on offer, I mention the E-Liquid as there is little to no 'weed' taste, jut the flavour concentrate.
I have a Golden Lemons cart, which is a sativa strain and its straight D9 distillate and terps. In my opinion, this has no weed taste and is reminiscent of the old, yellow refreshers chews. These carts start at $25 a go, for 0.5ml.

I think it’s fascinating that in 2021 Canada destroyed 468 million tons of cannabis products (and over a billion since legalisation). Only 10% of that was due to failing regulatory requirements, the rest was over production, so some serious commercial production methods are in use! It’s estimated that 70% of users are now back on the street quoting price as one reason but quality as the main one. Craft volume growers have never done better business.
The same market pressures apply to Cali as well.
So what do we get sent to us in the UK?….over production otherwise doomed for destruction or finest small volume grows? And as beggars rather than choosers can we tell the difference?
Like others here say, there is good weed and bad weed regardless of where it originates. I’ve had some truly fabulous imports. I guess we have to trust our best vendors to source quality products and then review them as honestly we can.
For me the biggest issue with imports vs home grown is freshness. I do wonder how old some imports are by the time they get to me. When I compare them to some sparkly sticky stinky fresh home grown then can look a little sad and dry and the lights have gone out….(but they still do the job!😶🌫️😜)

I lived in Canada for 4 years during the time when all the weed shops started to become legal. I was smoking a few strains from a few shops and finally settled on a cartel weed called....the black. All ok weed just not as good as e.u but once the shops became legall I couldn't get stoned anymore off the smoke from any shop. People said it was because of the irradiation so I bought some smoke of the street and surprisingly got stoned. Would love to hear other People's opinions on the irradiation. Just to be clear I think canadian weed Is terrible.

I’ve not found that on all the strains that I have had. Yea I’ve had some that has been not as good as others but honestly don’t let that put you off. As I have had some excellent Canadian.

Jungle Cake because it is very strong and doesn't matter what I am doing the stone fits. If i want to do some active i'll be high as heaven but still able to do it. If I want to sleep then I'll pass right out after a joint.
Cannatonic, first successful high CBD strain100% bred for medicinal, post legalization. cool project strain and a nice one to use.

I used to get a strain called SoGouda from Soma (I think) in Amsterdam, must be over 10 years since I've seen it on any menus there. If I remember correctly it was BlueberryXCheeseXG13. Wasn't the strongest hitting, but perhaps the nicest tasting weed I have smoked. I'm also a big Sour Diesel fan for similar reasons.

Sundae Driver for me, one of the first foreign buds that I could really smell, see, feel and taste the quality difference. I used to do ratings on strains I’d had to see what I’d get next time but so often the quality of one is completely different so there’s no consistency.
As soon as I had that Sundae Driver I thought “This is my favourite weed good lord” must have had half a zip about 4 years ago and every time I smoked it it was consistent and amazing.

The ‘melts’ and sguidgy blacks work easy, harder hashes need to be teased with a lighter before building the sandwich, but yep hash works great when you crank up the temp👍

Oh the dyna is top of the pops for hash in the bubbler but hash wise I’m now switching between the dyna & glass and Camouflet which for hash is excellent. Just can’t do a bud hash sandwich is the two.
Shatter works really well, I hold it between my thumb and finger until it’s really thin and about the same circumference as a Mighty dosing capsule and it vapes for ages with decent clouds too ✌🏻 Think I’ll try some hash though, used to love it back in my younger years! Fluffy Lebanese and Squidgy black.

I’ve never left a review but felt the need to with this strain.
I’ll start off by saying if you’re looking to stop putting tabacco in your spliffs but the coughing puts you off, then get this strain, it’s mild on the lungs but gassy as you like.
So the high hits you in the head to begin with, and it’s so giggly. We started having deep but hilarious conversations about the soul, consciousness, aliens…even both tripped off over energy while watching the fire. Seen that fire generates heat by burning the energy of the wood and that the wood has stored the energy of the sun so really…the heat from a fire is the heat of the sun, kinda shit you know.
Then the body high kicks in. It’s a kind of relaxing, tingly sensation. We went to bed and had the most spiritually satisfying sex I’ve ever had in my life. It lasted hours but was interceded by a lot of cuddling, stroking, chatting shit and smoking more Grease Monkey.
My SO is just getting used to smoking straight spliffs so will occasionally whitey. There’s no limit with this strain. There’s zero paranoia, you’re super relaxed but you can still do daily things (we took the dog for a long walk after a wake and bake) but I wouldn’t recommend as a day time strain if your tolerance isn’t up to it.
I use weed to treat C-PTSD, I’ve woke up every day with fear since i lived in Düsseldorf which was in 1987, it’s been a daily thing all my life…now, it must be the 50% indica because yesterday morning and this morning I woke up calm and relaxed…I could get used to this strain. Will definitely be ordering more and will be trying the other strains.
There was a slight complication in sending the parcel out but GH is really approachable and was on hand to answer my questions and was up for a random chat. They’re good people.
If you want to have pure laughs and great experiences then try this strain…it will be nice to make sure I’m not just some hippy.

Completely agree, with out a doubt this is one of the best strains Ive had for anxiety/depression.

don’t take it personal, imo GenHub could be getting hundreds of message's a day and easily missing a few, so just message again and I’m sure you’ll get a response… that’s what I did and he replied & has been super helpful since!

A YT link of an uploaded clip of you just filming your computer screen on your mobile would be the easiest. If you don't want to use your personal YT account, you could setup another YT account just for this sort of thing. Just mark your upload as private so only people with the link can view it.
You can't upload videos, only images to LB, so it will have to be a video sharing site link. I think YT is the easiest to setup and share personally.

It doesn't technically have to be YouTube, any video host will work.... You can use some far more private services so you don't compromise opsec
