Shout out to greenmangb who offered an incredibly generous sample of 1 g dark cherry gelato cali 🍒 and 1g tropical lei static ⚡️ writing this after a wee spliff of the 2 combined... beautiful terps coming from both, the dark cherry isn't as fresh, as stated, but it still grinds up lovely and smokes very smooth. Recommended for Lgc lovers like myself but a lil darker and less gassy lemony... the hash is lethal, props around mid to late 60s thc% and smells zingy tropical, crumbly l, glistening and tastes delightful, a treat for me, but will be taking the offer on the honey banana on payday for sho... incredible value really. Comms great and arrived quick too. More vendors like this pls 🙏 💚

First things first I understand good weed ain’t cheap and cheap weed aint (always) good. However some of the prices on here are starting to get silly nah? And then ontop of that charging silly prices for the postal, or it’s not even optional, have to ask for the lister directly? What kind of nonsense is that. I also understand we’re all busy, but if your cut off time is before a certain time atleast surely be there actually looking at the orders and messages that way orders don’t get messed up & or people can actually make orders before cut off.

Cherry Mochi / Black Cherry Gelato - Sample Photos

Received these today, not had chance to smoke either yet but thought I’d put up a quick post to come back to.

The items were well packaged, double vacuum sealed and inside a padded envelope. Sent via RM 24 tracked and arrived promptly.

Photo is showing the Cherry Mochi on the left and the Black Cherry Gelato on the right.

The Mochi comes across as a really solid-looking flower. Dense and well-formed buds with a nice amount of visible trichome coverage and a darker, frosty appearance. Overall, the presentation is very impressive and it looks like a properly grown and well-cured flower.

The Black Cherry Gelato has a slightly more vibrant appearance, with green tones, darker areas and plenty of visible trichomes. The buds are dense and nicely packed together, it has a classic premium-bud appearance.

Both look and smell great, I will add some more feedback when I get chance to smoke them.

GC ("Green Cat") has also chosen to ignore my last 4 messages despite being active on Messenger every single day since the first message. LB Made Me Do It

I'm writing this up after a reviewer on the page of the new(ish) vendor, Organic Origin, was heckled about their opinion of a sample pack. I was mentioned in the comments as the sort of fella who could cast an unbiased opinion. So that's how we got here and that's what I intend to do. I've not done a weed review for a while but I'll do my best.

Please Don't Doubt Me

Before we start I'd like to make it very clear that I also have been sent a review sample but I would not write a single positive word about it unless I truly believed it. Please do not for one minute doubt what my integrity means to me. It is definitely not for sale. At least not for a bag of cheese.

Vendor Comms

It's hard for me to know the level of communication a customer might receive but the vendor was responsive to my messages and they seemed like a friendly sort in our short exchange of words.

Postage

I was sent the tracking details upon the parcel being posted. This is fairly rare from vendors but it's a nice touch. The parcel arrived within 24 hours so I didn't actually need them but it's nice to know that I'd not have had to chase the vendor should RM do their famous parcel dance.

Packaging and Stealth

The packaging was stealthy as fuck. Obviously it does no one any favours to specifically detail any vendors stealth methods but I can assure you this was once - twice - three times - a stealthy parcel. In terms of being both smell-free and tamper-proofed it was pretty much as good as it gets.

Delicate Buds

However the one niggle is that both buds were a little squared off. This wasn't major but one side was clearly impacted by the box or packing. They were not vacuum crushed like some you get which seem to have suffered a pressure implosion like an experimental submarine filled with millionaires, but the buds did look like your least favourite uncle had sat on them. They may well have entered the postal system in perfect condition and got bashed about or just been tight in the multi-packaging.

That's possibly one of the many reasons why the shaved pebble style of buds - which pack and travel easier - have become so popular. Some of the modern rock solid buds could be used to hammer fence nails in and still have bag appeal afterwards.

A Shame But Not A Huge Problem

These buds are clearly more delicate than the furry rocks as they've followed a more natural growing process. Neither of the buds were so compressed that it was actually a problem. It was just a shame that they'd not travelled perfectly as they clearly had a lot of care prior to starting their journeys. This has been equally true of purchases from other niche / smaller growers before too.

I'll put some photos below so you can see for yourselves what I'm trying to explain.

Cheese Origins

Those of us oldies who remember the original old cheese may need to take a deep breath, have a little moment of reflection, and finally let it go.

I doubt we'll ever find a cheese grown from seed that matches it. The original cheese was grown from a random skunk seed that happened to be a bit of a rogue. Then it was repeatedly cloned.

Everyone Had It

Seemingly pretty much every grower ended up with a cheese clone for a period of time. Compared to the generic street weed of the era it was a total revolution.

Absolute Stinker

The first cheese I picked up stunk out an entire train carriage and I sat there nervously hoping the old bill weren't going to step on at the next station and nick me for it. I'd done the same trip many times but this was the first time I stank out the train. The cheese era had started. I needed Tupperware.

Benchmark

I don't think a modern version, even if it was a near perfect copy of the original, would stand out in the same way.

Where it was once the stinkiest weed we'd ever had, we have now all had many other tasty and stinky bits to compare it to.

So I shall try not to harshly benchmark it against my own nostalgia. I honestly recommend we all let go of the past and do the same. Not just with the weed.

Cheese - In The Bag

Woah. That was a long intro huh.

I have had the bag of OO's cheese open in front of me while I wrote that. I can definitely smell it. And it's definitely a sweetened skunky, cheesy, old school aroma. Smell-wise it is recognisable to me as a cheese. But yes, probably not 'that' cheese with a visible smell trail leading down the street like the old bisto gravy adverts.

The Buds

The buds are carefully trimmed. It's got a little stickiness to it but it's not in any way damp. The biggest bud stem snapped upon pressure immediately as it's been properly dried and cured so the buds are evened out. It looks to me like a lot of love went into the production of this bud.

In The Grinder

It churns into nicely ground crumbs that are a little sticky with resin. It grinds cleanly leaving nothing sticking to the grinder teeth. A definite cheesey smell is released during the process too.

Consumption

As I currently only dry herb vape buds I am testing it in my Arizer Solo 2. I've written a couple of previous posts about stopping smoking joints so I won't rabbit on about it here.

Old School

The cheese immediately reminds me a bit of a 1990s Amsterdam coffee shop - oddly not a place I've ever had cheese. It has something of that old school quality about it though. Perhaps as it's a fresh and resinous skunk.

The weed demanded a slightly higher temperature than I generally set the vape at but released clouds of tasty vapour after I'd tinkered with it.

Skunky & Smiley

It's very skunky which is to be expected considering it is essentially a skunk but it definitely has the sweeter note you'd expect from a cheese. It hits with an initial fast rising high that's gently followed up with a more sedated but smiley stone.

I'm Blaming LB

I usually hit a couple of dabs after work but this would not have made it a fair test so I've parked my rig up.

I am pleasingly stoned from my first vapes full of cheese. But because this is a test for you lovely LB folk I'll blast another couple now to see if what I've written above feels correct. You people force me into this. Honestly you do.

More Hits

As I was swabbing the glass vapour tube clean and reloading I noticed a bit more stone creeping up on me from the first lot. That's a welcome bonus.

After round two I'm predictably much more stoned. Again I found it to be a skunky old flavour and again the initial hit was sudden enough to get my attention.

Is It Like The Original Cheese?

We've been over this earlier haven't we? No! No, it's not exactly like the original cloned cheese that only exists in our memories and is now seemingly impossible to buy.

But it is recognisable as a cheese and it is a lovely old school sweet skunky flavour and buzz. I just popped out and upon my return the first smell I noted in my house was of cheese. It wasn't as badly pungent as that train carriage from years ago but it still clinches it for me; it is recognisable as a cheese. But it is not time machine cheese.

Conclusion

I like it. I've sat here blazing through a few vapes and I'm really enjoying it. It's a really nicely balanced blast from the past. It's actually stronger than the other weed I've got in my jar currently which is a more modern pebble type bud. It's quite likely stronger than much of the mass grown cheese from back in the day despite not having the same pungent smell.

So yes, it's hard for me to really pick any fault with it other than a very minor gripe about how well it travels. If I'd bought this personally I'd have been pretty happy with it.

Miami Yayo

The name of this initially excited me as I thought it'd be related to the Miami Mami which is an orange leaning bud. However, according to the internet, it's not.

The Miami Yayo parentage is two other stand alone strains: Collins Ave and Medallin, neither of which I've had before. So the Yayo puts me in the unusual position of not having a reference in my internal knowledge bank for how it might taste. I guess there's only one way to find out what it's like.

In The Bag

In the bag it's got a familiar sharp note along the citrus lines but not into my favoured orange territory for sure. It's sad but I can tell an orange bud from twenty feet away. This is a flavour I know though. I just can't place it yet.

The buds, like the cheese, are grown perfectly well. It's dried and cured nicely too.

In The Grinder

The smell is very familiar but I still can't immediately place it. It's got a hint of RS11 but it's nowhere near that full, sweet or wide ranging. Maybe it's a little like the OZK. That's closer. But not right. There's definitely a lemonadey high note. Actually I think it's like the core flavour note of a Sunset Sherbet. I think that's the overriding initial smell. So not exactly a sweetshop flavour but some hints of that. It's the sickly sweet lemonade notes I'm picking up on.

Consumption Test

In the vape it has the sickly sour lemon flavour of a sunset but also hints of mint like a cookies strain and some gas pushing it all through. It's not citrus like the lemon hazes as it's more sickly sour.

Thick Clouds

The vapour clouds are thick and flavoursome. It chugs and hits like a modern strain compared to the much simpler cheese. Effects are more easily delivered as it's more complexly mixed than the cheese too. So the initial hit is gentler with a friendly sedation following along. It's an easy buzz to bob along with. It's not weaker. It just arrives less suddenly which I know some folks prefer.

Miami Yayo Verdict

I like this. It's got an interestingly complex sickly lemonade flavour and a gently creeping stone that feels like it's your friend. I'd buy this again. More so than the cheese.

To Sum Up

I honestly can't really fault either of the buds I've tested here. I've really enjoyed them both. They're grown well and trimmed up nicely. They smoke cleanly and deliver a great blend of flavour and strength. They seem fairly priced and while I can't judge the sales process, the comms and packaging were all on point too.

That's My Opinion

I was asked by more than one person on the original thread for my opinion and so this was it. You may not agree, and please feel free to open that discussion below, but still I stand by this being an accurate description of my experience getting these buds from Organic Origin and testing them this evening in my vape.

TL;DR: Pistache is still good for low cost products, but awful for communication and sending on time. If you NEED to buy from him for the sake of the price, message and dispute the moment they seem to be ignoring you. It'll light a fire under their asses to sort it out ASAP, cause they'll just clear your item from their page so you can't review them fairly for their failure to send the item.

I've been buying from Pistache for a while now. At first, items were consistently sent and received within a day. I didn't understand why his reputation was so awful. As more orders passed, the one day average became 3. This wasnt a big deal, because the price and the quality of the stuff was still pretty worth it. My past two orders were the ones that made me commit to just spending a little more money with a different vendor who sends on time or tells you when something's gone wrong.

For my most recent purchase, I paid on the 15th and only received my items on the 30th, a few days after I started the dispute. No tracking number and no explanation for why it was so late. One of the bags had some really good shit in it, the other was basically half stems, but I assume whoever packaged it just wanted to get it out and didnt care about the quality.

So ive received a very kind offer of 2x 8th of weed from this seller to test . Cheese and miami yayo . Package arrived and stealth was spot on . Upon opening i opened the cheese and took a big sniff Mmmm cheese . Quicky skinned up and opened the miami took a big sniff and wow even cheesier than the cheese . So half way through first joint i was feeling nice but let me tell u its a creeper . I finished it 10 mins ago and im still getting more buzz kicking in edit thee high rolled off after 20 mins leaving me nicely stoned and in a happy place . It tasted well flushed no weirdness its fucking lovely and very clean ash . Whoever left the Shite feedback was obviously having a bad day or is a vendor trying to sabotage a new seller . 04/08/26 — First time trying this new vendor and it's a great start 👌

I'll be honest, I don't usually go for shake, but this really surprised me. Straight away you can tell it's fresh, with a lovely smell and loads of terps coming through.

The flavour is just as good as the aroma, making for a really tasty smoke from start to finish. Everything about it looked, smelled and smoked fresh.

I'd genuinely put this in my top three shake listings that I've tried on LB. It never felt like I was scraping the bottom of the barrel—just a proper quality shake that delivers.

If funds are a little tight but you still want something enjoyable, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a bash. I'd happily pick it up again myself 💚
