What foods counteract caffeine?
Sometime I drink a coffee later in the day and pay the price in the middle of the night. Is there something I can eat to fight off the caffeine?

Try Tila, or Tilia tea. It's made from Linden flowers and in Spain it's so common that there's even a saying "Toma una tila", meaning chill out. It works. I was zero caffeine and one day after a strong Spanish coffee was shaking. I was a horrible mess of agitation and clutz! My host ordered me a tila made with 2 tea bags, after which I relaxed back in the chair and enjoyed the sun. I looked it up and there was surprisingly little pharma research. But what there was suggested that it worked on GABA receptors in the brain. The same receptors that benzodiazepines affect. I like it, but they don't sell it in my country, more's the pity. L-theanine is a great one, a potent buffer of caffeine in coffee is Taurine, Amino Acid, it acts as a sedative counteracting caffeines negative effects, its the reason they add it to Redbull, adding this and or switching decaf is the way to go.

Best thing is to change the coffee some types dven tho they have caffeine dont keep my fiance up at night. Also, coffee on an empty stomach is not ok, coffee before a workout— great as it helps to break down muscle tissue, coffee after a workout prevents muscle recovery. Maybe just do some cardio or dance sesh/whatever gets u movin

You can put grass fed [uk has grass so its pretty much just called] butter, but has to be grass fed cows, and putit in ur coffee, its called bulletproof coffee im the states, it actually makes coffee into a meal that doesnt give jitters :) Cheers

Dilution with water helps just like it does on the way in, drink as much as you are comfortable with. The potassium in bananas can also help with this.
